Awesome. I wonder how lightsaber would do? Style point for sure though. Gonna try and make this work with the new dragon scale, inferno strides, ect. Lvl 45 hydras might be pretty sick with conviction aura going down.
I believe I remember vanilla vengeance was coded to be a "cold skill" and received bonuses from "+ cold skill" affixes. Does it function the same in PD2?
Will a thorns/charge or thorns/zeal build be decent for Ubers this season. Im thinking of a budget uber build that seems like it would be relatively cheap but i don't know if the damage would be there

He's saying if your SC's etc. are all heavily in favor of flat fire dmg then you would want to go with the holy fire investment to increase the fire damage % on top of the high flat dmg.
holy fire, holy shock and holy freeze increase vengeances elemental damage by 2%/rank... it doesnt say it increases fire/cold/lightning dmg of vengeance.. so why does it matter which one you buff up?
so if you put fire facets in your gear, you are amplifying your fire damage. You want to make sure your holy fire synergy is maxed and lots of flat fire damage on gear as well to take advantage of this.
@@darkhumility4915 but thats not how the skill works, at least based on tooltip damage. A point in any of the three increases elemental damage of all three by 2%, holy fire doesnt increase fire damage more than cold damage. it increases them all by 2%.

In diablo 2 lod, when synergy was different, fire res aura added fire damage to vengeance, but in pd2 all synergies give "elemental" damage, which is fire/cold/lightning at the same time??

Cold and fire enchant with dual dreams...and kingslayer for vegence skill
i tried this....without the +Skills into vengeance the chaining isn't great. Not to say it couldn't be much stronger though.

what about the new dragonscale shield that gives you 211-371 fire damage15-20% fire skill damage and casting lvl 45 hydras on block?
He tested is, but Alma is just better because of Joust CD reduction.
yeah alma i think is just better. Don't need this extra damage. But on HC id probably use this :)

How does maxing Holy Fire, for example, synergies with facets? Aura adds damage only when active, that does not make any sense.
