I remember leading a squad in boy scouts and we had 2 hours to prepare a campfire skit over dinner. The other leaders were giving out specific times to eat and to work on the skit meanwhile my first decree was "alright everybody, go eat dinner first then come to me when you're ready to help"

This is so true. At my former workplace I was responsible for the apprentices. Whenever there was a problem I would convey my criticism to them as nicely as I could, trying really hard not to discourage them. And then my ESTJ coworker would come in and ruin all my efforts...
@@yukisan78 oh my goddess. as an INFJ, I can relate to you on so many levels. I have this aggressive ESTJ groupmate for group project, everytime I try to nicely/tactfully ask for improvement and make suggestions for my groupmate, the ESTJ would jump out and criticize the others in a straightforward and aggressive manner, which make the situation real awkward... it would be much understandable if she is responsible and reliable herself, which she is not... I think we INFJ just don't get along with ESTJ well
As a boss, I always gave compliment sandwiches. One negative in between two positives.

My former boss was ESTJ and whenever I would be training the new hires, I would be: very helpful, supportive and positive, while also making sure they learned and preformed correctly and giving constructive criticism when needed. Then my boss would just randomly have these "team meetings" and criticise everyone while not offering any productive comments of how everyone can improve. I would end up having to be the shoulder that the new hires would cry on. I feel like half the stress from my job was cleaning up the emotional mess my boss left, wherever he went.

But I'm only really seriously into it now, because I'm trying to use the MBTI to test against the characters I'm writing in my novel and that led me to want to know all personality types to be able to quickly recognize people and know how people work. So, do you know a lot about MBTI? And what's your type and did you watch the other types in this video?
@@senantiasa I do not know a whole lot about MBTI but I did try to take the test to find out my own and I was curious so I looked up INFJ to see if I was like that. And lots of those things line up with the way I am. I'm sure there is some way to quickly distribute between them for the characters that you are working with.

August Mi Hello fellow comrade, ENFP who also hates capitalism here ;) would also rather die than own a company. I would much rather create a co-op. Fuck the system, it really snuffs out any individuality and freedom ENFPs crave so much.
I'm not behind this. There is only so much of that you can do before it's a false economy. It pushes people with limited skills into being more likely to be dependent on welfare programs, paid for in part by company tax dollars, or it would leave a bunch of people with nothing to do and plenty of time to get into trouble. Employment has ancillary benefits beyond a pay check and insurance; my cashier job, for example, has helped me polish my social skills as well as pay down my car loan, although I am actively trying to find something with less social interaction and higher pay. And hey, monotonous factory might not be your dream job (it sure isn't mine), but it can be someone else's.
@Jonathan Peters I misread your comment and thought you were talking about coming to a job interview and instead of accepting, you write a code that eliminates the need for the position you were interviewed for. That would be the ultimate INTJ move. Zero emotions and greed, pure problem solving for the sake of it.
I feel like the infp should be in the bathroom talking to himself about how he should talk to the guy about his late project, and then awkwardly realizes that guy who he needs to talk to is in the other stall over.

I feel this so badly. I just waited a week to get a response from somebody (thankfully not work related) and was stressing yesterday about wanting to ask them about it but not wanting to bother them because I don't want them to feel pushed into responding. It has now moved onto the 'I waited a week, you can wait a day' section of correspondence while I work out exactly what I want to say.

INFP here, and surprisingly I've found that I function better in a leading position. I'm good at telling people what to do and even giving them shit (although not too hard) for not performing well. I don't know, maybe there is a surpressed ESTJ in me?

As an intj, I would never hold a baby. When there's a baby in the same room I'm in, I stay cautiously far and just smile, to display either the minimum amount of joy I'm supposed to actually feel (and that I don't feel at all) and a socially accepted embarrassment that could communicate to the other adults that I don't usually interact with children, and therefore I'm not a person you'd want to hold your baby. Babies are terribly fragile, did you know that? They're so fragile they may die if they're sleeping with the head in a slightly wrong position, were you aware of that? You should put them in an Iron Man suit, instead of risking their lives just to bother people, what kind of monster are you?
I'm an ENFP and I looove babies! 😍 They're so cute, I just wanna hug them and play with them! Except for the babies that are 3-6 years old, there's just so much trouble with them. But some of them are still cute

As an INTJ my favorite days to come in to work were Saturdays and Christmas holidays, when the office was practically empty and I could think without being interrupted. Never felt lonely or scared, like some of my other coworkers did; I just enjoyed the sounds of silence, and the internal workings of my brain...
My daughter. Works with computer graphics with one other person in the office.
And works from home one day a week, with her cat.

I'm and INFP and if i was a boss what i would do is create two sections in the office to separate introverts and extroverts so the introverts can have some peace and quiet. Obviously any of them that want to be in the extrovert side (or viceversa) can move there, but just having that option would be lovely.

I have an INTJ boss and I am an INTJ. During my job interview, this boss literally asked me what MBTI type am I. Now I am pretty sure he accepted me to work at the company because I am an INTJ. Maybe he was like, 'ok, I can handle someone like me'.
Turned out we really don't have many differences and clashes at work cuz we both have the same goal, efficiency and effectiveness...

My boss didn't even get to tell me the details of what I had to do and I was like 'Ok I get what you mean don't worry I'll get it done' then he just waited for me to get it all done, sometimes using my own way of finishing it but he never complained about my work. Sometimes he would add a few tricks to make it more efficient cuz efficiency is vital. but that was it. Really mutual respect. 👍

Also so that INTJs can work in peace with minimal human interactions. Since interacting with other people for us is very distressing. Especially colleagues at work cuz often we try to maintain everything to be professional, so we don't have time for chit chats and small talks, while usually as colleagues we tend to have to do so...
but don't worry INTJs don't hate people we just dislike to interact on a daily basis... :D

This is a public forum, after all. There are countless other ways to express oneself, without choosing the ones, that you know are offensive. Words do have effect on people, that's a fact. I am also INTJ and i can literally understand that. It's better to have machines that their PURPOSE IN LITERAL EXISTENCE IS TO WORK OR DO A CERTAIN TASK than humans with all those needs and wants. A good robot just needs good amount of power that will be way cheaper. A good human will need a shit ton of stuff plus me paying them more to keep them so I do believe that good humans are hard and expensive but a good robot might be expensive but its not hard

I’m an INFP, I calmly lead them. I don’t want to pressure them too much. It might affect their work negatively if they feel awful and stressed.
ENTP was pretty much accurate, I always end up telling my friends stories about how I got stuck in unfortunate situations just because I was trying to do a good job and how I wished everyone could do the same effort lol

The ENFP CEO sounds like he has such a fun company. That company may become surprisingly profitable. Studies show happy employees work harder. He should get an INTJ as his right hand (hu)man to help build structure, devise implementation strategies, etc.
As an INTJ it makes me sad that my CEO brother wants to hire robots in the future. I would take pride in my company supporting the livelihood of PEOPLE. I wouldn't want to change them out for robots.

I secretly think that INTPs in Silicon Valley designed those great workplaces for other INTPs and for similar folk. Ironically I thrive in a fun, friendly group environment like that (where you can still go and escape into your nap pod or music listening room if you need to).

Look, ISTP is good boss or leader by reminded how flexible they're. They dont even care what other feeling and how they talk behind you. And of course they tend to have balls to take a risk. They also get easily bored with usual stuff and doesnt want to do same things over and over. Thats make them always having new idea and solutions

That last one for ENFP reminds me of a Virtual Reality company I worked for, for a few months, in 2016-2017. Except they didn't have all the cool stuff. I eventually had the impression that the company was hemorrhaging money yet the boss still had the general attitude of "but we are cool."
