Sweet '77 Deluxe. The '77 Deluxe I used to have came with a mahogany neck and a 6-Digit S/N (398812). I purchased it in March of 1977, it was most likely made in 1976.
I use the cardboard neck rest that one of my guitars were shipped with from the factory to help support the neck in transit and it works perfect. It was free 99 and has held up great over the years.
Gibson QC Boss : SEND IT ANYWAY- its good enough!!! Gibson worker : But Sir, it still needs work, the electronics aren’t working!! Gibson QC Boss: Dammit Jimmy, I SAID SEND IT ANYWAY!! Now get back to work!!
I bought an Ibanez R from a guy I know real cheap. He was on tough times. Needs a bit of TLC since it sat in a corner collecting dust and what looks like grubby fingers played on it. Its caked in the bridge and some other parts. It was missing the middle pickup. When I asked what happened he said every Tim he engaged the center pickup he got a little shock. He then tells me he took out the pickup and made a shovel guitar with it. Never new what to believe with that guy. But it's just another project I'm slowly working on during rainy days.
I'm digging the double Les Paul silkscreened headstock label.. I luv Quirky types of guitars. Especially ones that leave the factory misprinted or different in some way. Rock On Troglodytes!!!
I’ve repaired so many handles over the years of playing in a band with that same wire fix but I use to just duct tape it over i never never used foam. But it works when you handle breaks
That is one of the most beautiful Les Pauls I've ever seen and by far peaked my "I want that guitar". It's better than a mint new to museum piece. Keep it.
Years ago I bought an Epiphone Les Paul Goth. It's satin black and has Roman numerals on the fretboard. Have you ever seen one and could you do a show about it?
Sorry Trogly but the Natural Deluxe looks like Bonamassa would play it .&..The Blue Sparkle Deluxe like It would be in the New York Dolls Band ..THE NATURAL DELUXE LOOKS LIKE A MANS GUITAR
I repeat what I said in the US 1 episode: the middle pickup looks like it's weakly connected because of the exposed copper of the lead, I think the original pickup could still be saved
Ive been told by someone who knows..that blonde and natural finish guitars are always adorned with the finest tops . As they are transparent and reveal all blemishes. I like trogs mission statement....everythings for sale for the right price.. lol
Hey Austin, Could a Japanese strat copy made in the 70s ("lawsuit period") have any resale value? The brand is Luxor, with no S/N to understand details. I'm considering modifying the guitar, but if that's a vintage thing, maybe I shouldn't?
What is the name of that Acoustic track you're playing in the background at the end. I've heard it before, only on RUclips. And I've been trying to find out who, and what that is. Thanks so much..
This was a brand new guitar with a warranty. I’m not going to mess with a hollow body if I don’t have to. Fishing through the F holes and pickup routes is not something I have time for
@@jts3339 I have to agree with you, the risk in shipping alone makes it not worth it, I get not everyone is a luthier or has mechanical skills but come on! Here’s an idea, fix it and film it for an episode trogley, there’s too many players these days that can’t even adjust a truss rod, knowing your guitar inside and out can be just as important as playing, and save you a bundle in the long run
Yesss, Woody Dux!! Quack. I wonder if they did Natural Sparkle? Hmm. Finally, Lovell gets her voice back, now she'll be screaming. I thought unboxing was two fighters in the ring never taking a punch. Ü♫
I had one in 1990 that i paid $300.00 for. About two weeks after I got it the guy I bought it from wanted it back. He missed it so much I let him have it.
Trogly's I want to buy that Melody Maker full unit pickguard ! How can i email you for you to give me a price ( of course please test it to see if it works okay ) I am making one for me and that fits perfect for my project guitar ! So are you selling it ?
You still use these "tools" for screws? Good god, take a decent screwdriver. Propper fitting to your hand and the screws. Way better feel and turnability and less risk of slipping and scratching. Please!
Everything’s for sale you say? How much for the kids? Maybe not all of them. How much for one? I’m doing you a favor here. Think of the money you’ll save. I have a bunch of asbestos that needs to be cleaned up. I don’t want to go near that stuff. What’s your rock bottom number?
This channel has just turned into Trogly bragging about stuff he has that no one else does....I wish it would go back to actually being useful and informative.
Gibson guitars are like Apple "unveiling" the "new" iphone each year. They're all the same and it's getting old. And believe it or not, Gibson is worse than Apple. They've been dang near the same since 1950. Sad.
Man that natural deluxe is really cool looking!
Wow that Natural Les Paul is beautiful. Love natural finishes.
Don't you just love hearing the music of the intro. You know its gonna be a good day whenever you hear it
you can train your perfect pitch after a while
Whackers
He posts every day. So is every day a good day? Nope
Love that first guitar, the natural LP. Gorgeous in its own way.
Yes. Simple and elegant. I like Gibson LP's, never had a real one ( just Epiphones) so I cant chime in about QC. Someday.

The Slim Harpo Guitar is the Michael Myers of signature guitars on the Trogly show.
Your natural lighting is great in this video man
The motto of Gibson QC. " That will do ok "
Sad but true.
Very nice Deluxe. Also, your quick demo of the detuning when the headstock is not supported was an eye-opener. Great channel.
The blue sparkle seems to be your favorite
That deluxe is stunning.
Trogly's in the HOUSE!!!
Greg's in the house 🏠 😳 🙄 👀 😂 😐.

That's what my 79 standard looks like, the blonde natural top just spoke to me, still my favorite guitar after 40 years.
That deluxe is beautiful. It's good that you're leaving it original. Looks like someone slid it under a bed or in a closet and forgot about it.🎸🤘
Yes sir
I love the handle repairs. Some one should make a coffee table book with pictures of all the rigged handle on cases.
Great show

My first LP...76 Deluxe natural...I bought it in 1987 for $425. Its the one guitar I will never sell...ever.
Good! Don't. I bought one in '81 or '82 but sold it before going overseas in '88. I'd sure like to have it back. Best regards
Here buddy
Enjoying this new demo/review/unpacking room...
Thanks for the Donner code.....the stereo tape delay on the way...$36 delivered. Killer Killer deal.
Dang I really liked both those deluxes.
Very nice Deluxe I have 74 and 76 Goldtop both are awesome guitars and play so good. I love Gibson Les Paul Deluxes.
Nothing beat a natural finish...😍
5000 for that deluxe is a steal 🤘
😀

Washer and dryer in the house!!
I use the Music Nomad neck rest, highly recommend. It’s really well designed.
That natural deluxe is so clean wow it's a keeper 👌
Apologies to Greg, but Troglys in the NEW house!
Hi Austin I really like that that Les Paul deluxe I had one it was a white sparkle and I'm glad to see you got your USA guitar fixed
I'm happy he let that Deluxe alone, it'd be crininal to mess with the parts of a guitar that clean
I wanted one of those forever so I could route it for hum buckers and spray it Cherry.. Lol
@@robertlampack792 at least get a trashed one, don't ruin a prestine one
@@robertlampack792 and why would you want a deluxe if you want humbuckers? Get a normal Les Paul haha, it is less work
✌️

That Les Paul is in beautiful shape for its age! That Deluxe is a pretty cool guitar as well, nice example you have there Austin 👍
I'm not big on natural finishes. But that one is beautiful 😍
A full review of that Deluxe please!
The last guitar.😍
11:16 do you mean that is has a 3d effect where the finish follows the quilting? Kinda like a BFG but only lightly on the edges of the quilts?
Man, I love that natural Deluxe! Will you be selling that on your website!? 😁
Those are two of the most gorgeous Les Paul Deluxes I've ever seen.
Nice to see some unboxing. Always en best posts.
Years ago I bought an Epiphone Les Paul Goth. It's satin black and has Roman numerals on the fretboard. Have you ever seen one and could you do a show about it?
The Epiphone Thunderbird Goth had the same inlays, I think. Really cool looking guitars.
What's the weight of that Deluxe?
Trogly is the man . Pokémon t shirt ftw
MSG shirt would be cooler!

Perfect t solution trog my dude...buy an exact double of guitar so u can take the knobs you want!?! I feel like an idiot for buying NOS parts
Some parts are hard enough to find separately- it makes sense to do
Don’t you dare show any more Silverbursts Trogly! No more Adam Jones either! Grrrr !
Thats a shiny looking guitar you got there! how about you do a video on how you polish your guitars to get that factory shine, Austin?
He uses Virtuoso cleaner and polish.
