  • This one is really over the top! I would say Project X is one of a kind, but King Neptune and the Creature are all in a league of their own. The metalwork in this build is elite. Definitely a sick layout. I cant wait to finish this thing up and drop it in the water!

The work that went into the gunnels is pretty impressive. At 7:16 you can clearly see the challenges of this work as the weld pulls the clamp along the rounded edge. This movement/shrinkage changing of position that happens under heat is one of the real hurdles of welding in general. Often there is some bumping and realignment that happens along the way. I am pointing out not to be critical, but to show audiences how involved this work is so they can appreciate it. Real nice work.

Glad to see you and Anthony are helping each other out. Y'all are both good dudes and have a lot in common when it comes to building boats. Helping each other out is how you get sh*t done. Keep up the EXCELLENT work.

It’s so cool to see how far you’ve taking the 1652.
It’s great to see you getting support with LEDs, turf, and accessories.

Fantastic looking boat so far. Love the top rail. I hate the round rail on my john boat.

Great video(s)! You’ve got MAD skills! I agree that your work is art - and craftsmanship. I’ve got an idea for the side panels where the deck meets the hull: you mentioned that the gaps can be caulked, but why not weld the entire length? This will avoid the mess and (probable) failure of the caulk, and add strength to the build overall. Wouldn’t those welds also be waterproof? Keep up your excellent work, and I’ll look forward to following the progress…

I appreciate it. Unfortunately that much welding will cause a lot of warping. Plus I have to get all of those hatches powder coated. It would be impossible to weld through the powder coating

That big rail is sick, would be dope to have some sort of versa track attached to the inside to attach whatever you want

For now, I'm just improvising. Eventually I will get an extrusion made when I start building my own boats.
