May be you don't know about Civil Engineering.
Because other engineering branches have subjects.
But Civil Engineering has Engineerings as subjects. Those were
1. Structural Engineering
2. Water Resources Engineering
3. Geotechnical Engineering
4. Transportation Engineering
5. Environmental Engineering
So, Civil Engineering is Sum of Engineerings. It is the most toughest engineering.

from my experiences and exposures, i'd say the following are the 3 most difficult branches:
1) ECE/EEE/EIE
2)Engineering in pure mathematics
3)Aerospace Engineering
(CSE is a relatively easier branch compared to the other branches)

Compute engineering for me was an absolute disaster/chaos as you not only have to understand the hardware down to the smallest component but also have to understand the code and some networking behind it too. But don’t get me wrong I have enjoyed it too

@@Sggjfb CS is Computer science where you are our most focused on the software. Computer engineering (CE) is the combination of EE and CS where you focus on both hardware and software. It is way harder than CS though
Lol joke, Electronics knows it too & in more better way. Other than that, Electronics has really hardcore Electromagnetic subjects (Electromagnetics, Microwaves, Antennas, RF, RADAR, etc.)

I studied Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, I thought it's tougher than Mechanical engineering, we do a bit of Mechanical, geology, polymer and textile, civil and chemical(fluid behaviour)

@@jeeadvancedee9183 eee is purely based on electrical with basics of electronics. Thats why EEE cannot enter easily into electronics. ECE is pure electronics based subject so it is IT related and get easily into IT than EEE

But in ECE you have to do maths
And many ECE core subjects contain maths
I would suggest if you are solely interested in IT sector then
Choose CSE or IT

Mera Bhai Mechanical automobile engineer hai aur Aerospace engineering, rocket engineering, satellite engineering, Nuclear Engineering (if you do it then you'll known as Particles/Nuclear Physicist) most tough. And now Quantum Engineering also came to exists (nano technology engineering) .

@@mayank3758 Actually on talking about this branch it's syllabus is vast and deep study of each and every subject is required in this. If you are focusing on core subjects from the second year and getting your concepts clear from starting then you don't need to worry much about the outcomes.

My university used to have a pharmacology focused minor pair with Chem E for those interested in a bio pathway. I’m going to be honest, those pharmacology courses were probably the most difficult courses I’ve ever taken & where a real ego crusher for an engineering student, the whole learning process was completely abstract & obtuse from the way engineers learn & operate. Bio kinetics & pharmacogenomics, almost made me question why I went to college in the first place. I have alot of respect for biochemists & molecular biologists, just a completely different way of thinking all together.
Me who opt chemical engineering : WOAH! I CHOSE THE TOUGHEST ENGINEERING BRANCH. WOW.

@@hharpit4423 because of no prequisite basic knowledge I can't understand concepts, and teachers don't explain basics and prequisite saying, "I will not teach you this part, as you all learnt in diploma".
(And asking teacher to explain will be like drawing attention everyone will think who is he can't even do the basic.)

@@benediction5174 it is relative for everybody but for me i had done first and second semesters onine and third semester was my first semester in physical classes it was all new for me and every professor was in a hurry so it became difficult for me (because in online i had studied nothing literally)
I think that mechanical engineering is not easy if you want to study it conceptually as there are a lot of confusing concepts, a lot of courses and your teachers usually don't explain the concepts much they are only focused on doing numerical problems but if you want to only pass exams than it is very easy ( only learn how to solve numericals ) but that kind of study is of no use for me.
I might be wrong but it has been my experience.
