The healer targeting on controller guide you mentioned would be appreciated man. Maybe you could cover other useful healing tips that apply across the board in it too.
This set up really helped me clean up and streamline my cross hotbar. Thanks so much for this. A tank somewhere owes you their lives lol. A literal life saver lol.
I just wanted to thank you for your videos on UI set up for controller. I just started playing ffxiv and sometimes the way skills auto populated were not helpful for my play style. This helped me immensely!
haha Thank you! I am going to do all jobs, Tanks were easier then the rest, so it is taking me a little longer for the healers and dps and the videos will probably be longer too since there is a bit more explaining to do
@@BunBossFFXIV awesome! I'm a sprout, and your controller + UI guides made life so much easier for me. I'm now level 50+ Dragoon and can't wait for your setup guide!
Thanks for the guide! I'm a lvl 31 whm on controller and so far your setup's been very intuitive and user friendly to use for a complete healer beginner. You asked what we may use Repose for - in my case, I would use it when I was just starting out and getting my healer bearings when attacking a mob! I'd put em to sleep until I felt more confident lol. I also recently put big monsters to sleep if I wanted to pass through an area quickly without wanting to fight, haha.
I've just returned to 14 and to change thins up, attempt to use a controller, and your guides for the set up are so helpful I don't even know how describe how much of a help they've been! Thank you so much!
I'm happy to use this but I do wish you had left the names on the abilities. I've watched several times but keep missing the name of a few abilities... which one is what is after benediction? because all I hear is benediction, confession and there is no confession on my list??
Hey! Jic you're still waiting for an answer or for anyone else reading, I believe it was just a slip of the tongue and what he meant to say was Plenary Indulgence (which grants Confession).
I like how you think about mapping buff abilities to the same face buttons as their commonly used GCD "partners", e.g. PoM + Glare. It's got me thinking, if you also utilized the RT+LT/LT+RT feature, you could also do the same with Plenary Indulgence, and map an AOE GCD, like Rapture, to RT+LT RAL, so immediately after hitting Plenary, you can immediately fire off a buffed Rapture. Additionally, putting Assize on RT+LT RAD could make a great AOE combo of Plenary > Rapture > Assize, with very few button clicks. Something I'll try myself, building off your setup, so thanks for the inspiration!
Repose is more useful for solo content such as job quests while we progress. Need to talk to someone or interact with an object next to an aggressive mob? Put it to sleep. Does the job quest pit you against 3 chonker mobs? As a healer, you should be fine, but what if you're struggling? Put the other two to sleep and go at it one by one. Was there a momentary lapse in healing and the tank fell in a dungeon? Preferably, a caster should cast their AoE sleep, but it's worth a try.
Can someone help are all these abilities unlocked by the white mage I set this up as a beginner and idk if I’m even going to unlock half the abilities he’s is using
I was trying not to copy you completely but your setup is too good and I’m not smart enough to get a good setup. I’ve watched through this multiple times since getting to Heavensward and it’s just too smart. Got a lot of blanks for now though since I’m only level 56
I'm finding it annoying how the community has twisted it so that misery is now damage neutral now that it's compared to 4 glares as apposed to how it was in shadowbringers when we compared it to 3 glares. If it was how the community said then shouldn't misery have been 1200 potency last expansion than the 900 it was since it would've been always a dps loss since its incarnation. Maybe everyone was just blinded by the shiny new move that did massive damage and just wanted to see more of it. At least everyone can enjoy the critical direct hit misey numbers now and hope the devs remember to buff the potency when we get a 320 potency glare next expansion, or we'll just be in the same situation that whm was in before 6.1.

Yea I second this. I'm a returning player and moving from a Orbweaver to Controller so any advice is welcome!
Yes would love to see that
I struggle with that too!
Single target healing is probably the hardest part when playing with controller. Need some guide to help me get used to it

Do u like controller or keyboard better? I haven’t tried keyboard yet
Love these. I’m in IT and have what will eventually “evolve” into carpal tunnel, so I play games on controller 95% of the time. This is great!
Do happen to gave an image file of this layout you could share? Like just an Imgur Link or something to help with setting it up.
How do set up your other crossbars to be L1 l2 r1 r2? Plz ty

Just came back to this yet again to set up my old character for practice :)
I am excited to try this out! Remapped everything and now I am terrible haha. Plenty of time to relearn however!
You can do it! 😚
thanks looking forward to sage smn and mch. I hope to see all of the jobs.
You will :)

I’m using your crossbar setup but can’t seem to figure out how to add spells to RT2 and LT2 on the top crossbar

The one healer I don’t have yet lol this would be the first one. 🤣🤣🤣
Playing white mage on a 50 inch tv and trying to find the perfect hud ui set up is probably the hardest thing 🤭
Please make sure the names of the abilities are on screen. I watched the same video and was so confused the abilities look a lot alike.
Thank you!
Thank you
