The ELR's Autumn Steam Gala continued the celebration of the merger of the LYR and LNWR, featuring the largest collection of Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway locomotives in preservation.

The weekend saw an intensive timetable. On Friday 'Ann' was in action at Castlecroft, shunting wagons in front of the Bury Transport Museum. On Saturday Pug 19 was in use on a 3P20 Photo Charter to begin the day, with a series of run pasts at Burrs Country Park. The locomotive then performed shunting demonstrations in the sidings at Ramsbottom. On Sunday the Pug was on duty shunting Castlecroft, while we see if leaving platform 1 at Bury and heading through platform 3.
Highlights from the weekend include 52044 on a freight train on Friday afternoon at Little Burrs, double headed action including 52044 & 52322, 1054 & 51456 and 1054 & 34092 City of Wells.
Please note, there is no public lineside access on the East Lancs, lineside shots are taken as a Working Member with Accredited Photographer status.
