Had me crying and laughing as well and both at the same time. My wife and I are both in our early 50's and have been married for 32 years. We even dated for 5 years before we married and we have never seen such an accurate depiction of ourselves in a film about two people in love. The man who wrote this must love his wife very much and know true happiness. This was honest and humble. I think I just learned to appreciate life a little more. My wife and I have actually never been happier or more in love than we are today. We also recently found out we will be grandparents soon. So nice to share this life with an Irish Lady. I looked this up because I know the Irish have a way with poetry and my wife is Irish. I hoped to find something good and got more than I could have imagined. Very well done.
Most beautiful, honest, deeply loving, appreciative, heartfelt, sweet comment I've seen anywhere on RUclips this week!💖 Bless your growing family always, from an Irish lady! 💚🍀
Same here Paul, been married 44 yrs. More in love today than 44 yrs. ago. It is a deeper love, a mutual respect. One son and two grand kids that are old enough now to have kids of their own. I turn 70 and my wife is 5 yrs. and a week younger. Cheers Paul.
This is my blessed parents except Mom was Irish, fun, extroverted, music theater, emotional. Dutch Dad down to earth, reserved college prof & passed 7 yrs before her. Incredible 65 yrs devoted together & I'm sure he said I've been waiting for you, Allie Mae💕
I love the way they talked through the tension. And reminded each other of why they love each other even when they each get it wrong. Gorgeous. I want to build a relationship like this.
Crying from laughing and from sadness. What a beautiful movie. My parents are 84 and 81 and i've been trying to prepare myself for their leaving. Thank you for making this movie
I had no idea the story will take turn like this ! I was just crushing on Leonard badly! So Handsome ! Literally Cant stop crying watching this ! Oh my God ! This was so Beautiful and intense and most emotional thing i ever watched !!!! I m crying Rivers !!!! theres so many thoughts and feelings running in my head which are so Emotional which i cant explain ! I m just thinking when we will die and our loved ones will die and we will meet like ruby and Len and watch our own funeral, we wont be able to interact with our living loved ones while we are watching them in our funeral ! After we die Wont our Soul be so emotional when we will besides our loved ones but not able to interact with them, watching them without our souls presence felt bieng felt by them, and knowing that we are no more in the world where we were born! its heartbreaking thinking about this while watching this ! Len and Ruby talking normally through the tension is so unbelievable and lonely ! The Song and Music in the End cant stop me from Crying! The Piano and ....i go where you go.... This is Genius, Masterpiece, Legendary....never seen something so emotional like this! Actors and Makers of this short films are Genius and soo talented ! Love you Leonard and Ruby ! Love is so Magical, Precious....Love is Everything!❤❤❤❤
Lizzie, so sweet a story. I lost my true love almost 50 years ago. Everyone loved him not just me. Left two children behind too who needed him dearly. He was the best of everything.
This film is so beautiful! It made me laugh and cry at the same time. Remembering my Love who sadly passed away 3 years ago. The longer we were married the better it got. He drove me bonkers sometimes but I would never have exchanged him for any other man. He was the Love of my Life and I miss him terribly!!!❤
What a beautiful movie. The actors were fantastic. I laughed and chuckled at the cute humor, and cried at the funeral. I agree with you, Paul, what a great depiction of what LOVE can be. How lucky to be loved as beautiful as Len loved Ruby❤️.
I'm a geezer (67) in a relatively new relationship with a woman I wish I'd met 50 years ago. It's never too late to find the love of your life. This little film brought tears to my eyes. It's one of the best I've seen in damn near forever. LOVE the actors! And of course the cinematography and directing are also top notch! How is it possible that Pauley Shore movies merit giant Hollywood budgets when films like this are lucky to get produced on a shoestring? Most unfair!
So beautiful, great companionship and communication ... the real stuff of life! About time there was more about ageing and death. We all end up there some day
My old dentist at 90+ was cackling well pleased with himself. He'd just gotten what his wife always wanted....a prime site in the countryside....a double grave! When he passed away some years later his long suffering wife followed him a few days later. She was gentle elegant and kind....he was argumentative hectoring and full of mischief....the perfect match. In his surgery on a high shelf sat a magnificent carving of her beautiful head With it's plaits surrounding her lovely face in gentle repose.
Such a lovely moving film. People like this are the lucky ones. Someone to walk the road of life with, shoulder to shoulder in the hard times, and hand in hand in love. ❤
I’ve had that kind of love, and after my hubby passed, I didn’t think I’d survive the loss. Like Ruby and Len, he made me face the inevitable, by living in the present, ensuring happy memories, and living without regrets. You cannot imagine what a gift it was to have the coroner ask me about plans, and being able to respond to him without hesitation, as we’d discussed everything. To be alone afterwards, and reflect that everything I needed to move forward, he’d given me. Leonard Nimoy, of Doctor Spock fame, said days before he passed “A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but only preserved in memory.” Thankfully mine are all happy! ❤️❤️ Happy New Year everyone!
Bravo to everyone concerned. So well acted. Kate O Tool didn't lick it off a stone either. Superb! She's inherited not just his acting skills but her dad's beautiful bone structure too. Can't wait to watch her again. 🥰
My Mom just passed at 93 years of age. My Dad is 98. Just in time, my sister and I convinced them to be buried in the Veteran’s cemetery.it is beautiful and beautifully maintained. My Dad is having a hard time with Mom’s passing.
Can only agree with the previous comments. Celebrating a Ruby wedding is becomong a rarity. A gentle, honest and moving snapshot of a happy couple. Well done and thanks.
Adorable, delightful, tasteful...the list of compliments to this movie is endless! One can only hope that we have more genuine relationships like this in this world.
What a touching and mindful gift idea! Loved their picnic. And also those ruby home-sweet-home shoes and opera cards (using ipod🤣) to please her. Beautiful couple, lovely sense of humour. Gorgeous film ❤️
This unbelievably beautiful film is a personal message for me. My wife turned 76 years of age this week and I turned 77 the week before. We will be married 56 years in a couple of weeks and have been together for 61 years. We have been blessed with seven grandchildren. Four of them are half Irish/American but we love them anyway. Only the Irish can rip out a man's heart and replace it fully healed in one fell swoop leaving the man all the better for it. Damn you and may God bless you.
Why why why and how could you make me travel through all emotions with all of your short and great stories every single time??? Ohh good lord tears in my eyes and smiles on my lips!!! I pray for love that stick with me through thick and thin.
This will be my husband and I one day. We promised to meet in the Aurora Borealis for a final dance. He has been waiting for me the last fourteen years and I cannot wait to see him again. Thank you for sharing this beautiful Ruby with us.
Very sweet story. We have always had a great deal of respect and admiration for the Irish people and their journey - we are in Canada, and have appreciated Irish poetry, art and filmmaking for a long while. This short doesn’t disappoint - gracias 🍁 LCA
Love the story twists… laugh, cry, … On the side note, this looks like a family business. So many credits to the Creagh & few other family names…lol. Great production & all.

Hilariously lovely! I lost my beautiful Sandra in January. We were together 41 years. Hurt is still here, but this helps immensely. Thank you.❤️
Genuine.. heartfelt empathy 😢🫶🙏🇨🇦
2nd beautiful short film ... the 1st was "Love at First Sight" ... both with the message of love and friendship...thank you.
exactly...just before RUBY i watched ' LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT' of John Hurts,,,as you said both are best
I've seen a few shorts today, and this was the best. Yes, I cried. Yes, I laught. This was good.

superb film. Thank you!
Married 32 years and I tell my wife I love her pretty much most days.
How sweet, just as it should be, if you have someone you love, cherish the time you have. It's lonely when it's gone.
Well, here's me crying. Such a beautiful love story!
The film was really sweet and nicely directed. The ending was definitely something didn't think of. Good 20 min invested. 👍
My first tears since my eye surgery. I thought I lost my tear gland. Excellent short film.
What a gorgeous masterpiece.....love it....thank you for that gift🙏🌞🌞🌞❤❤
I love the way they talked through the tension. And reminded each other of why they love each other even when they each get it wrong. Gorgeous. I want to build a relationship like this.
I had a similar relationship, but lost her 3 years ago ... wonderful memories.
The beauti in this story is beyond any words. I think this is what a perfect marriage looks like.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
It is I know first hand. Just beautiful.
Yes, it's a perfect marriage and beyond.
Crying from laughing and from sadness. What a beautiful movie. My parents are 84 and 81 and i've been trying to prepare myself for their leaving. Thank you for making this movie
My mother is 82. I can’t imagine anything happening to her. Ni always thought I’d die before her

What a magical movie. ❤ Yes, my belief is that all we have…and need…at the end is Love. Love is eternal. Thank you for a gem of a ‘short’.
As a widow I really enjoyed this! I love how they ended up together. It's a very lonely road alone without my spouse.
This had me in floods. What a lovely story.

I've never felt a love like that. Not from my parents, not from my wife, not from my kids.
That's what really brought a tear to my eye.
I was going to say somthing similiar. It is the one thing I pine for and then it becomes to late.
Think what you are doing wrong bruh
You dont know anything about stephen or his relationships. It was unkind to assume its because he is doing something wrong. @adribearson9712
