칠족령 (뼝대) 은 정선군 신동읍 제장마을에서 평창군 미탄면으로 넘어오는 고개이다 .뼝대는 사투리 절벽 의 듯.
동강 문희 마을앞에는 칠족령이 장엄한 모습으로 우뚝 서 있다 . 이 칠족령의이름은 옻칠을 하던 선비하나가 에있는 강아지가 발에 옻을 묻히고 줄행랑을 처서 옻자국을 따라가니 고갯길 위에 칠족령이 보였고 고갯길에서 바라본 동강의 풍경이 장관 이었다 한다 그리하여 칠족령 이름이 붙었다 한다.

Chiljokryeong (Byeoldae) is a pass that goes from Jejang Village, Sindong-eup, Jeongseon-gun to Mitan-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun. Byeoldae is a dialect word that means cliff.
In front of Donggang Munhui Village, Chiljokryeong stands tall and majestic. The name of Chiljokryeong is said to have come from a scholar who was painting lacquerware. His dog got lacquer on its paws and he followed the lacquer marks. Chiljokryeong appeared on the mountain pass, and the view of Donggang from the mountain pass was spectacular. Thus, the name Chiljokryeong was given.
