Hampi was once a prosperous and grand city on the banks of river Tungabhadra. The city was then the capital of Vijaynagara Empire, one of the strongest empires of India.
The other three locations Aihole, Pattadakal and Badami were once occupied by the famous Chalukya Dynasty of the Southern India, where Badami was their capital.
Today, while visiting the places, we can witness the glorious past of our country which were left behind by these great empires.
