Q: Do you plan before, during, or after the week?
A: It varies from video to video, but typically I plan 2-3 times during the week and stitch the clips together. I rarely plan the entire week in advance or the entire week retroactively.
Q: Do you use all of these planners?
A: Yes and no. Every week, there is something in my life that takes priority over the others whether it be school, work, or something personal. Depending on the week, I select a few planners that will help me achieve my tasks! So not every planner is used every week.
Q: How do you get so much done in a day?
A: If you watch any of my journaling vlogs, you’ll realize that I have very poor sleeping habits and so naturally I’m able to fit more things into the day. It’s something I’m trying to fix but admittedly this is the only reason.
So many things to go yay about but I’ll mention only a few: I love your fearlessness in this journal and how you just use it when you want to; love the fact that you change the aesthetic and aren’t limited by one layout style; yes to satisfyingly looking through all the pages for memories, visuals, and functionality; absolutely yes and admirable to reference where you got inspiration and giving credit; yes to improving skin rather than covering it up (a general great metaphor for tackling the root of problems and not just masking them on the surface - a goal for 2023); and also (unfortunately) yes to Celebration cookies and homemade baking. 😅 I’d love to see a video about the behind-the-scenes of how you get your ideas, how you plan out what accessories to use, and if you draft any ideas before committing them to your journal. I have a question for all my fellow planners/journaling enthusiasts: how do you keep different journals and planners without feeling like you are repeating yourself. I just started my journey and I feel a little overwhelmed.

I try to make sure that there's no overlap between my different planners and journals, and not to have time many dated planners. I have a work planner (Hobonichi Cousin) and a non-work planner (right now a Weeks, but I'm thinking of switching to the A6 Hobonichi HON in January), and then lots of separate undated notebooks that I use for tracking various things (a daily journal, a TV tracker, etc.). That way I can use lots of different notebooks and have fun with different kinds of setups, but I don't have to copy out the same info in different books and it doesn't feel overwhelming because I only have two dated planners that serve different purposes. I hope that makes sense and is of some help!
I have them separated for different parts of life. Ex. I have a work planner and a home planner. I don't put work to-dos in my home planner or vise-versa. I only repeat something in both of them if it effects planning in both - like taking time off work or meetings that I'll have to plan around for home stuff. I have another one for my kids school stuff because while I have to keep up with it to make sure he's doing it - I'm not the one actually doing it so I don't need his lessons cluttering up my to-dos. I have yet another for planning out my own business stuff - release dates and stuff. That one is more notes, sketches, post schedules. I love the hobo because I do use it nearly daily but I really enjoyed using a bullet journal for a long time because there wasn't any pressure to fill it out daily. if i skipped it there weren't skipped pages because I wouldn't plan spreads that far out and a day could take as many pages as i wanted it to.

hi helen! I don't know if you'll see this question but I noticed in some of your monthly spreads (or spreads with a tracker i.e. your 2022 monthly kit tracker) your lines are very faint and subtle. did you use a pencil for these or was it a different colored pen or marker? I really love the look of it because the writing really pops and doesn't get lost as it sometimes does when all the lines are black ink. I hope this question makes sense. thanks for sharing your pocket bujo, I actually just purchased one yesterday!!! (heavily influenced by you, hehe) I'm super excited to add it to my planner lineup for 2023.
