As someone who's been part of the community since the start, it has come a long way since it began. It's had it's ups and downs but it was overall a fun little thing we all had in common and I genuinely loved to see what these people made. Some were even book/movie worthy with it's creativity. It's sad to see the toxic side and I honestly stopped because of how toxic it was becoming. Lost and gained friends in this community, but the sad reality is that no community is pure or untainted. There's a bad side to every community and that fact is hard for some to grasp
I agree with these and *especially* the last one. People can choose whether they want to stay or leave in a community, guys! You don't have to worry about it anyway, because new members are coming and some OGs (like Beowulf/SenpaiWolfie) still stick around even when they're grown up. Someone leaving because of loss of interest shouldn't be such a big deal.
We all have to accept, we aren't going to stay as the kids back then in gacha. All of us are maturing and some are finding things they prefer over gacha.we are getting older and we have to accept that.

I remember seeing someone make a video, they said “this video is based on another video and the creator didn’t want it to become a trend. I’m not turning it into a trend, I changed it because I don’t want it to become a trend.” And now it’s a trend because people don’t know how to follow basic requests and not turn things into trends. I’m not saying the above person did anything wrong, I’m just saying other people are bad at listening to instructions.
Mhm, I saw it with that one police trend that went around for a while, where the kid's mom (a police officer) thinks her kid's friend is being kidnapped or smth by a creepy old man and then shoots him, which then reveals that it was the kid's uncle or something. The OG creator specifically said that they didn't want it to become a trend because they knew that police officers shouldn't act like that, and it was just an idea they had, but then there were people in the comments going: "Time to go to my alt account/tiktok" as if the creator didn't just say not to??? It's so frustrating to see. :/

SA and abuse is not and should not be a trend. However, there is nothing wrong with portraying it in your ocs, venting about your own experiences, or putting it in a fandom video. I made a video that abuse, neglect, vents, and stuff like that is not a trend because it's actually thing that people goes through in real life that could effect people who goes through that stuff but yet, ONE person said I was being rude for having a say about it and said it was an "awareness", how is showing abuse over and over again like it's trend an awareness when it's an actually real thing that people struggle with!! When i start being part of this community, i was 10 back around 2017. By then, i was not even on the oldest age of this community, i love it truly and yes i was there when gacha was labelled cringe and overhated. But now, I'll finish school next year and maybe go to college, and so i hope this community can grow with more and more new ppl, more skills and more creative than ever, and i hope with all that it can help u like how this community help me find which course i am into, how it help my social skill on another language and how it help others be who u want

Man, I can't believe its been seven years since I found the gacha community. I kinda fell out of it back in 2022 but I still come back sometimes to see how its doing. We're all growing up now, but their were so many good memories.
As someone whos been in the gacha community since 2018, I feel the only real and resonable response n why SA and abuse became trends in the first place was because we were kids and found it as an interesting story plot. which is wrong in the first place, so of course, as more kids join the community they follow what they find interesting. I love when I can watch someone grow up through a screen, its nice to see them finally realize what they want in life. So even though the community is messed up in every way possible like gacha heat, and any intoxicating trends, it can be pretty awesome. thats coming from someone who's been following certain people for years to see them improve, and see their art and editing style change a lot, its coming from someone who still watches reaction videos and short stories whenever i need something to un-quiet my surroundings. The community can be extremely awesome or extremely dangerous.

As someone who’s channel is practically run off of vents and/or videos that express my feelings or represent my irl experiences (I’d say about 1/2 of my vids are like this), the 3rd one is very true. People often misconstrue my vents as just videos or trends, or I get called a faker/attention seeker. It’s good to know that atleast someone understands. Also, it’s very true that the community isn’t dying. People are just overreacting- we lose a few big creators and suddenly people think the world is ending. Some of us are going stronger than ever rn!

There’s actually something I think should be brought to light. When I was younger around 12 I was exposed to sexual content within the gacha community, and I don’t mean some gacha heat video I mean actual nsfw video. It’s one of the main reasons I left the community and I don’t think I can ever look at it the same because of it. I don’t know how many other people experienced something like this, but it happened to me and it makes me worried how many other children in the gacha community were exposed to a traumatising video just like I was
