It's satisfying to find products that actually perform to and beyond their ratings. There seems to be so much false advertising out there. Well done G- Shock!
Casio watches are notoriously good in water resistance, even the 10 dollar Casio F91W is able to survive scuba diving trips with advertised 30 meter water resistance.

Impressive watches! Had one of those with 10 year battery and it did hold out for at least 8 years which is impressive as I used the backlight quite a lot. I took it apart but didn't get the gasket on as it was supposed to go on so it wasn't water proof any more. Showered and had it under water, could see water droplets inside but still worked even with the water inside it. But it got condensation on the inside of the glass easily so a bought a new watch of the same watch again 👍
This is why I wear a Casio G-shock digital watch in my job as bushcraft, outdoor, survival instructor.
