  • Nigel is a self-employed ancient woodland specialist. He's been working in the environmental field for more than 30 years, including spells with the RSPB and the Woodland Trust. He worked for 4 years with the Woodland Trust as an Ancient Woodland Restoration officer in North Wales and has spent time in hundreds of ancient woodlands throughout the area. Nigel continues to do work for the Woodland Trust and Snowdonia National Park. He has been working for several years with NWWT's Jonny Hulson in Big Covert near Maeshafn, working with several woodland owners to help them to begin to restore their ancient woodlands. One owner has already begun thinning trees and replanting with native broadleaves, and another three are hoping to start work this winter.
