Absolute stonker of a choon back in the late 90's!!!! Many a messy night spent bouncing to this at the likes of Helter Skelter, Hardcore Heaven, United Dance and Dreamscape.... Shout to all the old London Labyrinth crew, you know who u are. Coming from MC Check Wembley crew :)
This song has always stuck with me ever since hearing it as a young raver, I`m 42 now and I still play it often, the goosebumps tho :) I always knew I had some kind of connection with this song, and I found out recently that the original is from `Jeff Wayne`s Musical Version of War of the Worlds` from 1978, a cassette tape I listened to repeatedly as a young child, during school holidays at my Nanna`s house, it was a guy singing tho so I never made the connection... This version is far more beautiful 🥰
Proper title for this track is: "DJ Kaos - Autumn Again" (Go Mental Gold Series #10 / GMRG010-A) The "original" that everyone is going on about is: "Supreme & UFO - Forever Autumn", which was also released on Go Mental Records (GMR011-A).
This is the mix i remember, Billy Bunter began one of his sets with this once and the entire set was one of the best i ever heard back then, it was awesome, as is this mix, whats not to like about it? I admit i have not heard other mixes, so i cannot compare, but this still sounds as amazing now as it did in the 90s while i was off my tits on pills n whizz =)
Continued - Dalston Lane the original home of Labrinth because of what people have said and what ive seen on y.t but was too young. Would of loved 2 of been raving in the first half of the 90's rather than 97-2000 which i did. Also this is the worse because i always wanted to and deffo should of but never went 2 was the big 1 that was the Sanctuary in Milton Keen with the best (from what i gather) Helter Skelter and Hardcore Heaven - gutted!! Was gona try get tickets for the "I Love Happy Hardcore 92-98", in Vauxhall London new years eve they look banging but avent been "proper" raving for like 15 years lol!!!
LISTEN TO THE SOUNDS OF VIBES AND THE LIVLEE ... + i thought this was the vibes and dougal mix of kaos's autumn again (dont like that version) not sure ... but big it up TOP CHOON!!!
@MCcheck97 Yeah was always at Bagleys with Slammin Vinyl, United Dance etc and not so good Best of British which had oldskool arena instead of happy core (lots of antitude in d&b/garage arena surprisingly. My pal got jumped by 2 massive black guys who looked like bouncers but wer'nt, just because he said watch it my birds pregnant wen 1 of them knocked into her, they both knocked him 2 da floor then clamly took of there jackets and walked into the crowd. There was alot of oneNation regs which is y i never went 2 1!!) Anyway i went 2 the Pleasure rooms alot Labrinth was my first rave as we got free tickets as my mate knew 1 of the MCs and was easy 2 get in cos we was all like 16/17 but hardcore was goin through its roughest period was about 97ish and was weekly and sometimes half empty especialy in the hardcore room so was in the middle d&b room alot. But went 2 Raindance and couple of other nights and the place would be full and 10×better! My biggest regret is missing out on Dalston L
