hey! i just now am watching this video since i’m starting to get hyped for the event- very helpful video, thank y’all!! last year (hhn 32) my group and i were able to use just a stay and scream and go through all 10 houses, and even go through darkest deal twice. we had id say 30-45 minutes of just eating food, and also rode 2-3 rides throughout the night! we did miss the dr oddfellow scare zone, but overall felt like we weren’t rushing too much and had a great experience! i will say this was a sunday night (i think the first sunday of october) so that probably gave us WAY better odds
Great tips. We are looking forward to our first HHN. Even if we were able to do HHN in 1 night, I wouldn't want to limit our fun by 1 night and done. I know we are going to love whatever we get to do. Private tour is WAY out of our budget. Your videos are always amazing! I love your channel always.

Hi Pugh2, another great vid, very much enjoyed from across the pond during these uncertain times. We’re all booked up for HHN 30 but it’s all in the hands of governments… saying that we did cast our minds back to the first HHN we went to in 2016. We quickly learnt about scream and stay, to say we did every house within 1 hour, we did loose a few pound between each one with the jogging/running however then put those pounds on by eating those pizza fries at the end. This was a time when lockers were free so we didn’t carry anything! Fingers crossed Things improve and we can come on over.
Hey Dan! You don't understand how much we are pulling for things to turn around so you all can make it over. The event really won't be the same if international travel isn't open 😫. Lol that is a hilarious and great story. Its also a great example of how important Stay and Scream is! Its hard to outrun those pizza fries haha. Trust us, we are pulling for you guys and we are so hopeful to see you in the fog!
This year will be our first trip to USO and HHN. Thank you so much for all the tips! You guys are our FAVORITE Universal channel. Congrats on making the move to Florida! I hope you guys have some great tips after opening weekend (we are going the very next week). And...someone needs to do an HHN food video that includes the Tribute Store treats. It was hard finding a good video on all the treats. We ending up sitting through some terrible videos, because it was the only ones we could find. 😄 We have been missing your videos, but know you guys are CRAZY busy. ❤️
Oh my gosh, thank you! We’re so glad you’ve been enjoying our videos, and we hope you all have a fantastic time on your trip! We’ll see what we can do for an HHN food video, too!
Eric! Lets go!! That is awesome! We hope you feel prepared and that you have an amazing trip! Thank you for all the support and for watching. Please have a butterbeer for us and when you get back we want to hear all about it!
You know, it's funny... Even tho I'm a huge scaredy cat who will probably never go to HHN, I still really enjoy watching your HHN coverage. It makes me feel like I'm still participating in some of the fun... from a safe distance 😂. Great videos, as always!!!
Lol Thanks Jenn! We will vlog a night at the event so you can hang out from a safe distance. We appreciate you watching even though you have no intent on going! That means a lot to us!
Tbh, I feel like with all this advice I'm getting, I'm gonna be able to tackle all of HHN in one night! Though I'm the only person in my group that actually likes horror to the degree I do, so everyone's basically going because they all wanna hang out and I picked the event! 😅 But I'm excited to take on the challenge of not buying an Express Pass and seeing if I can get everything I wanna do done in the one night we have!
You got this! We are actually excited to hear back from you to see if you are able to do it! Its going to be a fun event and we can wait to get down there! Thanks for watching!
2 nights planned. October 20th and 21st. The 20th is our 20th wedding anniversary. ❤ We couldn't be more excited. I'll absolutely come back and let you guys know how we did. 😁
That will be so much fun! Happy early anniversary! What a great place to spend it (if we can say so ourselves 😁) We are excited to hear back from you and see how you killed it!
When my friends come down from Chicago, we go 3 nights preferably 2nd and 3rd weeks of Sept. It makes it that you can really take time and enjoy the event. We utilize Stay and Scream.
@@ThePughTwo When you're doing it, like you both said, it can seriously suck, but the payoff is huge. Also, I feel anyone asking if they can do it in one night, hasn't been to the event, and that lack of knowledge can hinder you a bit too. We've met up with guests several years in line, that ask if they can join us, since we know the event, and we're happy to help.
Thats so nice of you to help people who havent been to the event. Its kinda awesome how close this community is and that we all just share a love for the event!
It is possible too do everything in one night just make sure you go on a Wednesday Thursday or Sunday. I’ve done everything in one night houses scare zones and shows for the past 3 Halloween horror night events I don’t even need express pass
Thanks for the input! It’s nice to hear those testimonials since we don’t have them ourselves. We’re curious, do you usually go in September or just whenever?
Yeah like I said I also did everything in one night but I did not had a chance to go see the lash live show but I went to all the houses seen all the scar zones
Yes! Scream early is just a ticket you can purchase that allows you to get into stay and scream IF you don't have admission to the parks. If you have daytime admission, you will not need a scream early pass, it is just a add on for those people coming to HHN only!
Only have one day at Universal, & doing HHN that same night - oh boy, worried we're going to be BEAT. I went ahead & got Express for the park & HHN, because whatev, one day, gotta make the most of it. Thanks so much for your videos & helpful advice/encouragement in your comments! ☺️
We went to Hollywood HHN on Halloween 2019, no express, we did most houses (I think we skipped 2), no shows. We did Stay & Scream, but not express. But it was crazy, would not recommend! Longest line we waited in was for Killer Klowns (because I love the movie from my childhood) for about 1.5 hrs 😨
The killer klowns house in Orlando was the BEST! You’re definitely going to be tired after that day, but it’ll be so worth it! We think getting express was probably smart, too. You’ll have to let us know if you make it the whole night or not! Lol
Hey guys! I've literally seen all of your videos on the last couple of days, you rock! I'm making my first solo trip to Orlando in September (been many many times so I know the drill) still it's my first time on HHN. Quick question, at what time do I need to arrive into stay & scream? I'm a big fan from Mexico :)
We recommend being there by 4:30 at the latest! This is what a team member told us the first time we did it, and it’s always worked! We’re so glad you’re enjoying our videos and we hope you have an awesome time at HHN!
We have Premier Passes and are from RI, we only come down for 2nites so we got a RIP tour for Sep 17! The one night free w/Premier passes makes the RIP tour price much easier to absorb.
Hey guys, love love your videos 😁 We are from England, we bought the single night ticket for HHN and now want to change to rush of fear pass, can we do it here or do we have to change them at the park?
I went last Tuesday got there 2 hrs early waited at gate to see opening ceremony was able to do all ten houses enjoy the food did all three roller coasters and all five scare zones got my money’s worth for normal admission and saved without spending money on express and rip tour
Thank you it's funny I just asked this question in a previous video BTW where would I get twisted tatter, The Pizza Fries, and the BBQ Lamb so I don't miss out in that food as well
The twisted tater stand is close to ET and so are the pizza fries, which are located at the Kids Zone Pizza Company near ET as well! The BBQ Lamb is at one of the food tents near Jimmy Fallons at the front of the park!
Just doing express pass for me and the wife this year is going to be over 400 for a few hours of entertainment. That's where I'm maxing out. RIP would be cool, but not worth it for me. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.
@@ThePughTwo I sure will. Lol we’re flying in from SoCal and I was telling my fiancé that Orlando HHN is better than Hollywood HHN. Last time we were there was in 2017 so I’m excited to be back.
I know this is an old video but uggggh you guys are killing us........now on top of doing all the rides at islands after 4pm we now have to do everything at HHN in 1 night lol
I’m glad I ponied up the $$ for an express pass since I am only going one night… I definitely plan on keeping an eye on the app for wait times prior to heading down! And I think you low-balled the Twisted Tater capacity…
😂😂 that made me laugh so hard, I think Tyler has just decided that's his chance to get a reaction out of me lol. It worked this time! We agree that express pass is probably the way to go if you just have one night. It's gonna be awesome Mike!
I think RIP tours are great for people who can afford them. I, personally, cannot afford one, but I've always wanted to. I go to hhn in Hollywood, so RIP tours are a bit different here. I would love to go to Orlando at some point, but right now it's a no go for me. Keep in mind, Universal Hollywood is much smaller than Orlando. With this being said, if you are going to Orlando, the express pass is probably more useful to you. (You should most definitely still get the express pass for Hollywood too. Especially if you're going on a weekend)
Can you make a video about your thoughts on how this hhn event might differ from the past with covid restrictions? Is it in your personally option and most restrictions won’t be put into place? Love your videos
Thanks Ruby! We may touch on that as the event gets closer! As of right now, we aren't sure of how things will pan out! It appears that the worst case scenario could be that we are back in mask while in doors. We will keep an eye on it and touch on it at a later date!
I’m only going for one night with a regular admission ticket but as long as I get to do the HHN Icons, Scarey, and Puppet Theatre houses I’ll be happy.
You can do it all in one night, I've gone 23 years and have been able to see everything in one night. However I switched to express pass about 8 years ago. The main reason so I can hit some houses stop get something to eat and relax and get pics. Also it's harder to see it all without express if you hit any hiccups, or if you have a person who hits the restroom every hour or so...lol
Haha Tyler can relate to that, I’m terrible about having to take potty breaks 😂 we definitely think express or RIP is the way to go if you only have one night. It just makes things so much easier! It sounds like you’ve got it down to a science after all those years!
Huh i did not know that the express pass is one time per house good to know. Also after only getting to see 4 houses back in 2019 i got an express pass this year because pretty much all of the houses i want to see
Non private RIP tour is about 320 a person, depends on the day ticket price. Private RIP tour is about 405 a person depending again on the day ticket price
@@ThePughTwo I'm doing it for the first time. I've always just done the the event ticket and the after 10 express pass. I will let you know what the experience is like and if it's worth the money 😊
Thank you for your channel..Your info is right..Your feet will hurt..I went to universal studios last may..The express pass helps out alot..I felt rude ..Jumping lines when I use my express pass..
I found my Bruce socks. I got a pair of beetlejuice bike shorts. I am the ready for HHN. (shirt included obviously just gotta pick it hahaha) (I think I might convince hubs to do express opening night ;) )
Hey Shannon you are a good one to ask. Can you see our original response to this comment? Some of our responses to other comments seem to be disappearing!
I'll be at Universal labor day weekend. Since it'll be the beginning of HHN, do you think it would be ok to buy those tickets once I get there or should they be purchased in advance? Not sure if the kiddos and I will be up to it and wanted to wait till the day.
You can always wait to purchase but you do run 2 risk. The first risk is that they could sell out, especially on opening weekend. The second risk or issue is that the tickets are more expensive if you wait to purchase them at the parks! Hope this helps!
I have 5 people going next year to hhn, 3 people have never been to florida at all and all of us have never been to hhn. I have to say I am a wimp and dont know what to expect. We are staying on site and looking into express passes as well. We are going on oct 31 all day. Also have a 5 day park to park. I have sore feet just thing about it lol
Haha sore feet is right! There’s all kinds of house walk-throughs and scare zone footage on RUclips so you can get a better idea of what to expect. Anna was terrified her first time, but she LOVES the event now!
If you just have one night, express passes will definitely make your night less stressful! We won’t tell you that you should or shouldn’t, it just depends what you want to get out of the event.
Do you recommend 1 night with express pass or 2 days with no express pass? I extended my trip since my flight changed, but not sure if I want to add another night or visit another theme park
We can’t go this year but as of January 2022 we will be annual pass holders so we are strongly considering going next year! Do they often do the same houses multiple years in a row? I would definitely want to experience the Beetlejuice house.
@@ThePughTwo Well we are debating either returning in October for HHN and Halloween decorations, or in November for my birthday and Christmas decorations 😂 The lineup of houses may play a part in that decision!
Also I’ve been to been San Antonio howl o scream events Seaworld San Antonio been lsea world howl o scream years and I went to Texas here They’ve been doing this every year they always have Seaworld Howl o scream in San Antonio
😂😂 it’s a deep fried potato on a stick. It’s called twisted because they cut it sort of like curly fries.. but it’s the whole potato if that makes sense lol
This will be our first time at universal and we will be staying at Sapphire Falls. We will be doing this HHN event probably Wed 9/15. Is it possible to go back to the room at some point, take a power nap and come back to the event the same night? Otherwise, not sure if this mama can manage!
Just so I make sure I understand the “stay and scream” option… I have a premiere pass that grants me 1 free regular ticket so I can technically enter the studios park before they close at 5pm and I won’t be kicked out to go get back in line for HHN and there’s no separate cost for this?
Yes! You just have to have access into the parks that day, like an annual pass or single day ticket. We would suggest being in the stay and scream area, not just the park, at 4:30 at the latest!
Only way to hit all 10 houses is to go right when it opens and literally jolt to the popular houses, and then the less-wait time houses, snacks come at the end of the night OR you can get fast passes and not have to deal with 90 min wait times lol
Yeah it really takes a lot of planning and just time in the parks to hit all the houses without express! We have heard many people saying they have done it but they have been there all night to achieve it!
We think it is certainly more enjoyable with more nights, but some people can only come for 1 day, and we just wanted to talk about what could be done! We agree though.. more nights are better!
It will depend on a lot of factors. If you have express pass then we would say yes. If not, you are going to have to push yourself and stay from the time the event opens til it closes and you might be able to get them all done! We would love to hear an update after you go!
Those twisted taters would definitely not be edible at that point! Maybe we should bring a shoe that has never been worn for science lol! Thanks for watching!
I’ve never been and I want to go so bad! None of my friends enjoy being scared, (idk what the heck is wrong with them lol), so my only option looks like going alone! I haven’t figured out if I’m brave enough or not to do that 🤣 I’m more terrified of being stolen by an Uber driver than the actual event itself.
Hey Faith! We hope you get to go soon! Whats funny is Anna HATED haunted houses before she went to HHN, and ever since that first night, shes been hooked! It is truly an amazing event and you should definitely try to make it out sometime!
@@ThePughTwo 2 nights for the price of 1... you can buy those tickets most ofen available after the 1 time event... i remembered buying them in may 2019... the offer ended somewhere in june.
Being surgically attached to a white knuckled soulmate, I can't give enough thanks for the daytime tour that we have planned prior to the RIP tour. Taking the unknown out of the equation during daylight hours may be enough to allow a visit with the lights out. Any thoughts on those behind the scenes tours? Love your productions!
We think they are a blast! Also anything that can alleviate any type of anxiety leading up the event has got to be a good thing. We've talked about it in earlier videos, but Anna was deathly afraid of haunted houses and plain and simply did NOT like them. I took her to her first HHN and she has been in love with them ever since! We hope you have an amazing trip. Let us know what you think about the RIP tour!
@@madbart214yomother7 We would suggest looking at the frequent fear pass! You can upgrade your ticket and it wouldnt be that much more and would get you in on Wednesday and Thursday!
@@ThePughTwo Absolutely will look into this. I'd rather have more time and be tired than not enough time. Just living the lifetime dream here lol. Thank you for the prompt response.
Well I happened did everything in one day I bought a ticket for last Wednesday the 10/27. I had no fast pass on the annual passholder I did the stay an scream I started at back then made my way to the front. Yes it is possible to do all of the houses all the shows experience everything in one night without no pass pass no RAP you just have to get to the place is fast enough
We are interested to see the results. We are going to try it ourselves and we have some local friends who will not have express all year and are going to try it a few times throughout the event!
If it were us? We would do two nights without. That will give you more time to enjoy the scarezones, the general ambience, and partake in the shows. You could then relax a little bit but making it a goal to just do 5 houses each night.
@@ThePughTwo Thank you thats what I was gearing towards as well. My fiancé thought one night would be enough. I said ONE NIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH. I laughed she laughed the lamp laughed we threw out the lamp.... bad joke. Love the content :-).
@@jgaldos123 Lol that lamp might be worth some money! We tend to agree though, no matter how many times we go, we just wanna go back for more! We appreciate the support!
hey y’all, I am doing to planning now to embark on my very first hhn adventure. I will only have access to 1 night, and with the package I have I know it comes with express pass for hhn. I just wanted to clarify something with you to knowledgable individuals. When you say you can use the express pass only once per house, does that mean that I can do every single house at hhn orlando and use express pass on every single one, as long as I only go through once? or does that mean that there are certain areas at the park that have multiple houses, and I have to choose which house I go through based on which part of the park I’m at? Never been to universal since I have become an adult so I don’t know all the technicalities. thank you guys so much!!! loved this video!!
You can express each of the 10 haunted houses once each night! You don't have to pick which houses to use it on, but once you scan your express pass for a specific house, you won't be able to express that house again on the same night. We hope this clarifies it for you!
@ThePughTwo I went last year express pass, and it was included. This year, I got the R.I.P. tour for the first day. I'm hoping the girl was correct because it was 379 for the first day in 2023. I will come back to this post and let yall know. I do not think it's fair paying premium prices if we have to get an extra ticket. I know knotts scary farm does that
How many nights is the perfect amount of time for a Halloween Horror Nights vacation?

The killer klowns house in Orlando was the BEST! You’re definitely going to be tired after that day, but it’ll be so worth it! We think getting express was probably smart, too. You’ll have to let us know if you make it the whole night or not! Lol
That sounds like a long day but it will be a blast and totally worth it! Thank you for your support! We love helping!
@@anthonyortega9540 you must have a ticket for universal studios or you can purchase a scream early ticket.
This is what ive been waiting for but now i need one for Universal Studios Hollywood
we've never been to the Hollywood event, but we would assume most of the principles still apply!
I’m going for the skip passes. I really regretted it last time lol.
Express pass is a great option and really makes the trip more enjoyable!
We have Premier Passes and are from RI, we only come down for 2nites so we got a RIP tour for Sep 17! The one night free w/Premier passes makes the RIP tour price much easier to absorb.
That is a very good point! You are taking full advantage of your passes and that is so smart! Hope you have an amazing time!
Have you two ever done the behind the scream tour?
We haven't but it sounds awesome! Maybe this year??
Hey guys, love love your videos 😁
We are from England, we bought the single night ticket for HHN and now want to change to rush of fear pass, can we do it here or do we have to change them at the park?
Just call and they will take care of you!
I went last Tuesday got there 2 hrs early waited at gate to see opening ceremony was able to do all ten houses enjoy the food did all three roller coasters and all five scare zones got my money’s worth for normal admission and saved without spending money on express and rip tour
Tuesday the 26th?
It’s crazy how expensive things have gotten!
I am so excited. I will be there opening night ☺️
As will we! We can't wait! We hope you have an awesome trip!
@@ThePughTwo I sure will. Lol we’re flying in from SoCal and I was telling my fiancé that Orlando HHN is better than Hollywood HHN. Last time we were there was in 2017 so I’m excited to be back.
@@LaurenAmezcua Thats exciting! We had plans to come out there this year, but with everything we pushed it off til 2022
I know this is an old video but uggggh you guys are killing us........now on top of doing all the rides at islands after 4pm we now have to do everything at HHN in 1 night lol
😂🤣 we’re just full of challenges for you! You’ll have to update us on how they go, we’re invested now! Lol
I’m glad I ponied up the $$ for an express pass since I am only going one night…
I definitely plan on keeping an eye on the app for wait times prior to heading down!

@@mikedittenber5271 Oh man, that sounds so tasty! (Hey guys, one of your comments has been removed from this comment thread (as far as I can tell :O )
@@shannonelledge1313 Yeah we think RUclips is having an issue, we have responded to multiple things and they are all gone!
You will definitely be able to hit 3 houses in one night!
Hi, is it possible if y'all make a video about explaining the flex pay version of the annual pass please
We can add it to the list! If you have any questions, maybe we can help in the mean time!
@@ThePughTwo ok, thank you so much
You can do it all in one night, I've gone 23 years and have been able to see everything in one night.
Also after only getting to see 4 houses back in 2019 i got an express pass this year because pretty much all of the houses i want to see
Yeah getting express allows you a little bit more room for error! We have never had trouble doing all the houses uses express pass!
Non private RIP tour is about 320 a person, depends on the day ticket price.
Private RIP tour is about 405 a person depending again on the day ticket price
Thats a lot less than we thought it would be!
@@ThePughTwo I'm doing it for the first time. I've always just done the the event ticket and the after 10 express pass.

It does! Thank you!!!
Are you guys doing the RIP tour?
If we can make it work, we would love to do one!

You can do 1 night with Express pass, but you have to do a Wednesday or Thursday
It definitely helps to go on one of the less busy nights!
Would I be able to get butterbeer during HHN?
At the last event you could because Diagon Alley is open! So we would say yes!
I have a question about stay and scream, do they let you into the house before 6pm or at 6pm?
It depends each night, it’s not exactly at a specific time. Just whenever they get the houses ready and everyone in place!
Would you suggest express pass this year . Is it worth ?
We want to do shows also
If you just have one night, express passes will definitely make your night less stressful! We won’t tell you that you should or shouldn’t, it just depends what you want to get out of the event.
Do you recommend 1 night with express pass or 2 days with no express pass? I extended my trip since my flight changed, but not sure if I want to add another night or visit another theme park
Thats a tough question. Personally if it were us, we would want more nights so we would go with 2 days and no express. Hope this helps!
@@ThePughTwo honestly thats cheaper than 1 night with express lol
@@kimberlyvillatoro8863 You can get a couple butterbeers with the money you saved haha

Express definitely makes it possible!
We can’t go this year but as of January 2022 we will be annual pass holders so we are strongly considering going next year! Do they often do the same houses multiple years in a row? I would definitely want to experience the Beetlejuice house.
They have not used the same house in back to back years yet (to our knowledge) so unfortunately it probably won't be back next year :(

Do the buses 🚌 run to the hotels the whole time HHN is going or do they stop when the normal park day ends?
They run for an hour or so after the event ends!
Might be going Sunday October 31st. Do you guys think it will be busy? Thanks for your time :)
Halloween is weird. We've seen it busy, and we've seen it empty! Its hard to say really!
We have heard many people saying they have done it but they have been there all night to achieve it!

hey y’all, I am doing to planning now to embark on my very first hhn adventure.
