Hopefully you guys enjoy this video, I know it's different than my previous videos, but naturally I had to branch out. Let me know how you feel about the editing, whether it's music, the captions, memes, etc. I want to make high effort enjoyable videos, but also still be able to enjoy the process and make lots of videos :)
if i remember correctly, I think the awareness stats in woc says that they affect takeways and pretty much if/what animation you get when you pick up/off a puck.
So, awareness doesn’t affect positioning that much. The AI has terrible hockey IQ regardless. The main thing defensive awareness does is make the player most capable of intercepting passes and react quickly to loose pucks. On offense, it helps with one-timer timing, deflections, and proper shot aim. The Florida AI has better default strategies for gameplay than Edmonton does. If you ran both teams with default rosters, Florida will often still carry the play because of their more aggressive default strategy. They’re one of the annoying AI teams.
Florida never sims well for me when i play franchise mode lol. I do think Off awareness and def awareness matters differently depending on if you sim or if you play your games.
@@TheHockeyRyidk if its just me, but ive seen low def awareness players just, being out of positon in the d zone. Specifically wingers. Granted it could just be the ai being jank.
i had a similar idea once not sure if it was worth it or how to execute it. but super good at hockey but zero IQ vs super bad at hockey with the highest game IQ
i wouldnt say awwareness is confusing. Its probably the most important stat because it determines someones, well awareness. a PLY gets the puck on a powerplay on the RW, with 58 awareness he might just dish it off immediately, maybe get intercepted. with 85 he might skate a bit, create some space and make a solid pass, maybe do a decent deke, maybe a toe drag or something. at 99 offensive awareness, he can get the puck, skate around, do shit like a jump deke to pass the puck. someone with low awareness will also be out of position a lot
I’ve only done 2 GM modes in NHL 24 but Florida did not sim good at all in them. Vegas is another one. Having too many TWFs seems like a big no no for the sim.

Oh thats really interesting, thanks for the comment

It matters in the sim for sure, but outside of it, I don't know. It doesn't look like it does.
@@TheHockeyRy to me it's clear that it does when you play games. high def awareness helps to intercept passes for example.

@@darcys842 I think its just the AI being jank. From what I've seen, it just effects puck pickups
@@RedhawksReportGaming Yeah I've heard this, makes sense when you look at AI vsing each other.
editing is fire cant believe you only have 40 subs
@scoops_97 thanks man 😄
I'd want to know if low defensive awareness makes the player score more points at 99 offensive awareness
Im pretty sure it would, as awareness effects the sim a lot

I believe Manoftheritt did this video

The problem is this is how it should work in theory, but it doesn't.

@@crazybut6641 harder to get line chemistry with just twf's
In WOC it makes a huge difference
Ah I wouldn't know, I haven't played it much
The chapter names lmaooo
I'm a bit of a comedy if I do say so myself
Seeing mcdavid at 69 overall feels wrong
Yeah lol, not Darnell Nurss though, that looks normal
Why is Stuart Skinner an 88 overall??
Whoever made the rosters was smokin the zaza
@@TheHockeyRy lol
Great video by the way
@@TheVancouverCanucksareGood Thanks a lot :D
I’d like the video but it’s at 69 right now 🤷🏼♂️
