The guy in spa uniform Adam, Rocky, and Kat ( were in zeo) replaced Jason, Zack, and Kimberly. Then iesha ( the woman in the spa uniform) took over for trini
The reason why Minh couldn't morph at first was because she wanted to use the power for revenge, which Zordon was strictly against. Only by being selfless (protecting Billy) does Minh finally morph.
If you followed the full series of Mighty Morphin, you will know Rocky and Katherine. They were the second set of Mighty Morphin Rangers. Jason passed his power to Rocky and Kimberly passed hers to Katherine in the Mighty Morphin series
Well... this is in continuity with the show. I don't see why they wouldn't keep it canon. Zordon's death was a major story/plotpoint of the franchise as a whole.
The reason they had those three get captured was because their actors didn't join the project, so they had Kathrine Sutherland (Kat) and Steve Cardenas (Rocky) come in instead. Bother were part of the MMPR team, though not in the first season. Rocky joined at the same time as Aisha (Karan Ashley) and Adam (Johnny Young Bosch) almost halfway through season 2 when the Trini, Jason and Zack's actors (Thuy Trang, Austin St John and Walter Jones) were fired for going on strike for better pay. Rocky became the red ranger, Adam the new black ranger and Aisha the next Yellow ranger. Kat joined the show in season 3 when Amy Jo Johnson asked for her character Kimberly to be written out so she could move on with her career. When season 3 ended, the remaining cast, minus Karan Ashley continued into the next season, Zeo. Aisha was replaced with Tanya (Nakia Burrise) as the yellow ranger. Tommy (Jason David Frank) became the Red Ranger, Rocky the blue ranger, Adam the green ranger, Tanya the yellow and Kat remained the pink ranger. Billy (David Yost) did not get any powers since they started the show with only 5 sets of ranger powers so he basically just worked with Alpha until David Yost quit because he was being discriminated against for being gay. Jason did return when a 6th ranger joined the team but he lost his powers at the end of the season and once again stepped away from the franchise. Going into the follow up, Turbo started with a movie. At this point Rocky left the team for an injury and was replaced with a kid as the next blue ranger. Somewhere in the middle of the Turbo season most of the cast had decided that they wanted to move on, and so the Red, Green, Yellow and Pink rangers were again recast with only the blue ranger remaining who started the season. From there Turbo wrapped up with the rangers getting outright defeated, and the 4 adult rangers moving onto the next season, Power Rangers In Space. After Power Rangers In Space, every season would see a new cast which meant almost every season would see a crossover with the previous season which were almost always highlights of each season. The biggest crossovers are typically the anniversaries. Power Rangers Wildforce was the lucky season getting 2 crossovers. The first one was with the previous season as usual, but they also got the 10th anniversary special where they brought back nearly every red ranger to team up and destroy evil forces trying to revive Serpentera, Lord Zed's old zord from season 2. This meant Jason (Austin St John) would return as the original red ranger, and Tommy (Jason David Frank) would also come back as the red Zeo ranger along with every other red ranger after Zeo. It seems that Rocky's actor (Steve Cardenas) was unavailable to come back otherwise they probably would've made it work. After Wildforce crossovers were not a guarantee anymore, but you can usually count on something happening every 5 years. The really big event took place in Operation Overdrive where they brought back 5 rangers from different seasons to form a new temporary team, and the leader of this team was Adam (Johnny Young Bosch) as the Black mighty morphin ranger. This would also be the longest crossover and anniversary special until Once and Always having 2 parts, which would not happen in the next big events. The next really big special wouldn't be until Power Rangers Super Mega Force where all teams joined together for the season finale, though this didn't mean all of the actors came back. The most notable return that comes to everyone's mind first is Jason David Frank returning again in his Green Ranger form. After this one, we got another special for the 25th anniversary where they again brought back an assortment of different rangers once again including JDF. This time though, Tommy had a special morpher called the master morpher that would allow him access to all of the sets of powers he has held since he has been so many rangers. To wrap up, because this has gone on longer than I intended I'll just mention that several years ago they brought back Austin St John's character again for the all Dino Power Rangers team up. Sorry to ramble so much, I just wanted to give a little bit of information since it seemed you guys don't remember a few things like the characters leaving the show and stuff like that and then I just filled in some more baseline information about the characters until they left the show. That's why the only names I mentioned were of characters and actors from the early seasons since that seems to be the era you both know most from. Then I just couldn't help but give a little bit more of a brief over view of the franchise. MMPR was probably the most campy and sometimes cringe but there are some seasons that are actually pretty watchable. One I'd recommend is actually Dino Thunder, where Tommy actually came back to mentor a team. Some standard kind of tropes and stuff but not quite as cringy as MMPR can be.
Rocky was in the Turbo movie only to pass his powers down to Justin. But he wasn't in the Turbo series. In case you forgot he was the Red ranger in Mighty Morphin taking over for Jason and continuing on as the Blue Ranger in Zeo.
i don't see why Rocky needed a new t rex power coin, he already used the tyrannosaurus power, They just needed to make a new coin Pteradactyl coin for Kat, and new Ninja coins for Jason, Zack, Trini?
They just used some old ADR voice clips from old episodes for Jason, Kim, Trini and Tommy. Not sure who the physical actress for Robo-Rita is, but she is voiced by Barbara Goodson.
When I first saw Robo Rita in this yesterday, my first thought was literally "She really went overboard with the Snapchat filters". 😂😂 But this was really well done. Cheesy dialogue, great action, so much nostalgia and a simultaneously heartwarming and heartbreaking tribute to Thuy and JDF at the end. I do wish we had actually seen Bulk and Skull instead of just their pictures on a sign. Also, I love the commentary from Kat on the Putties sounding like angry turkeys. 😆😅😂 I had the honor of meeting JDF at a convention here in Phoenix. He was a stand-up dude. I gave him some artwork that I drew and he's autographed my Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic book free. Tommy was my favorite Ranger growing up, even when he was brainwashed by Rita. Out of the six MMPR season 1/early season two zords, my number one favorite has always been the Dragonzord. I did not want to believe that he died when it was announced on social media. I looked it up, and I was devastated. May the power protect you on the other side, Jason David Frank.
Power rangers was always unnecessarily cool the epic music the explosions in the background, the characters yelling AH WUH!!! HE YAH!!!!!! I love power rangers this movie brought back the magic
I don't think it was messed up they also killed trini in the show. Billy was in real life great friends on set with her, even spoke at her funeral. For years he spent working on a script to do a power rangers reunion and wanted to involve her character. So it was his idea to pass down the yellow ranger powers to trini's daughter. I think this was an awesome tribute for her and her character
They started changing the cast every year since that's what the Super Sentai series it's based on did. ....Speaking of which y'all should do a reaction for Super Sentai and Kamen Rider openings lol 👀
Fun fact: because mighty morphin wanted to do multiple seasons they had to ask the production company of Sentai to film extra scenes for them. However the suits were different. They weren't as shiny and the Green Ranger chest shield looked cheap. But eventually they had to change it up and adapt the other seasons.
@@markcruz359 Not exactly what happened: Saban filmed a few action scenes in house, and _those_ were the ones with the cheaper costumes. The commissioned footage from Japan was done because they had the better suits and effects artists.
@@Matt-cn2nn Ok i just thought that the old Zyuranger footage was still from the Zyuranger season. My bad for mistaking the cheap looking suits were shot by the Japan crew but in the US

The fact that they kept Zordon's death canon was interesting.
