I grew up in Tonga and now reside in Canada but this song makes me miss the island so much.
Please get a producer who loves your voice as much as we do. Record a dozen Island classics like Efiafi. We'll buy them. As for this performance it was beautifully sung. One last thought. You and the other gifted Island performers should write an opera about the history of your people told through the songs of two young people in love.
I'm Samoan and don't really listen to Tongan music but i was reading the subtitles and the listening to ukulele play, very peaceful and calming music, very beautiful.

Your young voice was full of magic with such control and beautiful lyrical to listen too! I can’t wait to hear more from you as your career begins in the opera world!

Im tongan myself you have an Immaculate vocal performance I'm a hard critic when it comes to vocal performance I would definitely say your vocal cords sound like a mix of Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo together very unique and impressive well done.

Is there someone out there who can provide some background to this song? I know it's basically about unrequited love, but is it from some Tongan legend or myth? Who composed it and under what circumstances? It's so beautiful, and though I don't understand the lyrics word for word, there's a wonderful poesy to it as well. They say Italian is the best language for song, especially opera, but Tongan sounds beautiful too.
