The Nguni peopleof South Africa are the Zulus,Xhosas,Ndebeles and Swati- we all speak similar languages but interestinglythey're also different.IsiXhosa is intensively clicky that even I as a Zulu person struggle to pronounce the word let alone speak the language.IsiZulu is moderate while isiSwati is very soft on the clicks it almost sounds like a Zulu baby learning to speak isiZulu 🤣.IsiNdebele is sructured differentlyand it'shard to speak even though one would understand some of the words to then figure out what is being said.Kerp learning fam 👌🏾🇿🇦.
isiZulu is not moderate remember that majority of Zulu speakers today do not speak deep isiZulu and isiZulu is also a diverse language, there are many words with similar meanings and some words are more common than others

@@ianbeddowes5362 That's probably because those people were originally Zulu and not Ndebele in the SAn context- so what they speak is a variation of isiZulu.
Those were just the foundational clicks.😂 We also have deeper ones, which are a combination of letters, like, GC, GX, NX, NC (also including HL even though it’s not a click but close). These are a bit harder to master.
For xhosa those are the easy one it goes harder the more you learn. Qi is easy than Nkq, Ci is easy than Gca. So in order for u to graduate to Nkqa, Ngca, Kre, Ngxu you will need to first pass the Ci, Ka, Xa, Rh. Even in primary school grade 1 they start with the ones you currently learning then the teacher graduates the kids to much harder clicks. There are two major language groups in South Africa, Nguni and Sotho. Sotho includes Tswana and Pedi. Venda is part of the Shona group which is mainly in Zimbabwe but stretches into Mozambique in the east and some areas of Botswana to the west.
We firstly have BANTU ETHNIC GROUP, which is the biggest group in africa!! The countries in Africa where the equator passes through and all the countries south of the Equator are from the same lineage. We are children of NTU, That's what BANTU translates to. Then you have the BANTU people in the far south called NGUNI, who adopted the clicking sound in they language from the khoi and San people! I can go to Malawi or Uganda and find some of the words we use are the same🤷 it's one big family 🤣😂
Zulu language is the most easy language in South Africa in a way that everyone who come's in the country learn isiZulu before other languages. And we are good teachers by the way 😁
You guys are getting there. First the CT slang, and now this. Getting your dose of SA culture. I was ROTF when Dion asked if you can click too hard or soft. I think the louder you click, just puts emphasis on the word. Like when you're excited, or upset, the click will come out violently 🤣🤣🤣. And the P, Dion is doing it right. Sorry CiCi
yeah there are clicks that are softer than others, clicks also have variations for exam the C click has variation: Ch, nc, ngc and they all sound a little different with each letter you add. The more letters you add the harder the click will sound
The click, the M's kiss, the oo's the p's the k's & teeth swishes are all spiritual, heavenly mantras automatically( all over Africa in most languages. ). The name also means ( statue, status). This is why naming ceremony, and dedication.

@Dems......well tried 👌🏽with regular practice you will ace the clicks. And am happy because you will be able to pronounce my name. 🎉 In the other "clicks" video you reacted too, Cierra kept saying that they used to make the "Q" sounds at school but she didn't know what sound it was..... And that's how you say the "Q" sound. The guy in this vid was not using the word that shocked everyone maliciously, in proper IsiZulu it means smoking pipe that old men use to smoke tobacco, and through time has been adopted to mean something else.
There are several other Nguni languages in South Africa. Zulu, Swati, Xhosa and Ndebele are the recognized or rather major one's. A lot of past politics involved in that. The Colonial past and the apartheid education system.
