- Today I’m sharing an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift for a 10-14-year-old boy. Somehow that age group and gender seems to be the one that most often gets slighted in our shoebox packing efforts, and I know a lot of people struggle with it. That said, I have many favorite items I like to pack for a 10-14 year old boy and a favorite theme that encompasses of many of them and that’s an outdoorsy theme. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite, fun items that I’m packing into two identical “Great Outdoors” themed boxes for 10-14 year old boys. Enjoy!

The inside lid of each box is decorated with a calendar page of beautiful landscaping to which I added scripture. Upon packing up I added a nice looking cross necklace and Paracord bracelet to each box.
I love your outdoor theme for this age. You packed so many fun items and good quality too! It's amazing you got it all to fit in one shoebox! The child who receives this box will be overjoyed! Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas - I'm inspired!

This is a great box Trish! Love the outdoor theme. That compass has got to be my favorite! Or maybe the hammock. Such a useful item to include! The balance bird is very cool! The lanterns are such a needed item as well. I think boxes with fun and necessities are the best! TFS!

This is too funny - I just packed a box yesterday and packed it for a boy 10-14 with a similar theme with some similar items (flashlight, hot wheels, hat, calculator, little travel journal). I think this theme is perfect for an older boy. The items you chose for the box are wonderful ! He will love everything. I actually found myself taking so many things out of my box because not everything would fit - like sunglasses. The bull frog beanie is so fun! Love the lantern and hammock ❤️
Oh I know what you mean. I could’ve kept going with this one… a real backpack, water bottle or collapsible cup, etc. I had the bigger lantern in these, but had to swap it out. Luckily I was able to fit the smaller lantern, because I really wanted to get those packed this year. Thanks, friend. 🥰

I got the same ones. Great item for boys this age! I love everything you packed for these boys. You got so much in there! You are so good at this theme for this age! Thank you, my friend. Yeah, between Shein and Temu I’ve picked up quite a few pairs of nice sunglasses, especially for the older boys. The tricky thing, particularly with Temu, is finding them with UV or polarized protection. For some reason, they don’t describe many of them as having that trait.
Great box! I love the hammock and binoculars! I put paracord in mine often too. I will look for the rope tying printable. That's a great idea! And making the bracelet is a great idea too😊
Thanks, Annette. Yep, just Google knot tying illustrations. The bracelet making instructions you can get for free at Hobby Lobby. They have them hanging on a strip near the Paracord in the crafting section. It’s a pad. You just tear off a sheet.
A super-wow box. Amazing that you fit all that in! I do pack hats but I seem to struggle with them. I was going to watch really closely if you packed it up at the end. 😂😂😂
Sorry, Denise, I originally planned to pack it back up at the end, but the video had gotten too long, even though I edited it out a good 10 minutes of it, LOL. I turn the hat upside down and sit the rump of the stuffy inside. Typically the legs of the stuffy fall over the bill of the hat. Basically I’m wrapping the hat around the stuffy. Then I fill in the gaps with little things and underneath the part of the bill that curves up (bc the hat is upside down). Does that make sense?

Great box for a older boy, I love temu I got a great deal of 5 pairs of adult socks for a penny! That has never happened before, but needless to say I get great asesories and toys at a steal. I know some people have a problem with shopping on it , but I like to do shoe boxes and it is reasonable

Why are playing cards not allowed to be sent by some countries?
Lisa, I’m not exactly positive, because we’ve always been able to send them out of the US, but I have heard that some receiving countries view playing cards and dice as contributing to the bad habit of gambling.
