Disagree. I studied the impact of climate change on food systems. We currently produce more than enough food to feed everyone on Earth, yet almost 800 million go hungry. China has some of the highest carbon emissions, but only because it produces goods for the West. Addressing consumption of the rich, rethinking agricultural systems, reducing work hours across the board, and sharply limiting emissions from the largest polluting industries are all better ideas than getting all Thanos on everyone.
Our politicians ignore this issue of population because they kiss the ass of capitalism and so nothing will ever get done if there is silence. If we even mention the subject in a group gathering, we are labeled immediately as ecofascist eugenecists. Yes, some do take that line but I sure don't. I just never wanted to have kids because I saw these scary times coming back in the seventies. If I spoke to this issue of Planet not being able to live with our human activities, the people with whom I shared my thoughts would say I was being negative!!! The Planet cannot handle us. It is too late, folks! We are screwed. Hate to say it. But in the time we have before it all comes down, we can at least connect with each other in love, compassion and nurturing and that can be done through these plant medicines.
@@brianpace3293 oh come on Brian, “kill everyone Now!”-i’m kidding…that’s an old No means No song reference from the album, ‘Why do they call me Mr. Happy?!’ Bucky Fuller explained in the 1950’s that there was PLENTY of food, space, resources to support everyone on the planet endlessly, unfortunately our systems for caring for one another have been infected by ‘the love of money’ which has now become an imbalance impacting the entire world.
I think the climate crisis boils down to population crisis. That would be our most effective way to have a chance of global survival,
