The war was so complicated, initially there were only 2 camps, between the government that was overthrown by the general and the general's army camp that couped the legitimate president. However, as time went on, many other liberation members appeared and fought each other. As an Indonesian citizen, when I see this news, I only wish good luck to Myanmar and that it will be conducive again soon.
....................Imo, among most of the PDFs, Mandalay PDF might be the most standardized force. Because, when we look at the equipments , weaponry and uniforms, they all fit with the location where they have to fight. Firstly, uniforms, mixture of sandy and woodland camouflage, which is perfect for the landscape of Shan states or mainland regions like Mandalay or Magway. Secondly , weaponry, or should I say guns, they use the Type 81 rifle which is the Chinese indigenous rifle which is the combination of Chinese make Type 56 Ak and Type 56 sks. So with the use of polymer and plastic on the guns' body, the guns are lighter and more mobile to carry compare to Kapasa's MA series rifles which are pretty heavy. And in the videos and pictures , Mandalay PDF soldiers use the same guns as standard infantry rifle which use same ammo 7.62 by 39 rifle rounds. Not only infantry rifles, but also the MG or should I say စက်လက် they use and DMR such as SVD dragnov they use also use the same caliber called 7.62 by 54 mm rifle rounds. So what's the point of all these same ammo standardizings are important. Well, you can share ammo with your comrades and friendlies when you or they ran out of ammo because you guys use the same ammo rounds and same gun types. Lastly, the tactics and strategies they use. Unlike other pdf forces who use the guerrilla tactics and ambushing ways, MDY pdf faces Junta forces head on like two major countries fighting as we see in ukraine war, trenches and fortified positions. And they use hand signs instead of talking is really effective in the battles which have to be complete silence. As a resident of Mandalay and also the cdm student of Myanmar living in Shan states, I want to join MDY pdf and other EROs like KIA and TNLA someday to help fighting the against the Junta oppressing government.
Don't you think, their uniform are way too new for a combat force that has been in deployment for a while now. I was in Afghanistan and didn't see that many action, mostly Post One guard but my uniforms/camos were never this new. I am talking about the US Military units. Just saying, I could be wrong but it looks staged to me. And first 90 sec where two infantry dudes were advancing toward enermy position (seems like)on the road side while firing burst. The first dude could be in the cross fire. I wonder, 5.55 or 7.62 cost about 32 bath in bulk order+ logistic cost. Of note, an average cost of USMC unit is about 1.3 mil - that out the door price (training+ salary+benefits and what not). Now, the deployment cost for low intensity fighting like this one in Burma is, I am assuming, a few hundred USD per month, per soilder, where are they getting that kind of money? The math doesn't add up.
We get money from online. We donate those resistance and ERO forces online like facebook by sending money. The other way for supplying money is on ground. There are millions of people who support the anti dictatorship movement so they donate them. There are secret groups who volunteer to collect money from the funders in the city but those people's job is too dangerous because they have to move and collect funds in areas surrounding with junta forces. If they got arrested or captured, death or jail life for more than 3 years will be sentenced for sure. So, most people donate the revolution groups online like subscribing and watching RUclips videos from the channel that legally and directly donates to not only resistance fighters also to the ones who are in cdm movement.And sometimes we play some games that are developed by PDF and democratic groups to donate some funds by watching ads in the games. Those websites and games developers got money from online and in large amount like 2000 lakh of myanmar kyats a month which is the enough amount to equip one PDF platoon with enough ammos and gears for a few battles.@@Johnfulkan283

Also, PDF cannot produce ammo on our own. Actually, it's impressive for MPDF as some of the EAOs like KNU doesn't standardize their weapons and ammo, both AK and AR platforms.

That's not much. Look like they are, winning those battles but it doesn't mean they are closer to winning the war. Look, we won almost EVERY fight in Afghanistan but at the end we lost the war. So as in Vietnam war, the first 6 years, we were winning becasue we were beating Vietcongs in almost every battles. Burmese folks need to really really step back and think. I don't think they are winning, if their military objective is completely destory the current regime. They are not even remotely close. And there is a question of political objective of these revolutionaries- that's almost IMMPOSSIBLE to achieve.

Some forces are, unknowingly or ignorantly, establishing bases and focusing on territorial integrity like trying to hold "liberation zones". This opens up a huge gap for air assaults in which Burma Army dominates the sky. Are they wearing the enermy out, looks that way but they are exhausting themselves as well. I think, PDFs have become reactionary forces. Meaning they are largely responding to the initiatives of Burma Army and reacting to it whether it is, pure offensive or insurgency. They may master awesome tactics but at some point, they will have to consider frontal assult or some type (if their objective is to take out the regime). The way I see is, they may have all the experienced tactical commanders who can execute objectives, let just assume. But they don't have a commander to issue a comprehensive war policy. Going back to PDF being a type of QRF, PDFs/Burma freedom fighters are unknowingly relying on the fuck ups of Burma Army. Yes, it's good for now while Burma Army is in fucked up position. What happens when Burma Army figure out how to reorient their war priorities? And potentially starting war of annihilation on PDFs in Burma proper.
