Came to RUclips once again to setup my new toy - and sir you saved me and my son from some life long trauma today... This was exactly what we needed - you taught him and I a very valuable lesson - your never to young OR old to learn something new! RTFM sure, but also find people like you!! Cheers and happy installs!

ok, but.. what if I don't want the dash cam running while the car is parked/off? I connected the yellow "constant power" to an ACC fuse (per instructions), both leads are now on ACC, which should only record when the vehicle is on or in accessory mode...
results: when the car is running OR on ACC mode, my dash will not power on, however my phone will charge and shut off when the ignition and ACC is off, as intended... only solution I can think of is to wire the constant (yellow) to a constant fuse but then the camera will keep running after the ignition is off (according to the instructions, I don't want/need that... help?!

Hi N! Most dash cams that require a 3 lead hardwire kit will usually need all 3 wires to be connected (to their correct ACC, BATT and GND locations) in order for the dash cam to work correctly. What I recommend when someone does not need park monitoring, is just to turn it off in the settings menu (most dash cams will let you turn off this feature). Cheers!

Hi D! A Voltmeter can also be used, but I find the probe easier since it's a one hand operation here is my follow up video where I use a probe to I find ACC and BATT on any car ruclips.net/video/K2iKXj82354/видео.html I placed the link to the probe in that video's description, however I strongly recommend profession installation due to the dangers mentioned on this video if erroneously tapping a critical system of the vehicle and the dangers involved with air bags mentioned on this video ruclips.net/video/uZp95NbNlmM/видео.html Cheers!
