i definitely believe they are working really hard on the game but still i agree that we should at least get some kind of gameplay videos so we can see that progress is being made even though we know it is!

I personally never thought of hytale as "Minecraft 2" I've always thought of it more like a Skyrim/Terraria hybrid. with it's larger focus on fantasy adventure, and super cool boss fights and smooth combat. yes it's a block game, but it's a completely different vision than minecraft.
It's not completely different from Minecraft, Hytale has many aspects taken from minecraft that they have improved immensely.
I'm not gonna explain in full detail but I really think Hytale could become "Minecraft 2" as in to expand upon the "Minecraft formula" but will it surpass minecraft is something we'll just have to see.
actually no, i always thought hytale is mc 2 and that is infact true, everything is different but we cant deny that this is our sequel of our coming golden dynasty!
I think the dangerous thing is that gamers assume more time = better game. While it's true great games take a lot of time to make, it's also true that games can spend a lot of time on setbacks and mistakes without making the game better. A good example of a setback is the engine rewrite. They have to spend a lot of time recoding mechanics that were already finished. This is time they wouldn't have to have spent if they made the decision to code the game in C++ at the start of development, so it's objectively wasted time. This is not a hindsight thing either, Minecraft's Bedrock edition mistake should have given Hypixel all the foresight needed to avoid Java.
Another thing we have to worry about is regression. Sometimes games get updated and end up worse than they were before. Everyone believes that Hytale's combat update was a major improvement, but how could we know? We have never played either combat system, so it's all based on their word. Few people consider the possibility that Hytale's original combat was better and the rework was a waste of time. Regressive updates have occurred in many other games, the obvious example being Minecraft's controversial combat update. Another example of regression was Cube World making progression region locked. Devs who are passionate aren't immune to making bad decisions.
Miyamoto is wrong. A delayed game is SOMETIMES eventually good. But sometimes delayed games stay bad. I want the best for Hytale, I wouldn't be lurking around here if I didn't. But I think it's an unrealistic mindset to assume delays are always a good sign.

Nah man i never cared when anyone had disbelief on games saying it will not come this and that. I still truly believe the game will come out and never lost faith. Heck people were hopeless for cs go to get an engine update which i always believed that it will happen its just that its not an easy task, and now i see counter strike 2 with new engine. I will wait more if the game comes out to be a finished product and not rushed.

i’ve always been hyped for hytale even tho me and my cuz was in 4th and 6th grade when the trailer came out and we and now we are in 8th and 10th grade now we still always come back to see if there’s new content every few days I just can’t wait

Star Citizen is a Game that isn't possible to achieve with our current Systems and Tech.
So they must develop completely new and never seen Systems & Technologies to get closer and closer to their end goal.
At the end everyone will profit from their take, as they will develop new Systems & Techs which can be used in other Games.

As someone who doesn’t care much about this (I started Minecraft after hytale did their announce and never heard of it until recently), the thing I have seen that has turned me off to them is their Twitter.
For some reason, they think that in a drought of content for their game, and an unwillingness to share development, that an approach of taking shots at Minecraft is a good move. That’s the kind of philosophy that I personally don’t support. The classic terraria and MC comparison is illustrative, but even if they wanted to go all out against Minecraft it’s a shitty strategy imo.
Good for clicks bc annoying rage bait but makes them look even more inauthentic and less transparent than they already are. Good luck to em, they’re product certainly should be good at this pace. And I hope they figure out a strategy that allows them to show what’s good about them without seeming like dicks
I understand that some people dislike the unwilligness to share development approach.
But the Team have said that they will share more news about Hytale at the end of this Year and that they are drafting stuff up for it. (For over 1-2 Months now lol)
This can be smth bigger, like a Announcement, ton of Gameplay etc, which could be the explanation for their unwilligness take.
You might be confusing Hytale News with the Offciail "Hytale" and "Hypixel Studios" Account.
Hytale News is a Fan Made and Run account who sometimes writes these shots against Minecraft, which many of us in the Community dislike.
Even Buddhacat, the Community Manager of Hypixel Studios(and Hytale) stepped in and told Hytale News to stop with these Hateful Comments towards other Games and Communites.
After that they stopped.
Oh! and i still remember that crazy ass jump from the glider into the ocean full of sea monsters and survived on minecraft rpg mod i think it was? during the live steam :p

Five years isn't that long for a games' development, I know it was in development before the reveal BUT Riot has acquired it, and they needed to use a new engine. They may as well have had to make a new game in many ways.
TBF elder scrolls 6 and GTA 6 have been in development since 2011.
The biggest thing is communication. I’m sure development hell doesn’t lend towards many new updates, but I feel like a random holiday post doesn’t do much to engage the community. I honestly do not care about getting my hands on it until it’s ready. I just want to feel a pulse from their team.

I wouldn't call it a "Minecraft 2" per say. It always felt like a fantasy rpg game to me. Like Skyrim, Terraria, Dragon's of Dogma, DnD, etc.
But I am genuinely excited for Hytale. I mean if I could wait 12 years for Diablo 3?? I can wait for this.
Personally I would like a well developed game that took a while vs a game that was rushed and buggy with multiple patch updates.

Yeah, I should clarify by Minecraft 2, I meant something to take what Minecraft started and expand upon it and surpass it.

Since there was no news about hytale at the end of 2023, that means most likely we will not see the game until 2025 or beyond

It sort of saddens me to think that the trailer we saw back in 2018, that game, will never truly be playable by us. Since all the changes they've made to the game, complete reworks and such, have for sure made it different. I do wish we were able to get our hands on the 2018 version of Hytale, just because that's what most of us really fell in-love with and we will not be able to play that when the true Hytale eventually releases.
I have a feeling of ambivalence towards this 'new' Hytale, because it will not be the game we were shown, but hopefully something better. I pray that all the fans, new and old, are able to play the game when it comes out and enjoy it.
The Hytale Trailer version will never be playable for us... So true...

Thank you, I talk to Aegous daily at this point and I know he works hard and is trying to make the mod great, I try to get vids but he doesn't feel the mod is ready enough yet

It would have to be released and be for sale for it to be a scam. The only people whom have stakes in it at the moment are the dev team and the publishers. It just sounds like they revealed it too early. They're pretty transparent about what they're doing and it isn't crowd funded, so I kind of doubt it will be one. Games can take years to develop, the average large scale game takes about 5 years, 6-7 years isn't bad.

If this entire hype was started by one or two, even a few people..
I looked in their channel and their first trailer animation currently has 60 million views, then the subsequent videos there, and with the different ways there are to make money from RUclips videos?
And then there are other channels about hytale, and who really knows 'who' made those?
And there are others ways people could make money off the whole thing, never having to produce a final product, and it would all be perfectly legal..
So I'm just saying.. I seriously think the entire thing has been a scam from the start, and there will never be a release,
and even "if" there is, it won't be anywhere near what people have been expecting.

I think even though you are correct that people are furious with the game direction, due to mods, smps, young kids playing it and Mojang's marketing, the game is still doing great and I know this because Minecraft videos are super popular. I agree that Minecraft is like wasted potential at this point, but unfortunately the game is still popular among its playerbase, especially after Pewdiepie revived the game a few years ago, but it will slow down and die again.
Also thank you, I wanted to make an intro that made people feel happy, and I appreciate your comment and agree with that people dislike the directions and laziness of Mojang more than ever.

Minecraft is not improving, i used to play since villagers were just introduced, but i completely stopped. Such a shame seeing our childhood getting corporate and less creative/innovative

@@Jamble i was recently doing something that i called the gifting initiative.
I went to small capable creators to gift them tracks, since i am a composer and i make some tracks just to experiment a bit, but i was either ignored, insulted or even treated as a scammer by those.
I think our vision also became gray, we wre not kind anymore, and as such game developers started being more and more detatched from us, greed taking place in their heart.
Why i have to pay for console's online still baffles me to this day.
I for example payed 60€ for Fae Farm, which turned out a crap rip-off, it's a game with too many fatal flaws that deserved a 20€ price in my opinion. People have no more passion today, and as someone that grew up with the game boy advance and ps2, completely breaks my heart.
When devs work too little on their game to release it quickly, fans get mad. But when devs actually take time and put forth effort into their game, fans get mad. Theres never an in between :|
Tbh we are in an instant attention and reward economy. Fast Food, TikToks and Gaming has programmed us to want rewards straight away without thinking about the work those rewards take to make.
I know you are a small creator and this may be a bit harsh, but can you tone down the “jokes” please? I want to get on with the video and not have some random clip from popular media or memes shoved in my face for… humor I suppose?
I think this is most best represented by 0:31, it takes an extremely long time and has no comedic timing, has random popular media/memes put in there, conveys no point, and basically destroys everything the video tries to set up; it removes the viewer from what their viewing. On top of that, I think it’s worst quality is the time it takes, all the other “jokes” are at least short enough, but this takes 20 seconds, which is practically HALF the content of the video up to that point. Im glad it toned down in the latter half a bit though, but that was not a good first impression.
Yeah I sort of realised that too, I am trying new editing styles and seeing what works. I like the memes and jokes, but there was too much in that video. My next one will defo have more info and maybe like 3 - 4 memes, I am trying to hit that perfect balance. Thanks for the honesty, its appreciated.

Im gonna predict that Hytale will be Free2play. Why? To get minecraft players + those who cant afford minecraft.
I mean its smart but they will lose a lot of money from those guys who will buy the game, play it once and then never pick it up again too, also with modding it will be very hard for them to sell skins, mods and stuff like that and also the people who play singleplayer wont really care to buy dlc stuff. I think their best bet is to go the OG Minecraft price at $14

Everytime you open Hytale theres just tons of skins,mods,maps bundles at the home screen. Idk if Hytale will take some server revenue from community server owners. Will hytale have a HytaleCoin that will be used globally in all community servers? Or will it be similar to minecraft that it will take you to a 3rd party shop. Like if I want to purchase a rank and it will cost 100hytalecoin. then by every end of the month Hytale will pay servers like ey this is how much you earned from scamming children to buy your ranks(100,000 hytalecoins) you will receive $70,000 -our cut percent. Or will it be like hytale: ey yow we dont want non of that.

I don't think it can be a scam, because there are technically no "customers" or "investors" literally no one has any actual stake. If they release a shitty product and people buy it expecting it to be good (because of the teams hype and trailers), that would be a scam. But because the products doesn't exist you can't be scammed.
Hypixel has simply lost it. At some point you have to see it for what it is, a failed project, just like Cube World.
How did they lost it.
They got one of the biggest Gaming Publishers in the World.

@@HeinzAnimation Only if the game comes out, enough people are still interested, and if it's actually a good game. And right now it looks like another Cube World disaster, that is why they lost it. And a big publisher is not necessarily a win, it could easily be the opposite.

Cube World was a 1-2 People Project without any funding, while Hytale is a Project with over 130 Employees + Riot Games, which acquired them.
Also, where do you see a "Cube World" disaster?
Cube World failed because it was launched in a Alpha State and didn't receive the Updates it needed.
Hypixel Studios is doing the exact opposite.
They want Hytale to release in a good and playable state, no matter how long it will take before Release, and Riot Games supports them with that.
@@dowak3991 The devs are literally aware of the technical difficulties that Cube World, Minecraft, and all these other games had to face and have delayed the game for that exact reason. And while there’s been a lack of updates, the devs have been nothing but enthusiastic about the game and it’s progress on social media. The only failure I see here is your obvious lack of research.

Geez your so impatient thanks to your tik tok trained 20 second minds, a great game takes time let the team work in peace my hell paranoia is a real thing in this generation. I'm anticipating the games release but again when it's ready it will come. This is hoe you reassure devs to hurry things up which causes bugs unfinished content and issues.
