Ghostbusters 2 Mandela Effect? I swear it’s real! I have MORE proof!

- Growing up, I SWEAR my copy of Ghostbusters 2 (recorded from the tv broadcast) had a different ending! I’m not the only one who swears this ending was the ending they saw. Are we part of a strange Mandela Effect?

Right there with you. Vividly remember that ending. Here’s the thing… the Statue of Liberty has changed. It wasn’t on this giant basically building before. It had a much plainer and shorter base. She was holding a book. Her opposite arm was raised. AND the location has changed. The torch was also NOT closed to the public… residue for everything I’ve stated exists. But rest assured the movie DID once end the way you recall :)
It was Ellis island.. now it's liberty island.. and I remember that ending too..now that he mentioned it..

[EDIT 2] Aha! I think I solved it. This is how the _first_ movie ends, with Slimer flying towards us screaming. So maybe they didn't want to be repetitive? But it was easy enough to think that, maybe they'd do the same thing twice?
My friend i just watch a video of Eddie Vedder (pearl jam) singing...i mean, i swear he was death since in my "timeline" since early 2000s or late 90s. This is the biggest Mandela effect I've ever experienced, it's ridiculous, I can't believe it... and it turns out that on Reddit only a few people have the same memory, but at least there are a few people who experience it that way . I know that practically everyone is going to say that the man has been alive all this time, but for me it is something impossible, impossible, and I just saw him singing with his 25 additional years than I remembered him... WTF, somebody Tell me that I'm not crazy and remember the same thing as me🤯🤯🤯
The first movie ends like that, and I don't trust my memory enough to be confident it was on the 2nd as well. I've seen both of them (a LOT) but I had to check my dvd real quick and... tbh I don't remember that last scene where they're having a thank you with the statue replaced and it pans up to the twin towers. I just remember it cutting out at the museum steps.

Here’s another one you should remember since we are around the same age. The movie Flight of the Navigator had a scene where the boy takes the ship through a MacDonald’s drive-thru… gone now fr the movie as well as MacDonald’s fr reality… still got that Big Mac tho…

The statue had moved, so how would that have been the ending? In the storyboard the statue was in it's original location. So that ending couldn't have worked in the final cut.
