I watched another reactor and they said it seems like in the beginning, Seungwoo is sucked into the mirror/game and then at the end, the member is coming out of the “box or game” onto a bigger chess board....they said it’s like they seem to reference always being a “pawn or playing piece” in some form of game. Like they finally got out of one “game” only to be thrown into a bigger “game”, if that makes sense.
A lot of it screams Alice In Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass to me. Chess, card suits, blue rose (instead of red rose), going into the Mirror, being in small rooms, oversized objects to give a sense of distortion.
The fact that this was their best album and i cant listen to it anymore-, at least I can stream the mv. Also the one sitting on the horse isn't Chan but it's Seungsik! I feel like the concept it more royal/regal considering the whole album bsides and the concept photos.

Honestly when it was announced as a "latin inspired" song I was kind of freaked out because latin sounds aren't easy to achieve successfully by foreigners, but it was waaay better than I expected. Visually and in terms of music I believe it's one of their best releases so far and I think the same, it's nice to see them so confident. It's more impactful. I'm so excited to see what else they have in store for us because they tend to pull off very well every concept, either nostalgic/sad or fresh/fun. I mean it's a Wonderland concept that match their fandom name, Alice, which in the movie there are the Red and White Queen with a literal army of cards so def that kind of concept
What's interesting is that I've seen others say it's like watching a group of soloists come together, and this album showcases solo songs from half of the members!
The album is my favorite from Victon so far, every song is soooo good. They are 4 solo songs and I particularly love Seungsik's Carry On because it was written by the other members and it resonates a lot with Seungsik's role as Victon's leader because he only became the leader when Seungwoo left for X1 so it was a bit hard for him to take on this role and then keep it when Seungwoo came back
I am so thrilled that you’re finally seeing their new INCREDIBLE comeback. They definitely look like princes but there’s also a lot of Alice in Wonderland references in the video.

Not just this MV but the whole album is very clearly inspired by Alice in Wonderland, just looking at the songtitles screams AiW and this MV has soo much imagery that is connected to that. From the into the mirror thing at the start, the blue rose, chess, the royalty-esque styling, color grading... everything just screams Alice to me which is also really endearing since the fan name and the lightstick also follow that theme 😊
i feel like victon were able to survive the mess that was pdx because they were so confident in their skills as a team. with seungwoo's popularity, it would have been so easy and honestly probably would have made sense for him to go completely solo but i feel like he came back and pushed even MORE for victon. like pd said, they're all so charismatic and confident, and this comeback really showed that off

I really appreciate their vocal in this song though! Agree with you about the confidence they expressed through dancing. Feeling like they're saying 'I'm so cool, I'm the best, trust me, follow me, I'll take you to the new world.' I guess that's why the box was opened and Seungwoo is set free at the end.

I was 5 minutes late to a zoom meeting because I had to watch this mv when it premiered and I have no regrets 😂. The whole album is great, I've listened to it almost daily. I'm a new Alice and Victon are definitely coming for that ult. spot! Edit: oh yeah Flip a coin has a performance video. Highly recommended checking it out.
I always say this but victon will grow on you. They have timeless songs like time of sorrow, nostalgia, mayday, and many more that secretly sneaks up on you and becomes your favorite songs.

Why is nobody talking about Chan's part after Hanse's rap?! Like, it was just a nice change up! Their parts really compliment the song, after a harsh rap the "flow-ness" of Chan's portion is chef's kiss.
I think it's like a whimsical dreamland concept with separate dreamlike aesthetic motifs for each member individually. The song being about them manifesting their desires by merely uttering them, that's what I'm personally coming away with.But, also, coinciding this with flip a coin, especially Hanse's part about K-Pop being like a hot jackpot which can't be contained... Yeah. It's a gamble, but, it's not, it's like it's rigged in their favor.
Pd should try considering to react to Youha, she's one of the composers of What I Said, her latest cb is Abittipsy and its a bop but Island is a bop too! She just debuted last year

I think it's like a whimsical dreamland concept with separate dreamlike aesthetic motifs for each member individually. The song being about them manifesting their desires by merely uttering them, that's what I'm personally coming away with.But, also, coinciding this with flip a coin, especially Hanse's part about K-Pop being like a hot jackpot which can't be contained... Yeah. It's a gamble, but, it's not, it's like it's rigged in their favor.
I highly recommend you to listen and react to "Flip a Coin", this song is literally the best track on their new album (for me ofc) 🔥
Pd should try considering to react to Youha, she's one of the composers of What I Said, her latest cb is Abittipsy and its a bop but Island is a bop too! She just debuted last year
