I think it's about their role in SMCU. (After rewatching it for several times with my face really close to the screen, I can surely say that. I think they're villains, mostly because of Hendery's bright green eyes and the backround. Idk why, but it somehow reminds me of Taemin's Criminal & Red Velvet's Feel my ryrhem.)
One thing I noticed about WayV MVs, is that they always have such fascinating cinematography that looks so stylish and stunning, it really pulls you in and gets you interested in watching. Props to the people in charge of cinematography for WayV MVs!

WayV's concept, choreography, and genre = superiority. They really own this concept in NCT! Real fans know how to distinguish if the songs is really made for a specific unit. Mysterious, fantasy and sexy concepts are on wayv!

I agree with you, SM did a great job and making sure the different units sound different from one another. WayV's sexiness and NCT 127 experimental neo-chill hop are my favorite concepts of all 4 units.
