Pig Valley Trail Ride, Wakefield, New Zealand, 21 July 24

Great days riding at the Dick's property for Bailey Basalaj's fundraiser ride to help him get to the ISDE.
There hasn't been a ride here since about 2016, so it was awesome to be back. Track was very cool, with a mixture of terrain. A bit slippery at the start with a bottleneck forming on the first hill on the first lap as you can see in this video.
This time the camera is on Seb's helmet on his KTM 85, with Finn out in front and me riding behind.
We did 6 laps of the main track which I think was about 12km, plus some A grades on the last lap.

Hey Ben shoo it looked like a mud hell in that one section of hill that quiet a few riders were taking a strain. but ye its all part of riding. How are you and the kids doing. Great video i enjoy watching to see what type of terrain you ride on, ours here is very different. We,ve got a full mixture of any type of terrain and area to ride.

It was a bit of a mess on that hill at the start because of all the initial traffic, but it cleared out after the first lap and for the rest of the day you could just fly up it.
My brother has done an adventure bike ride around South Africa and enjoyed it. His photos looked awesome.

How do you find out about these trail rides?

Keep an eye on the Facebook pages of Nelson Motorcycle Club, Marlborough Motorcycle Club, Ando's Dirtbike events and Adventure Trailride events. That should cover most of the rides in the top of the South Island.
