    Regarding where this band is from. There's a definite accent from the singer before they covered "Like A Prayer". They started a tour in South America, a lot of bands start touring in their home countries and possibly continents.
    In the song "Feel The Zeal" Lilith punishes herself by kneeling on rice and in "My First Peak" she kneels on corn. Both as punishment. While these are old, outdated punishments, I could only find mention of them among South American Catholics.
    I could be wrong but it's been hella fun trying to guess and speculate the origins of Dogma!

    I saw Dogma on November 17, 2024 in San Antonio. They are great!! I got to meet them at a Meet&Greet after the show. They didn't say much, but they each handed me a trinket. They each said in a soft and beautiful voice as they handed me the trinket, "This is for you". I was thrilled to say the least. I got some pictures as well. My new favorite band.

    Dogma at Present is composed of entirely new members. An article, in the authors own analysis, stated that 11 females altogether have used the respective pseudonyms at least two times, with the recent members still unrevealed. That said, the former members were:
    Lilith I - Isa Roddy
    Lamia I - Bruna Terroni

    Man the voice of Lillth in the answers of the interview is an AI generated voice. I think Dogma is a project, not a band in the conventional way. Even if you hear with attention an even in the videos you can see that Lilith is not the same person that sings and performs the video Father I have Sinned or Forbidden Zone than the woman that signs Made Her Mine. I know she is wearing a mask in that video, but a pair of her atributes are not as plethoric as the ones the girl of the first videos have, not to say her voice and vocal resources. So, I think that Dogma is a project created to transcend the persons that are implied in the band, being able to change the persons behind the characters as needed. The live concert that we are all anxiously waiting will give us some ansers, we´ll see.

    • @MetalProfessor65
      @MetalProfessor65  6 месяцев назад

      First, man, thanks so much for watching and commenting! I too hope the tour will clear up some questions. I'm going o the Meet & Greet in Lima, and I'm curious whether the voice coming from Lilith will be the same as that in interview. (I've asked for an interview in person, but no response yet.) I'm not sure, though, that the voice is AI. It has some pauses and inflections that AI hasn't nailed yet. The rather monotonic delivery I think is simply because she's reading from a script (which is surprisingly difficult to do well). IN ANY CASE, yeah, looking forward to the tour!
      In my listenings to all the songs, it sounds to me as though there are three Lilith voices (although others have said only two), and I'm not certain the woman in the first few videos is the person doing the actual singing. We'll see!
      🤘

    • @MetalProfessor65
      @MetalProfessor65  6 месяцев назад

      Oh, and that doesn't sound like an AI voice to me. The respondent clearly is reading from a script, yes, but neither the cadence nor the inflection of many phrases sounds artificial. AI voices always pause for the same amount of time after each comma and period/question mark/exclamation point. Also, AI (as far as I've heard, anyway) doesn't slow down to emphasize any individual words. As noted in my previous response, I'll be curious whether Lilith in person sounds like the voice in the responses. Thanks for watching and reading, and I'll pump out as many vids as quickly as I can re: the show itself! 🤘

    • @MetalProfessor65
      @MetalProfessor65  4 месяца назад +2

      Oops, sorry, I should have posted this a few weeks ago: now having met and spoken with Lilith, I can confirm that the voice is indeed hers. And although she's obviously reading from a script, I have it on fairly good authority that she wrote it.

Caveat: After seeing the band live, I thought that the album Lilith had been replaced again, but I'm not so sure of that anymore, after listening more carefully to various passages. I have a theory. Judging by watching their performances and paying attention to small details. It appears that their outfits have arm bands, leg bands and Lilith has the slits of the front of her dress with what looks to be Hebrew lettering. I am wondering if they are from Israel. It could be just a cosmetic detail but it could be more. She spoke very proper English which to me the lack of more slangish terms especially considering their type of music implies it may not be her first language and it was school taught. @@MercilessWaysDesigns Interesting ideas! And while I, myself, do not speak or read Hebrew, I am told by some that the lettering is indeed that. To me, Lilith 's speaking voice sounds very naturally American. It seems perhaps a bit stilted only because she is reading from a script (which she wrote, I am given to understand). But as for there being from Israel, well, they assert that they do not want to discuss where they are from, but having spoken (albeit quite briefly) with each member of the band, I would go with "not Israel." 😊 If you haven't checked out the--well, RUclips sometimes seems to delete references to the website, so let's just say it rhymes with "Thread it"-- anyway, check out the WeAreDogma sub-thread-it, and you'll find all kinds of great stuff, people talking about these kinds of things. I did a review of them myself, and during my extensive research, I am pretty sure they are from Mexico. Anways, it doesn't matter. What matters is the music. I love their sound and their image. It's refreshing. And they can play. I know good musicians when I see and hear them, and these people can really play their intruments - I mean REALLY play their instruments.Well done Professor on scoring a unique review. Oh damn! Well that "interview" destroyed my outlook on this band. The ridiculous comical "answers" radiated an immaturity and naievity on a level far in excess of what I have heard before. Impossible to take them seriously at all. Musically they are a talent, but lyrically I could give the benefit of the doubt, but now I'll give them a wide berth. Maybe if they are still around in 10 or so years, have matured a little and dropped the whole contrived comic book "shock" persona that renders nothing but laughter, I might give them another chance? Thanks for this, it opened my eyes.

    • @MetalProfessor65

      Wow, damn, sorry it opened your eyes in that direction. This band is a theatrical project, and its managers are hands-on with everything, I suspect even including the scripting. Those clearly were not heartfelt words, but part of the theater. If you take the words seriously, then your conclusion is entirely appropriate. If, on the other hand, one recognizes the theatrics, it--for me, anyway--doesn't bother my fondness for this band very much. And I will tell you that the voice in the answers is, in fact, Lilith's speaking voice, and these musicians (five now, a second guitarist having been added) are already a pretty cohesive unit and can deliver even in the tiny venue in which I saw them (Kantaro Theater in Lima, Peru). When I first heard about them almost a year ago the first thing I did was check their website and they had this exact type of philosophical paganry in it! We are talking about hot nuns singing about sins in explicit videos after all...
      And u say this has been done before many times - when exactly was the last time u heard anti-christian nuns in corpsepaint playing catchy heavy metal?! And sadly nowadays doing good music is often NOT enough! U need to stand out somehow from the thousands of bands. They chose this image and it fits their music and seems to work. ... Yes cool Mrs Le Professeur, I dont know what genre of music Dogma is (I'lii go to your album review) ...
    I love the look, for me old french guy, they could be a good Black Metal band or better a Batcave (Goth) band like Siouxie Sioux (I was a fan once with the Cure).
    But I think they are not, it must be something like metal or hard-rock (because you're The Metal Professor, it's why I think it's like that ^^).
    And from all the person you presented as "I am Dogma", I only saw one that I knew about him, Al Di Meola (an old, 2 years older than me, guitar hero, oh shit ^^, so it cannot be Black Metal or Goth music).
    And yes, I wish you' go to see one of their show, Bogota perhaps (I saw some shows there on youtube from some bands and I felt some good vibes, but Bogota is not the safest city in the world, so yes ...).

    People spending more time trying to figure out who they are and where they're from, and hardly anyone talking about the "message" itself.
    Considering how many members they've gone through in less than a year makes me wonder how many of them actually cared about or believe in their "message". Makes it all come across as disingenuous. It's still a great album but this sort of thing really puts a damper on the band and kinda spoils the vibe. But if it makes you feel any better, I'm told that the five women in the band now have put an active, collective hand on the rudder and display few if any qualms about disagreeing with management.
