The Ghost of Captain Cutler Reminds Me As The Fishy Phantom From The Book, Scooby Doo And The Fishy Phantom. Because The Fishy Phantom Is Just A Fishman. While The Ghost of Captain Culter Is Just A Phantom Diver.
This wasn't a bad episode for the 2nd episode of the series. I really like the title cards for this one and the first episode. I wish they stuck with that format. The Ghost of Captain Cutler wasn't super scary, but I imagine coming across someone in a dive suit that is glowing in the dark would be pretty terrifying. If you do ever get one, make a video lol. Great review!!
If I do ever get one, I'll walk into the job placement office in your building and you can watch me on the video monitors. I reckon I'd swiftly be removed by security though. I wish they stuck with the title cards as well. They were so cool! But it was also awesome to see all the fan creations you showcased, plus the panel you did on the topic.
@@planetscooby13 hahaha if I saw that on the cameras I’d have to go see it in person lol. Maybe I need to keep a Scooby costume at work just in case! The title card recreations were awesome! I was so happy so many people participated! Seeing everyone’s art styles together was so cool!
My opinion of the episode: It's definitely a step up from the previous episode, the monster interacting a lot more with the gang, the implementation of the clues, having more than one suspect and I admit that I didn't like the revelation of the monster from the beginning (This is because actually my language is Spanish and I'm bad at understanding English, so I couldn't understand who the guy was (I watch the videos with automatic subtitles and write or read the comments thanks to a translator option)), but thanks to your video you made me realize who he really was and I'm really glad he's not a random person (Especially knowing that this episode introduced more than one suspect). Unfortunately, this episode also felt slow-paced, which made the episode not good for me. The truth is a shame, since this episode does have several elements that I genuinely liked, but if that is combined with a rhythm that bores me most of the time, I can't say that the episode is good (The worst thing is that this episode is not the only one that happens to him) My rating: 5/10
That's an interesting point with the Spanish/English barrier making it difficult to understand the episode. I would have figured these episodes would have been dubbed/translated to Spanish given that this is a 55 year old series. But I suppose if you were streaming these - that might not be an option. Regardless, you English Translator to leave comments is really good as your thoughts come across crystal clear.
@@planetscooby13Of course there is a dubbing in Spanish, but since I currently don't have streaming to watch that series, I had to watch it with Dailymotion

I actualy never realised this is the only episode to not have a laugh track..I had never noticed!..oh and I always used to think this was the first ever episode..but I was 6 at the time in 1969, and it probably just stuck in my head because of the old Victorian diving suits..which as you say..were scary enough anyway..but to have a dead diver in one..well that was scare overload for 6yr old me.
lol, you just made him even scarier for me. I just always assumed the diving suit was empty and possessed by a spirit, but now you got me imagining there's a dead guy inside! That's a scare overload for 45 year old me!

Shaggy. Come out of that umbrella
I never realized this until now, but I've said that to my dog many times.
It was a big twist when captain cutler was still alive.

@@ScoobyAddicts lol, yes, you should keep a Scooby-Doo costume at work for sure!
Graveyard of lost ships reminds me of the one from the first Jonny Quest episode,Mystery of the Lizard Men.
I agree! How I miss classic Jonny Quest, if only more seasons were made way back when.
The ghost of captain Cutler should be laughing instead of growling and moaning
