Hey everyone! We're Eric Lagerstrom and Paula Findlay. We're both professional triathletes; we train for and race triathlon for a living. Thanks so much for subscribing and helping us keep triathlon fun.

Last week we raced Challenge Miami, so we've got a little bit of a down week to make some improvements on our new house. Most importantly, the garage. We are building out half of the garage to be a bike workshop and half to be a gym for indoor triathlon training.

Your weekly videos, always cheer me up. This week it really helped We lost our beautiful little French Bulldog yesterday. So we are broken. Feeling a little better after my weekly check-in. I couldn't even contemplate training yesterday. Now going for a run to try to clear my head. Thank you as always for being my pick me up, and inspiration. Give Flynn a hug from us. Beware the dog that only bites you. Once they are sadly gone. Stay safe, see you next week.
Another great video in the books. The biking on the road of packed snow/ice was gnarly. The video of biking on those narrow trails is fantastic! And the garage wall paint is perfect! Workshop area is so cool! Now you have the tools to continue with remodel, as I know you will! Great start!

Awesome off road footage, super complement to training on the road. Great for strength, handling skills and focus. No day dreaming on the off road stuff you guys do. Also very impressed with your "handyman skills" for the pain cave. You're a multi-talented dude Eric, You're a pro in a bunch of things!

When you are all settled in, it would be great to get your prospective on the transition from the city to a more remote location and the challenges you are seeing in Bend so far.
I am in the same move boat and you are totally trailblazing the way for me now !!
We can do something like that, but honestly, for us it feels more communal since our last place was very much on the outskirts of Portland. Bend is actually pretty busy, and full of people who do what we do, so we already have way more friends and feel "normal" versus being the crazy exercise people on the block back in Troutdale. We don't really do many "city" things anyway, except for eat out, and Bend has good enough food variety to keep us busy.

I really appreciate the variety you put into each video from training, shopping, coffee, nutrition pre or post training . . . as a non-triathlete I’m curious about what the impetus is to get a bike fit and change positions and why a fit one year isn’t correct for another year? I’m training for Saint George and trying to landscape my yard and run a business at the same time. The long bike and run weekends don’t make it easy. Great vid as always and congrats on the new house!

Taking that extra few mins and pulling the panel cover off to paint made me happy for some silly reason. I’m on my second house and past owners painting over trim, face plates, and registers drove me crazy.

The rack system is by Rubbermaid. You can get all sorts of attachments for it 👍

Hi Both! First of all you are both the best, love all of your content and the stoke you bring to triathlon. Apparel is also amazing. Random question because I can't remember. What is the espresso machine you guys ended up getting? As a fellow Canadian (shoutout Paula) I am curious so I can have an idea of what to get so I can keep my eye out for when Bay Days eventually roll around again!

Eric great video even with all the house work you and Paula have to do. What is the altitude in Bend where TTL is headquartered. Here in Boulder, where it is currently snowing! we are at 5,328ft. But, I head 1 mile up the road to TO and Rinny's house, just below 6,000ft. Can't wait to receive my TTL Miami shirt. Keep it real!
Yo! Altitude here is just shy of 4k, so it's not brutal, but you notice it when going hard. Stoked you got a shirt!! They're on the way 👍

I can't imagine how it's felt to watch it change. I've been over on the Sandy side of Mt Hood my whole life, but even seeing the change in Bend from trips as a kid has been crazy.

@Eric which hooks did you use to hang the bikes, I have 808's and 62's on my bikes. Wanted to use same hanging method you used in your garage....BTW Epic F'ing finish this past weekend dude......Kudos from Charlotte NC

I don't think they're as expensive as California, but it's hard to find anything in Bend with a garage for less than $600k now. Unless you go a bit out of town. Even two years ago, it was only $350k. But then everyone in California heard about Bend 😂

Painting sucks, setting up a camera and recording.. adds to the misery. PROPS! I want to see the process for the rest of the garage. Hope you can fit that in next week player!
Love bike tool area. What system is the bike hangers? We have almost 10 bikes between us and storing them has been difficult especially when most are mountain and gravel.
Garage is looking great. Might be room for a proper mountain bike though...

How do you like the wahoo watch? I’m thinking of getting it but want to know from real world experience how you like it.
I really really like it. Pretty much solves all the annoyances I’ve had with Garmin products through the years. So incredibly easy to set up and change data fields and it seems super accurate so far
