I got me a pair. Did go half a size down. Had a better fit. Did need to adjust the laces to, found my toes hitting the front of the shoe. After adjusting no more issues. I think it's worth the price. All around solid shoe for me. I usually prefer more court feel. And usually don't play in lebron's but i'm liking these.
so the size 10's were too big... but you copped them anyway? ok. then you complain about slippage and fit? if it was too snug on the midfoot, sure. sounds like you need to go back and get yourself 9.5's for a proper review, if not just for your own personal use. dope review otherwise
It really depends.if you are a wide foot guytrue to size you'll be fine. But if your are a narrow to regular fit guy, than maybe go down half or one size
Fit has hard for me too. Size down was too tight, and slipped a bit in my true size. I usually am able to tie down my laces to secure feet, but it was hard to with this setup. And if anyone is thinking of relacing best to put on some netflix shoes cause you are going to be there for a while.
i couldn't even go down a half a size because my toes were hard up against the toe box (and the heel was STILL slipping), it is well known this shoe has a lot of issues with fit and heel slip man i wouldn't necessarily put this on Jahronmon for not sizing down enough dude
duh cuz the length of the shoe will be too short to fit his 10 and a half foot. But if we talking bout the width then it will be ok for him to go down half a size.
@@JAHRONMON If I'm not mistaking, Jordan played with the 1-8, retired and never played with the 9's, then he wore the 10-14, retired again. Finally he played for 3 years, if I remember well, so 13+ 3 is 16, so MJ must have worn 16 Jordan's. Hope I helped !
Love the review man. I just returned a size 9 of this bad boys due to some inconsistencies on the gluing process and I figured it will lead to sole separation later on. Unfortunately they ran out of stocks of size 9's. I recalled your review and your complaint about the size so I went half a size and boy It fit like a glove. Thanks for your insights Bro. I've also been a type of player to wear Kobe kicks, I like to play explosive and light shoes do the best job. But like you, I'm considering these LeBron 16s because he is now a Laker, might cop them soon. Great review
Davon you... idk what to say kobe's are comfortable light and easy to move around in with great traction i'd say kobe's are the perfect shoes but i guess it is your opinion
They hold up performance wise still above average imo , if you have good knee unlike me I would be wearing the 9's still . The lockdown in the heel is crazy , only the elite with the carbon Im talking about . Its so good its harder on my knee. Cushioning (lunar drop in) is a little less comparing it to a nxt 360 (react / lunar drop in) but still nice and the traction is possibly the best traction created (way better than nxt360) . Another reason they were tough for me to play in , the stops were so hard it puts extra stress on my knee. And they are flyknit , and super light . I go between the nxt 360 when my knees feel good and switch out to a jordan 30 or kd 12 know . If only they did the kobe 9 with a zoom bag in the forefoot I would use those exclusively. sorry for ramble lol but get 9's if you are light with good knees lol #happy420
so...i sprained my ankle pretty bad in these, taking months to fully heal. they are super comfortable and traction was top tier, BUT that cushion has your foot higher off the ground to the point where your ankle rolls easier. outrigger doesn't do much its almost non existent. just my thoughts...
Sub 6 footers reviewing shoes designed for 6 foot 9 260 player. Those of us that are 6 foot 5 or 6 and 230 and up LOVE every single shoe in the LBJ line. Joints and everything waist down doesn't know you're that big and impact is EVERYTHING. LBJ shoes always account for this like no other shoes. I wear the Lebron 15 and 16 for running, walking, basketball and casual and my orthopedist is convinced they're staving off future knee work. So everyone should keep that in mind with these shoes- they're targeted at men who fall in the 99th percentile of height and weight. Does that mean they won't work for average sized men? Of course not- especially for causal use. But at the end of the day these are targeted at really tall and big guys which means they won't work the BEST for the vast majority of players.
@@muradkhalifa6700 no he's right- remember that only 14.5 pct of men are over 6 foot and less than 1 pct are 6 foot 4 or taller. Even when slanted towards basketball playing men, probably 3 out of every 4 subs are average height (5 foot 10) or shorter. BUT - that's kind of my point- there probably isn't a RUclipsr who can accurately assess the Lebron line. As such, critiquing something like cushion in the shoe is a) sort of a "duh" and b) kind of like knocking a sports car for having a stiff suspension...not really fair to mark a product down for having a characteristic that's integral to what makes it what it is.
tall or heavy, im only 6'3 but im 225 and my favorite shoes are brons to hoop in, u should check out the og crazy explosive low top primeknit pair also, the boost is substantial
Got them. When they did the 15s they were moving back to my fav basketball shoe of all time and it’s the lebron 10. Too much lateral instability curtailed play time in those. The 15 PE were more secure and better with lateral stability. In both went 1/2 size down. The 16s got everything right except for two things. Fit. Sloppy in the toe box likely due to Lebron feet falling apart and he needed a loose toe box. 1/2 size down might fix it. I’ll do it on the next color way. In store fit does not tell you about on court fit. Toe box is a bit whack. Second issue is the insole. After the first day out they came and I put some semi custom insoles and they are waaaay better. Battle knit 2 is great. Stability is great. Traction very good. Bred color way is nice. These have more use casually as well. I still love the 10 PE with carbon fiber heel counter. This will not overtake the upgraded 10s (I’m not referring to the regular 10s) , but will get considerable court time. Very accurate review JH. Keep up the good work.
I wear a 10 but it felt too big and empty so I got the 9.5 and I feel like Im chilling. That traction and cushion is something serious. I played 4 hours uninterrupted and my knees and legs felt good.
I always cop a size 12, in these I got an 11.5, they do run a little long, I think if you have a narrow to medium width foot you are gonna have room. If you have a wide foot, like I do on my right foot, then they are fine and you could go Tts or down half a size. They are kinda heavy but overall super dope to Ball in
I really want you to do a video with a Brannock foot measuring device, watched a whole bunch of your videos, and read a couple of comments below, about size and fit, On these and you saying about wearing 10.5 on kyries and kobes but on this years versions you still talk about space in them.
The Kobe AD NXT 360's are the only Kobe's that I've ever had to go down half a size. Everything else is a 10.5. All of my Nike running shoes fit 10.5. All my Under Armour shoes (besides the Curry 3), fit me 10.5. Am I missing anything here?
I had to return these today. The big problem for me wasn't the toebox but the heel. Worn for about a week and the heel slippage still won't fix, even I laced them real tight thru those bottom eyelets. With heel and ankle won't lock-in, the impact infected my knee which giving me a bad experience. Also the mid-sole is very inconsistent, some pairs feel really bouncy(the one that I tried on in store) but the others feel super stiff(the one that I get). I love the shoe but I had to hate them.
JAHRONMON So my current rotation is: Under Armour Curry 3Zero 2(tts), DRose 9(half size down), Harden Vol 2(tts) and Kobe 1 Protro(tts). I also play in kyrie 4s and Jordan 32 lows sometimes. Oh and I really appreciate your reply
Definitely go a size down maybe 2. I usually wear a 11 but went to 10.5. Depending on the socks u wear it can feel little lose but with the nike cushion socks the 10.5 fits like a glove.
so would u say these are wider in the forefoot than the lebron 15 and kyrie 4? I have wider foot and kyrie 4 fit narrow. please answer before i cop. would love extra width in forefoot.
lol people hating in the comments about his issues with the fit . Like he said sometimes you cant get a good fit in certain shoes , if you go down half a size for length then the fit can be to tight . If you go up half a size for width or anything they might be too long . And thats great because its better to have more than 1 review to go off , watch a few reviewers and you know what fit they have so you can hear different things to look out for fit wise . I have a high instep but not wide feet so sometimes if I hear about a show being hard to put on ie: jordan 33 I know I might need to go up half size , and then the length might be too long witch they were . Leaving me at I cant play in jordan 33's simple . So to me I would "complain" about the fit if I just spent $265 (cad) and say I had to order my pair if no shops bring them in locally . So just dont take 1 review and run with it watch a few different size performance reviewers and see what the general consensus is . Im pretty sure Jahronmon knows how his shoes should fit him just think how many reviews he done lol . I would thank him for being %100 honest about all aspects of the shoe , he never says to not buy them or try them he is just giving you his experience with them , and now if you go try a pair on in a shop you have a few POSSIBLE things to look for
