FYI If you already have the "marching ants" just press CMD + shift + I or Ctrl + shift + I to Select Inverse, with no need to select any other tool. Also if you use the Pen tool, you can change from Path to Shape, remove the fill and already have the border that you can change in color and width, and still use it as a selection. And to create the dark color, you can create a new Solid Color Layer, make it black, change the blending mode to Multiply and reduce the opacity to whatever you like. Takes less time this way 😅

Great video. Exact same how I do it and then just program it an action after getting pen lines and include the wording layer in the action.

Do you apply this technique to every aerial photograph or do you select only one image for viewers to identify the specific property you are referring to?
Typically I only use this technique for one image delivered(the hero shot) and put a simple label on the property for all the others.
Do you do tutorials on this subject matter using Adobe Illustrator or just Photoshop?
Unfortunately I do not. I have some Illustrator and InDesign abilities, but not near enough to actually teach about them.
