  • Hello RUclips family! Bae and I set sail on Wonder of the Seas March 12-19, 2023. Watch my video for a recap of our time aboard. This video includes a walk through of the ship, balcony room tour, excursions, and some fun in between. Read below for some of my proc and cons for this ship.
    Pros:
    1. Embarkation time (10 minutes to get on the ship. 11:30 arrival time)
    2. Huge ship
    3. Pretty good food
    4. Room service took no more than 1 hour for delivery
    5. Midnight curfew strictly enforced for children
    6. Smooth process for disembarkation (took maybe 15 minutes)
    Cons:
    1. It seemed that the staff was a bit overwhelmed. Perhaps there is a bit of staffing issues to accommodate the increased number of passengers on the biggest ship in the world?
    2. ALOT of unsupervised children. Went during spring break, perhaps just bad timing.
    3. Room service screwed up my order 2/3 times I ordered
    4. Drinks are expensive. I’d highly recommend the drink package. ($14 for a strawberry daiquiri.)
    5. Sanitizing stations are no longer enforced.
    6. The bands that performed weren’t the best. All of their music had a slow drag to it. yawns
    7. Shifting itinerary
    8. Largely resembled the (much cheaper) Allure of the Seas Ship

I just disembarked from the WOS and the new menu’s on the MDR were horrible. The food on the Windjammer was of very poor quality and I felt that the service that we are all used to is no longer there. The food was terrible and most of the times cold. I have been on many RCCL cruises and this is the first time I have made a negative comment. I was on a B2B and only the specialty dinning was good. The cruiseline is moving towards the MSC model, so if you want anything better then you have to pay for it. On the second formal the lobster looked more like a tiger shrimp. I would have been pissed if I would have paid $16.99 plus a service charge of 18% for such a small lobster tail. I am planning my next B2B but it probably won’t be on RCCL. Don’t get me wrong, the ship is beautiful and the staff is amazing but unfortunately Royal Caribbean doesn’t care anymore about the quality that we have become used to. I feel that I paid for steak and instead got chicken. I rather go in a cheaper cruiseline and pay for premium food than pay for a premium cruise and get lesser quality. Also, both my wife and I had the drink package and I feel that they are watering down the drinks. It is just simple math especially when passengers are drinking all day but no one is drunk. I usually get lightheaded with 2 drinks at home, and I had two double shots and a martini and I didn’t feel a thing. There is something going on here. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Lot’s of information out there by reputable travel sites that are saying the same as I am about the quality of food.

Hey! I am on wonder of the seas in July, where did you get the $10 wristbands from? On ship? Amazon? They seem very useful and worth the money.

Hey! I got them on the ship. They definitely came in handy and they can be reprogrammed for use on other Royal Caribbean cruises
