Oh, for a captioned translator! Today I heard her singing in addition to drumming. She’s wonderful! We should hear more from her. More kudos to Joan Chamorro for helping to develop another generation of talent. ❤❤❤❤❤
I don't understand much of what Abril is saying here but I appreciate listening to her talk about what is near and dear to her. Also, in this video she seems to be at least 17-18 years old. When It comes to Abril Sauri, I'm a real fan!!!
Serían muy amables si doblan al español esta conversación, se me hace muy interesante lo que expresa Abril y no logro comprender sus ideas. Disculpen las molestias que cause esta petición. Gracias, saludos desde México.
Sadly the auto translate is fairly useless. Abril has in recent times been playing guitar but have also seen her back on the drums. All the best to her whatever she does! She is a very talented young woman both on drums and with her singing (not to mention her work on trumpet and guitar) Here is a taste: ruclips.net/video/T9_x09c-Xd8/видео.html and more recently: ruclips.net/video/77JzuDzhV3I/видео.html
Does anyone know when this was recorded? I have seen Abril's age given as anything from 12 to 16 in 2015. Not really important compared with her brilliance as a drummer (and singer), but bad information always drives me up the wall.
I'd take the publication date here as very close to the recording date - it's a TV channel, living on actuality! Thus /methinks that she's born in 2002 and was 14 at the end of 2016, as noted! That corresponds to her Jamboree appearances (also 2016) - I suspect that the minimum legal age to perform there is 14. It also makes her departure from SAJB astounding: 2018, (barely?) 16! Chamorro's older music videos always made it difficult to set a date, because they often were (and are) significantly delayed. Sometimes, you find a note in the description, but more often not. I've become used to take any hint of a CD number plus 2009 into account: "Jazzing 5" => recorded not later than 2014. Cheers, Paul, distant follower from Germany
@@paulsj9245 The video is an interwiew made by the local TV of her village, Arenys de Munt, a village located about 40/50 kms. north of Barcelona, near the sea. A pity she left the band so early, I would have loved a CD of the series "Joan Chamorro presenta", whith Abril. Anyone knows the reasons she left SAJB? In the interwiew she says she feels very happy there.
@@martisian Thanks for the explanation! It shows that the zone of origin of the pupils is bigger than I thought. I have no information on her reasons to leave, but in some of the later takes she sometimes doesn't look too lucky, and her next project "Blue Ride" put her in new positions and took off to quite differing styles, blues and rock. Anyway, she's an amazing young lady!
Wonderful Abril.

@@paulsj9245 Abril is born in December 2001.
@@PerttiHaikonen47 Good info! That makes her "almost 15" = 14 when the documentary/interview was published.
