I will add the fragrance to my collection of fragrances. I am a huge fan of Guerlain fragrance and I love L’Homme Ideal Cologne. I bought 5 or 6 50ml bottles a few years ago when the price was super low because I love the fragrance. I see the fragrance now selling for ridiculous prices.

So when I heard about the latest releases, this and Habit Rouge Prive, I really excited and just counting the days when it will be available here in the US. Now that you’ve had this ideal plaintive Prive for a couple weeks now and had time to get it multiple wearing’s what is your opinion on it? How similar is it to ideal Cologne and is it redundant it to own both? I listened to this review but a first impression isn’t quite enough to examine the full development of a fragrance. Is the opening, mid, and dry down over a 7-10 hour time frame any different than the opening, mid and dry down of ideal cologne? How long does it project before it becomes a skin scent? How long is the longevity? Would love to see more full and depth reviews instead of first impressions!
If you own Cologne, makes no sense to purchase Platine Privé. They are very similar, only that Platine will last longer on my skin/clothes. I spoke in the video about the longevity, around 7-8 hours later was still projecting well. I see robes08 doing long format reviews and he is great at them. I will consider the suggestion, thanks.
Hey Diego, many thanks ! I was wearing them both in the last week and honestly I cannot smell any difference from one to another. Maybe Cologne is slightly more citrussy. So I would say it is equal to before ? Hope this helps :)
They knew that cologne was popular and they discontinued it on purpose. The only thing is that it was cheap. Now they have rebranded it puting a black bottle to create a sense of luxury, they put the name prive and they sell it way more expensive...

Hey my friend, I forgot to mention this aspect in the video, but I do believe that if you have the L´Homme Ideal Cologne still and it has not gone bad, it makes not much sense to get yourself the new release. Of course, it´s an individual choice, I will gladly have both in the collection because the scent DNA is awesome and if Platine is really limited, then both Cologne and this one are gone.
Depends what perfumes you are used to. I sprayed 3 times in the morning before recording, was still noticeable at around 9 in the evening. It's not a Monster but also not too weak (for me) 😀

That price is absurd for a designer Guerlain.
100% .. under 100 USD is ok, keeping the inflation in mind. Over, is too much. However, Cologne gets big bucks, too, as a discontinued fragrance.
