Hello Robert and Lita, I believe Blue Beacon can power clean your engine and frame, oil leaks suck, everything sticks to any oil on your engine and frame, and just builds up . thanks for making video's for us rockin chair gear jammers, safe travels and good luck.
I was just at the Tennessee TS a few weeks ago and they were still working on it so it wasn’t open yet…WOW, what a great remodel/rebuild. Thanks for showing all the inside.
Robert I Live here in Foley Alabama. You will only be able 20 Minute’s from Orange beach Alabama and Gulf shores Alabama. You guys should eat at Lambert Cafe. Awesome food there in Foley
Great content and good luck to you guys going forward. I'd keep a whole set of filters/fuel/oil on board along w/ filter wrenches and several gallions of oil. A box of Scott's shop towels, also.
Common problem on isx and x15 that filter has to be tight I tightened them 1/2 to 3/4 past hand tight with a wrench. If it’s not tight it will eventually fall off I’ve heard of it happening on these
I use to change my own oil on all my vehicle's but at 72 I just can't do it any more, there is a family owned Quick Change I use now and they do a good job and I can watch them If I like. You might have a pin hole in that Filter and can't see it they're all made in China anyway even the Cummins filters. take care Be Safe.
I was just thinking the same thing ! - Back in the late 70's, one of our our fuel stops, driving for Clay Hyder of Auburndale, Fla. was in Adairsville, Ga. ! - What a dump that was...
What up Lita and Robert , I would call them up who done the oil change and I would tell them what happened and then since that truck was so clean underneath , I would take that truck to a detail shop and what they have is a steam cleaner , One dude runs it , and what he will do is lift the truck up and he will clean that truck all pretty for you , and he's going to charge you and that is when you tell them wannabes mechanics that you have to pay the note for the damage that you done , but they will steam clean that truck like they are going to paint it for you , I would not want a bunch of filthy oil underneath , I do not let clowns work on my truck, no oil changes absolute nothing I do everything on my own because it's done correct and it is done precise , them are my too main words in trucking correct and precise good luck You two be safe out there take care yourselves
If you want anything Done Right you got to Do it yourself, Bro if you wouldn't of caught that when you did you would be Replacing an engine, I would Definitely let that place know they screwed up and they owe you a free oil change and I would Definitely Baby sit the next guy that changes your oil, you need to get some coil Racks for your Dunage to sit inside of them so your Dunage Doesn't kick out on you when your hauling coils.
Robert, I am glad you were able too come up with where the oil came from. Looking forward to the next video. Maybe you will be home then. You guys stay safe out there 🙏 ❤️.
The Tennessean Travel Stop was one of my favorite stops because of their restaurant. Delicious BBQ. I haven't been there since 2016. I agree it's looks like a great place for a 34 hour reset. For oil changes Supertrucker Dan stops frequently at Joe's Truck Lube, I-57, 111 Outer Belt West, Effingham, Illinois 62401. The reviews are good and it rates 4.9 out of 5.0. You may want to check it out. Safe travels. 😊
Hey Robert I've been in the industry for 40 yrs I always done our fleet maintenance at the family business in my early teens then started drivin at 16 with a cdl bought my own truck and still took care of the fleet plus another smaller company on the weekends some of these places like loves hires some of the dumbest people who don't even no what they're doing i've seen it at FedEx as well. Yer best ta do yer own work if at all possible. Stay Safe guys keep em turnin.🇺🇸👍🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
Talk about the roads, I thought I was going to get shaking baby syndrome on 10E in Beaumont yesterday. Also last week on 30W between Little Rock and Texarkana
I read a comment on Next Door Ap, a lady went to get an oil change for her Mercedes Benz and when the husband came out the next day, all the oil was on the driveway down to the drainage. The driveway is stained with oil and it's pavers which she has to replace and the Home Owners Association has fine her, all because of 20 min oil change and the work ethic in this Country has declined. When I had my semi, every weekend I did the service, or the pm when it was due.
Short and sweet video today. The truck stop was very nice hope it didn’t spoil you two because karma tells me the next one could be a cesspool but let’s hope not. Hope you get to swing by the house and see if it’s still there. Safe tripping.
I have had filter stud come lose and it was 3 weeks after a service. Everything was good when I stopped for night and got up next morning and it started leaking as a was walking around the truck
Think I would be raising hell with that lube shop. Wasn’t cheap and could have been major damage and inconvenience if you hadn’t noticed it yourself. Even rough roads shouldn’t affect filter if CORRECTLY tightened/fitted. I would recommend checking that old o-ring has not been left in place. 🤔🇺🇦👍🇺🇦👍🏴
Compass Travel Center in Demotte Indiana on 65 is pretty nice too. Huge drivers lounge.. full restaurant and convenience store galore. Another restaurant/bar across street... And el cheapo fuel!!!
My wife’s car oil filter was left loose at oil changing shop !! Close enough for her to take back to shop !! Son’s truck oil filter also left loose,,,but different shop!!! That was all at their ast oil change.. Son’s shop where he went had several people with same problems. Today s workforce does not know the basics to properly their Job !!
I'm surprised it started leaking after 3000 Miles. Hopefully, they didn't leave the gasket up there and double gasket it. I have seen owner-operators do worse.
also, some mfg's are using a round silica rubber oil filter ring. the round ring if not totally dry when installed, will slide around & leak..... U need to make sure U'r oil filter gasket is a ''flat'' one! not ''round''. round is a pain! good luck! 😁💪nice places to wish upon a star from! oh look? it's BBC! blimy! truck stops are far better than airports! geez!
I would definitely raise hell for sure when you do an oil change you make sure and tighten down rhe oil filter. I am not a mechanic and even i know that is conmon sense. In my opinion the Tennessee Travel stop was an incredible place. I dont think truckers should have to pay for showers at all. In my opinion paying 13 dollars for a shower there that is kept clean and everything definitely worth it.
When my wife rode on the truck with me, I would ask for a co driver shower. Most places would give me a free second shower. Just do we could have our own space. Have you added any bumper pads to back of trailer yet? To stop bending brackets.
I had someone leave the original gasket from the oil filter they took off. Luckily, I caught it right away. The truck was running, n I saw the oil leak.. had them fix it right away.
That truck stop burned down a few years ago then rebuilt. I havent been to the new place yet but i hope they still have them smoked bologna sammiches, they were awesome.
The oil drained back down into the oil pan most likely why you got a different read than previous, it's sad we pay so called professionals to do a job and that's the crap they do, I had a kid put the print on the fuel water separator in the wrong spot and nearly cost me over 3500 in unneeded parts still cost, thankfully another shop actually did his job and listened to me and did some trouble shooting instead of throwing parts that was unneeded.

I've been watching u2 for sometime and find ur closer is creative and fun.

Dang. Looks a lot different than the old one. Hope the food is still as good
You need a clip from step brothers about “so many activities!” For the shower scene 😂
Wassup
Great viedo,love your guys viedos❤
That red and white truck on the dock was a Blueway truck! I used to drive for them.
I was just at the Tennessee TS a few weeks ago and they were still working on it so it wasn’t open yet…WOW, what a great remodel/rebuild. Thanks for showing all the inside.
Great pic of the dogs at the end of the vid....

Thank you
Your very welcome Robert!
Hopefully you got your oil leak fixed?
Drive safely!

Awesome truck stop
Get some brake clean that takes it off good .Good luck.
Yeah, I do all my own oil changes. Helps that I built a pit because I got tired of crawling under trucks. Glad it was something simple!!!

🤣 "What did ya get us daddy?"
Its amazing how much your trailer comes up with each pick they did of those coils.
I haul coils all the time and it still amazes me how! I’ve got a 46k coil right now
Dumping the air in the truck and trailer helps with that. Plus it's easier on airbags and brakes too.

Robert, you are going to "LA" lower Alabama !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Close to Redneck Riviera!
Thank you for a new video and Hello from New Hampshire
Oil is like blood looks worse than it is when leaking.
Robert you doing 34 I agree great looking place
nice to find nice clean places that appreciate truck drivers
If you would have had a way to dispose of the oil, my guess you would have changed it yourself. Hmm. Have good days!
Robert that oil change makes up you want to maintain your truck yourself I can not blame you safe travels dave hoover timmonsville, South Carolina
Yep check filter an plug

Hell yeah; those by-pass filters are working like they were designed to operate!!!

Check that fuel filter while your at it.

It's pretty cool to watch the weight come off your drives when they took those coils off. It just goes to show you how much those coils really weigh.
Is that Tennessee and truck stop on? I sixty five right before you get into alabama running south
Oh NO..Hope it will not be that serious after you but oil back in..Have a great day..👍😁☕️🇺🇸
what did you find wrong with your heater
A quart leaking out can make a hell of a mess when it is whipped around by the wind.
yes it can but its a great rust prevention deal!! LOL
Robert, you need to have some SouthGeorgiaHotshot business cards made up. Hand them out to customers that say they will have more loads.
We have some. Problem is people call and need it done immediately and we’re never around
Always carry extra oil and antifreeze.
would get to blue beacon or some where and get motor cleaned to make sure that is all it is.
Every time Robert says OH that will be close to the House", Lita is like AAAAAHHHHHH No Sr. you keep your butt on the Road lol
Ice Cream, Donuts, & Coffee. The 3 major food groups.

First from Ohio 👊🏻💪🏻
Fleetguard oil filter requires an additional 3/4 of a turn for.the Cummins. You have to use a filter wrench to get it that tight.
Hopefully just loose filters
That truck stop looks amazing! I’ve done a lot of 10hr stops there but not since they re-opened
I hope they still have their smoked bologna sammiches there. You ever eat them? Pretty awesome
Its always very important to check the oil after some numb nuts work on your Truck
Check for a loose oil filter.
I have had filter stud come lose and it was 3 weeks after a service. Everything was good when I stopped for night and got up next morning and it started leaking as a was walking around the truck
You came thru my neck of the woods when you went thru the Decatur area.

Rough roads should not loosen an oil filter. Those dufus oil changers just screwed up. Just can't find people that give a flip.
I would run like hell if I seen that dude or any dude in my bathroom or shower

Yeah had same issue. Place didn’t tighten the oil filter. 🤬
Just fyi, your trailer is distributing the weight perfectly. When those coils were lifted your trailer came up evenly with no flex.
speedco did the same to me once on my brand new 389 pete I have never done a pm on the road since
Make sure they don’t leave the old gasket either.

Good to wear that hard hat in the building to protect you in case one of those coils falls on you. 🤣
Do you really think a hard hat would offer any protection against a falling coil?

I need to come up with something for it
@@SouthGeorgiahotshotIt's a great intro ! I'd just keep what ya got.
next time y'all are Foley, Al make sure you stop at Lambert's (home of the tossed rolls they throw them at you )

Aren’t you supposed to use coil racks?
Don't blame yourself or the roads. The oil change place f..you up.
If they left the old ring off the old filter in the filter base and then installed new that could be the problem and is certainly a problem
👍👍👍🇺🇸
Just ate half rack of ribs AND still starving 🤷🏻♂️
so how long do you think it will take the bumms to totally destroy that nice truck stop and dont be misleading mrs lita about some thing massive lol
Well Robert look at it this way, with all that running your doing up north in that salt the oil will help with that rusting!
Chill dude could be the filter could have double gaskets r be loose
That place will be a dump within a year.
You pay good money and expect good work.OIl change tech is probably making $25.00 an hour and he is worth $5.00 an hour.
Change your own oil why would you pay some one to do it
That truck stop is brand new.used not to be so nice .
