Hey Liza! I got this aloe juice at my local Walmart but not sure if it’s about the same as yours, I want to give that tip a try. Also I found one type of witch hazel for making some refreshing spray for my hair between washes. But it’s not the same as I’ve had before which I now can’t find. I have pictures do both but not sure how you could approve my product lol
If you like spicy scents, cloves are a great addition to a spray! I steep whole cloves in boiled water and strain them out after 3-4 hours. I keep this in a spray bottle for my scalp and dreads, as it is strengthening, and softening. It also feels nice on my scalp! I will try adding aloe juice to my regime, that sounds like a great idea.
The aloe juice is no lie! i use it as she describes here every time I wash... life-changing. It really, really works to add softness, and it rinses very clean. Super easy to use and makes a big difference. Thank you Liza~
@@LalolaleIt is a "rinse" by design in that you can dilute it with warm water and then pour it in, and then rinse it through. Just a rinse, does not need washing out. I would not do it often, maybe once every other month or so depending on hair type
Thank you for taking the time and detail to share your videos! I just re-did my dreadlocks after having them off n on for 8 years, I didn't know how to care for them in the past n kept starting over. Used you're crochet methods and currently making my own extensions! I ll have beautiful long lasting dreads finally!
Thank you! You definitely want to make sure to dilute your essential oils in a carrier oil before you add them to the water. I know it's a lot of water but when the oils come out they still contact skin at 100% since they aren't able to mix with the water. So even if it's a microdrop, it's still a fully concentrated microdrop and that can cause irritation, sensitization, and burns. 0.5% is a good general rule but some you want even lower than that
Thank you so much for posting this video. I've had my locs for almost 3 years and have noticed they are getting harder as they mature. Ive been using Aloe Vera juice. Almond oil, Avocado oil, Rosewater, Eucalyptus Oil, Tea Tree Oil and I only co-wash my hair every 2 weeks sometimes 3. I use a Tea Tree and Lemon Sage Conditioner. This video is so helpful. I will start trying these products, hopefully they will work for my hair as well.
I love making my own sparays and oils too. I often use neroli and ylang ylang along with tea tree, champa blossom and lemon. So many wonderful aromas 😊
Before I started my journey, I ordered all these goodies after watching your Favorite Things video 100x! I also use the Wired and Stoned oil-super nice. I have yet to use the aloe juice though, I keep forgetting I have it haha.
Liza Jayne Tried the aloe this morning... omg. It’s a beautiful thing!! Also, with the sprays - are you using them for just a certain period of time before making a new batch? I’ve had my same mixture for the last few weeks and I’m like.. does this get old and not good for the hair after a while?
Megan DesRochers as long as you use distilled water it should be fine but I feel even better now adding the leucidal sf oil! We make ours every 2-3 months. 💕 isn’t the aloe juice wonderful?!?
Sadly I had 8 dreads... and had to take them out. I'm trying this by myself, so your videos really help, I think maybe if I prep before hand it would help. Thank you for your help on this, definitely taking notes! Thank you lovely😊
I do use conditionner on my extensions. I also use essential oil sprays. Since you got me hooked on Nag Champa I have to say it has surpass the lavender smell I have cherish for so many years. I may try that apricot oil, sounds nice ❤️🤍
This is such an awesome and fun channel. On the nit side, shiver, when my kids were young in school we had an out break of those little buggers. So after hubby freaked and used chems. Ugh. Our health centre told me to keep this under control, to every time I washed their hair to use lots of conditioner, lots,,, and comb wet conditioned hair with nit comb and wipe on paper towel to dispose of in garbage. They still got to play in tub while I did this. Never had them again. Whew. Anyways sorry for length. Chatty, chatty. But this helped my and their psychy (sic) tremendously. Blessings 🙏🏼🍁🇨🇦🧙🏼♀️🌊🛶😜
I've made the everyday hair spray for myself and use it weekly!! This past week i just got the aloe juice to try (looking for something like a conditioner or to make my locs softer) and so this morning i made the oil! I actually had a glass dropper bottle left from my crafting station and I have all the oils except nag champa (not sure what it smells like tbh). Just made the dreadlock oil and I LOVE IT ALREADY! The aprocot kernal oil definitely helps! ( i was ussing caster oil in my sprays but its more for skin than hair). So thank you!

I use a mix of baby shampoo and some argan oil shampoo i also pop in 3 drops of tea tree essence (i mix them into a bottle and leave it by shower till empty and then refill) i used to use head and shoulders but i kept getting such a horrible itchy scalp! I think it was some product build up a lil bit but iv recently found that the change to this shampoo mix has made my hair smell amazing!! My head hasnt itched in about 2 weeks now! 🎉 but it works for me!

Anyway, I locked my own hair, but want it fuller so I’m searching for how to add extensions to existing locs. I use Young Living essential oil’s because I know they’re the real deal. You should try them! I’d love to help you get set up!
I just got my locks. I was so Happy to finally begin my journey but I'm so disappointed in myself. I don't think I can handle the itchy scalp so I washed them after 6 10 days. They look awful now. 😖 I'm going to remove them sadly 😥

Someone help! I'm doing the oil treatment in her video but my extensions are still so rough and itchy! They are human hair what should I be doing?! They are new, just about a week!
Do you make extensions?. I dye mine a lot and right now I'm about to be stripping my hair of the blue and going natural again and keeping it that way hopefully for a while... My question is do you sell extensions?
Would this work on synthetic locs as well? Specifically the ones made from kanekalon? The ones I have installed are double ended and are rough and not very soft at all and kind of stuff. Any ideas on how to help those issues?
Question. I have always made a bug spray with the exact same oil blend you do (peppermint/tea tree/rosemary) but I use with hazel as my base. Could I use this with my dreads as well? or is with hazel bad for hair and I should instead use the distilled water as my base with my hair. thank-you!!
Thanks for the tips! I just bought a bunch of synthetic dreads that I am trying to soften up before I get them installed- so when I wash my hair once they are installed I should use the aloe Vera instead of conditioner?!
Unfortunately it wouldn’t be good for the synthetics. It wouldn’t hurt them (I did it when I had some for volume) but it certainly doesn’t help them. Have your synths been steamed?
Am I doing it wrong? My locs are still sort of brillopad-ish. Locs are one year old. Washing about once a week. The aloe doesn’t seem to soften them. Argh... Yours look beautiful by the way!
