Yo I saw you take out those black and white wires, but you didn't show where they came from, at about 6:40. I need to reassemble it but I am not sure where those are at.. Tips?
+regazzz It appears that they are the wires to the webcam, as I had wifi access when I was cleaning out the bloatware. I am just uncertain as go where the connections are, and I cannot find any obvious spots. Would you know where the webcam hooks up to the mobo? I appreciate the response, considering the last comment was a month ago haha.
i have a question for this exact netbook. The screen started flickering and either the cpu or video fan started to make that loud noise. What could it be? thermal compound not enough or replaced fan?

Yes probably because it’s a 11 year old laptop and it died because of old age, I found this laptop in the trash and with a cracked screen a few months and finally decided to take the ram and hard drive out, or your laptop died because the screen may have cracked but not visible

Is the Acer 5253's CPU soldered onto the motherboard? I have a 5253 with a C-50 and I was planning to take apart the laptop to upgrade the cpu to a E-350, but I read that it was soldered. thanks
there are some Acer 5253 with an integrated CPU and some without. First of all you need to find out what exact model of laptop is and maybe check for a processor in your specs. You should see an exact name of a processor in System Properties.
regazzz Thanks, I found it. I was searching for bracket, not a caddy. Because I thought caddy was the HDD holder that goes in place of the optical drive. Turns out it's for both.

There is no huge possibilities to make some laptop faster. More memory. Better CPU if it is changeable. SSD Drive.

WD Scorpio Blue is a hard drive.
