I really like the Pickle pie Lady because she doesn’t claim the pie is revolutionary, or that it tastes amazing, or that she can only make the pickle pie and nobody else, she’s just talking about a unique dish that they serve and acknowledges the fact that people order the pie not because it tastes amazing, but because of curiosity. Why is there a government ordinance to modernize how soy sauce is made? I thought Japan embraced its traditions.
I understand wanting to produce more faster, but if people want to be allowed to produce it the traditional way, I don't think the government should be allowed to say they can't do it that way.
