It’s dark, but that’s vibes, mate ;) I guess a good alternative to this but make it Rome 2 would be Empire Divided? It’s not 100% the same, but it’s a bit close with banditry and a divided Roman Empire in a “darker” time than Rome 2 grand campaign
Yep, Attila's campaign map is just gross compared to Rome 2. Don't know how they messed it up so badly. TBH everything graphics related is just better in Rome 2, from how it looks to how it performs. It's a shame because Attila is a pretty good game too.
this is a cool video thanks for the info and cool mods. was thinking about getting it but didnt know if i would like it bc im used to the newer graphics now a days but after seeing it improve that much i might actually play it now.
Sorry for late response. Baktria are very cool faction but for now may i suggest you play ancient empire mod then choose baktria XD, This is best mod for my opinion . Just so happy in 2021 there's still some people care about "total war attila" and keep doing some awesome stuff and dope video. Anyway great video, I'm so enjoy to watch your video, especially about total war attila. Thank you once again :D.
Never heard of GEMFX... looks nice. But does this turn the Performance of Vanilla attila further down? I mean... it’s an improvement but seems to utilize more VRAM. Or am I wrong?
I think the performance loss with the settings I’m using is about 1-3 fps. It’s not really noticeable in-game though, but if you’re super fps starved, then it might not be for the best. I would suggest trying it though!
@@AndysTake You‘re the Man of the hour, thanks for that quick answer buddy. And what about the ingame graphics settings? I do control mine through the Radeon Software, in terms of FXAA and anti-aliasing and all that stuff. Should I turn them off both and let GEMFX do the job?
@@Wowa9305 Okay, mate. My gfx settings in game: MLAA, texture resolution ultra, texture filtering x16, shadows quality, water max quality, sky max quality, dof on, particle effects quality, ssr max, grass quality, trees max, terrain max, unit details max, building max, unit size large, unlimited video memory, saao, distortion effects, vignette and blood effects, and it’s all in 1440p. Whew.
Thanks so much for this my dude. I always thought atilla was a great game but this really takes it up a notch for a history buff. I wonder if they'll make a TW for the South Asian-Central Asian- South East Asian setting
Hi! You’ll have to be more specific here, I’m afraid, I’m not sure I understand the question? :) there are VERY few games (and I don’t even know if any exist), where you can play battles between the Roman Empire (this would be the Eastern Roman Empire) and the first caliphate created around 6-700AD.

Great video. Is there a way to do the same with battles? That would be very useful as I find them to look quiet arcade-y. M2tw battles look the best in my opinion

oh really? Nice, I already had natural water mod on, but didnt know it was included already :)
I wish it looked more like Rome 2. Its so bloody dark.
