Two of the most well-written and well-acted characters in TV history. The on-screen chemistry between the entire cast was second to none. This show was such a precious gem.
Hate to say it, because I found this show more moving than I ever expected, but this is the ending I think I (and many other in the audience) needed. The series ended with such an emotional roller coaster. When it was over, I felt kind of exposed and a little weary. It was hard enough to have such a wonderful show end, made harder by leaving that little aspect out of the finale. I think most of the audience had a hard time with the finale because that one piece of closure wasn't there. Fans like Chuck because there is a happy ending and the good guy does get the girl. I like to think this is what happened in that scene even though it wasn't shown in the televised version.
I really don't understand why they would do this to their loyal fans they sound have given us full closure
RandomCeltic does it leave you wanting more? does it make you think about it randomly? clearly they wanted the show to be remembered and tieing things up in a nice little bow for everyone wouldn't acomplish that.

yeah now that i think about my comment, I think people still would remember chuck even if it did give us the clear cut happy ending. I know i would still rewatch it. But i think my other points are valid. Also an ending like this sets up the possibility for things down the road say a movie or webisodes. If they gave us everything I don't think i would want a movie. And although the ending doesn't give you everything, it gives us something, a huge glimmer of hope that chucks sarah was coming back to him, and we don't need to see it to know they fall back in love memories or not.

This was a little lengthy on the memories but I wish the ending would've happening like this, some kind of flash or something in Sarahs mind of memories. It just hurts too much not to have closure. Chuck and Sarah fought so long for each other, why can't there just be a happy ending? Even if it's from a "magical kiss"...this ending just killed me, I have no idea how to feel
I know the kiss worked because in episode 9 of season 4, Sarah kisses Chuck to wake him up and save his brain even though he was "almost completely gone". While I understand the need to leave it up to the audience, just a slight indication would have been nice. Either way, this is a good video.

You know there are several possible things that happen after the black screen the kiss works, sarah slowly gets her memory back, or they just fall back in love, these would be great for a movie. For a 6th and improbable final season it could be the kiss doesn't work so Ellie and Chuck secretly start working on a new intersect made only for Sarah, that way they can continue Orions legacy and finally use the intersect for something good. and its totally possible, ellie is a neurologist and chuck is a computer wizz. I think they would of gone in this direction if they were given a sixth season. It's a shame NBC picked this show up and not a channel that knows how to support its tv programs.

This is probably the one of the best alternate endings out there if they had to give her memories back. Been a Chuckster since the beginning and this ending still gives me the chills.
Watching this was slightly better than the crappy ending in the actual episode. What a great series - i don't want it to be over!
I know the only problem with the ending is that us fans needed closure as to whether or not Sarah got her memories back. Back the positive thing in my opinion is this: if there were to be a movie Sarah would not have her memories at the start but she would then fall back in love with Chuck throughout the film, but at the end she does remember their experiences together from the past. But, if there is to be no more Chuck forever, I think the writers know that she either does get some memories back from the kiss or she decides to stay with Chuck and fall in love again. After all, she remembered the Weinerlicious and the computer virus so its implied her memories are coming back.
in an interview for ign they basically said they feel she gets her memories back, they just want the fans to create their own story of what happens after that kiss(basic summary of the interview).
This is one of my favorite shows. I really want another season.
I feel so pathetic for caring so much about these characters. I love this show sooooooooo much and I love all the characters. I didn't even see this show as a show, it was that good. Crying my eyes out at the video so hard. I wish I can someday find love like this

Ah... I just finished Chuck just now on Netflix, damn this scene was heavy to watch. Well as the screen went dark it's safe to say that Sarah remembers everything after the kiss!
+Marko Crush It's actually pretty touching. Especially when the screen gets dark, and the amazing song with the heartwarming harmonies is sung, and the only thing on the screen left is 'Chuck'.

Where is your evidence that Sarah got her memories back? Oh wait. You have no evidence. Only wishful thinking. Because the creators themselves said they ended the show ambiguously precisely to prevent any solid interpretation from being official. Everybody's interpretation is correct, which means, NONE of them are!

in the dvd Version of the episode you can see a scene where chuck want to tell sarah Their story but she Refused, but in last scene she want to hear Their story
and in the end she kissed him not because morgan's "idea" becuase she already Begins to fall for him again.

I agree to an extent, it needs to be said that Sarah isn't the same person, and won't be if she dosen't remember. She may have feelings for chuck again, but with out memories she's a CIA assassin again, not the sarah that wants a different life other than fighting crime. Chuck showed her there is more to life than mission after mission. It'll take time, you can't expect someone to change that quickly. She'll be going on missions and working for the CIA again most likely, and hopefully chuck will guide her once more... Five years of adventures togather is irreplaceable!

I'm not usually one for fan-made videos, but this one was actually done with more though than most of the others I've seen, the only minor note I have is the "Child Chuck" scene is shown despite Sarah not having anything to do with that moment at all. Other than that I actually felt that the memories accompanied by the song was almost perfection. Thank you for taking the time to do this video.

I personally am not a huge fan of the original ending, but despite that I don't even need an ending like this. The only thing I really wanted to see about their story was that they made it; my personal idea on this was that the last image we saw would be a real picture pretty much identical to the one Chuck had drawn a few episodes prior. Chuck and Sarah standing in front of her dream home holding a baby, if the show had added something along those lines I would've been perfectly ok with the way the show went down, but as is I am REAALLLYYY hoping for a movie in the near future.

Yeah I've seen the same. He is hoping to do it in kick started format and release it straight to the fans. Really hope the ideas manifest in the next year or so, don't know how long I can wait.

jcsports23 I read in an interview from '17 where he said he wouldn't make that movie anymore than 90 minutes. I hope this movie doesn't happen, it's gonna suck. You can't bring a firm resolution to this much ambiguity in a lousy 90 minutes. However, if this movie comes to pass, I just hope the issue of Sarah's memory is settled once and for all. I don't care if Sarah remains with Chuck or not, just as long as the writers cut the bullshit.
Who ever made this extended ending really knows how to hit you right in the feels. The original ending was great, bittersweet.
First: Well done. This video, to me is on par with youtube poster 'Charles Carmichael' version. I especially love the choice of music for the video.
Second: Like the aforementioned version, my only addition to the alternative ending would be at the end, the viewer would hear Sarah's voice saying "you are my home Chuck, you always have been" as it overlaps the Chuck/Sarah kissing scene that ends the episode. To me, that would be the ideal and most perfect ending.
As much as I agree with other people who are hating the original ending, I think it was alright ending. Because in the last episode, Sarah was remembering stuffs, like their carving in the house, Irene Demova etc. Plus, Sarah saw her Mission log and sort of implanted the base of her memories and at the end, Chuck told her about their stories which sort of "proved" her memories and probably she got some feelings back too because she asked Chuck to kiss her. Even though, I'm thinking this way, I still cannot get enough. I am not satisfied. Every time I watch the last episode, I'm always on the edge for crying. Don't know why, probably because I loved the show. But still, the show was great. It showed us many great episodes, lot of fun, lot of drama. I wish I could give an applause to the producers, directors, actors, actresses, the whole crew.
Watched the series for the second time now and I love the show. But I like your ending better. Thanks for that.
I think the fact she wants to know "their story" and tells him to kiss here says a lot. You have to realize in the time line, she just got finished telling him goodbye, so the fact she's asking him (and getting emotional about it) says she's ready and willing to re-discover their relationship. I actually liked the original ending.

I decided 6 months ago to start watching this on Netflix and loved it right down to this scene which you fixed.
If I had invested the five years into this like the original fans did the original ending would have left me heartbroken, When you watch a show like this you want a simple 30 extra seconds of closure. Not uncertainty.
My only problem with the ending of Chuck is that Sarah opened up a lot and started to become more trusting. That was five years of trust-building she had with Chuck and everyone else. She has to go through the heartbreak of losing Bryce all over again and forgetting the special bonding moments she had with her father. Chuck is stuck remembering a Sarah who he'd gotten to befriend and fall in love with for five years and now has to start over. He's going to keep mentioning things that five year Sarah loved, not five years ago Sarah loved. If Chuck and Ellie don't build a new intersect, I don't see this relationship working. Chuck is in love with the Sarah he grew to know, this older Sarah is going to be the same closed off Sarah from season 1 where Chuck was still in the process of learning who she was.
I can only really see two options. Either Chuck builds a new intersect, which I don't see how he couldn't, or Sarah feels to overwhelmed and runs. I think Chuck is smart enough to be able to build the new intersect and I'm sure with the intersect in his head he could build a new one. He could even get help from that one kid in like season 2 or 3 who built one. I really don't see how there is absolutely no way Chuck can't rebuild one with the help of Ellie.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank yoooooouuuu! I was beginning to think I was the only one who saw how much Sarah's amnesia had rendered just about everything null and void between her and Chuck. Yes, this new Sarah has some fragments of her previous memories but at present, they are simply not enough to guarantee that these two have a chance. And as I once said in another discussion, Sarah might decide to not only rid herself of Chuck after that kiss, she might even decide to kill him just to be on the safe side. You have to remember, Sarah is a cold-hearted assassin, not a goddamn charity worker. She fucking kills people, that's what she does for a living. When you're an assassin, you don't survive by trusting people you don't know just because once upon a time, you MAY have had some happy memories with them which you can no longer recall. In this world, you eliminate such people, lest you risk being given an early one-way ticket to the afterlife.

What makes it all the worse, however, is even if Sarah does fall in love with Chuck all over again, this Sarah will STILL be vastly different from the last Sarah who fell in love with Chuck the first time. Without Sarah's mind being restored, the things which will cause Sarah to fall in love with Chuck will not be the same as before. It doesn't matter how hard Chuck tries to replicate the experience, it's not going to be the same.
And even if it does work out, even if somehow, these two manage to make it work without Sarah's mind being restored, it will never be OUR Chuck-and-Sarah. Without a real restoration in the cards, our Chuck-and-Sarah is gone. And we won't even get to comfort ourselves over the passing of our Chuck-and-Sarah by experiencing this new Chuck-and-Sarah.
Because now the goddamn show is over >_
well he fell in love with her way before she started to change, then she feel in love with him and it was that love that made her the new sarah. She might not have her memories but you can see it from her face that she did not forget how she felt. It's acually a good ending cauz they'll get a happy ending.. she might remember everything or she dosent but falls in love with him again and goes from spy sarah to wife sarah or ellie and chuck build an intersect and give her back her memories (it should be pretty easy to build one, chuck has one in his head, ellie is smart and she has orion's computer)
Sarah might have lost her memories, but chuck made her the "future sarah" once he can do it again and this time there will be nothing stopping them and she clearly isnt the same person she was 5 years ago, she wants to be that person again and she will be, chuck still has all the qualities she fell in love with the day she met him and she is clearly falling for him again. And for all the relationships that changed, she will just have to discover them again through chucks eye, and that isnt bad at all. Its just different versions of them then original but they are still the same person, who were always perfect for each other and will be no matter what
I agree with u on some points like about bryce and her boss in cia (graham) she learned about their deaths and that was unexpected for her since the first time she learned about bryce death was when she got chuck as assignment and 2nd time she saw bryce in front of her eyes...but that being said she would have found it via chuck or some other way that she had already mourned for him even put his ashes in prague she did like him but not to an extent to leave with him as its evident in s1 that she doesn't leave with him even though she had packed her bags.....she is still angry though and pissed along with not remembering her life and being manipulated by quinn because she had always considered herself as a good spy (she would have even learned about her red test and history with shaw either f from reports or from chuck at the end....the trust issue was the main problem because she took much time to open up but she started having feelings for chuck right in s1 but had to hold herself due to the fact that chuck was an asset and she couldn't involve herself with an asset.. and those love triangles going in till mid s3 thats the reason she didn't want chuck to become spy because she didn't want him to get hurt by s3 she accepts the fact that chuck can take care of himself....so at the end sarah is bit skeptical of trusting chuck ...even though she believes that he was telling the truth she doesn't trust him and she also doubts herself that on whether she can trust her own-self that started to have a different life. Thats the reason she was avoiding to talk about their relationship because she didn't know how to believe someone elses word ...she was acting like her spy self and didn't want to get emotional..at the end she isnt cia anymore (since she left it in s4 ) and even couldn't leave Burbank ...thats when chuck tells her that to trust him and he will be there for her no matter what she decides she gets emotional seeing the hurt in chuck eyes and realizing that she had some feeling for him (chuck didn't want to force her to love him he just wanted her to trust him and figure that herself instead of running away..she needed help but wouldn't say it herself that was sarah nature before chuck) when she finally accepts his offer to trust and ask him about them there is a clear change in her mind state...this time around there is no bryce or jill or any third wheel in either of their lives so sarah has plenty of time to figure and rediscover her feelings and chuck knows everything about her things she never told anyone which would help her in many ways and able to trust him more although she would have to learn things about chuck all over again untill she remembers more about them but it will be much easier for sarah to be with him and trust him instead of being alone
I like what you did and I think that it could satisfy many as an alternate ending. However, I enjoyed the regular ending because it gives the viewer the option to decide if her memories come back "with a magical kiss" or to repeat the seasons as if he is telling their story. I'm on my 5th consecutive run of the seasons. I can't get enough of this show. The chemistry, comedic timing and physical comedy are well done by all actors. I laugh every time.
I just started watching Chuck and have gotten up to season 5. What an emotional roller coaster. I don’t want it to end. What I would like to see:
1. Chuck will never leave Sara even if she doesn’t remember him. He might give her space but he would be with her from a distance like a Guardian Angel / Stalker. I could see her continuing in the spy business but getting out of situations by mysterious means: doors opening automatically, computer screens coming on with directions, or just bad guys dropping (by dart gun) without her realizing Chuck is watching over her.
2. The final kiss: Sarah may not remember Chuck but Chuck would be so emotionally distraught that the intersect kicks back in. Remember the intersect in Chuck is suppressed not removed and in the 2nd season it was said that an emotional crisis could reboot it. The intersect itself was given to Chuck by accident as a child and his father told him, “you are special.” Special because the intersect was patterned to fit him after the disaster with patient X.
3. Sarah’s memory is retrieved by Alexei Volkoff/ Agent X Who was one of the inventors of the intersect with Chuck’s father. He along with Chuck’s sister create a device that allows for the complete removal and reboot of the brain restoring all hard drive partitions and files.
4. All of this is accomplished with the help of the General Beckman, Casey, Morgan and the Cat Squad.
I thought for sure in the final 2 episodes the intersect would be un suppressed like you said. He has always had it since he was little. He just needed to lift the rock suppressing it and i thought losing sarah might do it
Yeah, and I really didn't understand why it was canceled considering all the other shows that nbc had like do no harm boomed at the gate or revolution that was renewed in my view after the revolution was over

memory lapse making her make mistakes and Chuck following his father's footsteps becomes Orion. He goes rogue to look over Sarah.
Actually I was thinking after the kiss & the fade to back. The next scene should be Chuck & Sarah walking from the beach onto the boardwalk. After a small snack he takes her to her room (where she is most comfortable , right now) only for her to sneak back into the apartment where she sees Chuck crying for her in her sleep. Meanwhile another threat emerges that could mark the TRUE end of the world. As Sarah tries to find herself, someone still has a score to settle & will no let go. Whatcha think? BT
Should have shown her the picture he made on the bullet train. The one where she said she would never forget this. I think that's how it should have ended. Like when he shows it to her, you see her pupils dilate, then a sharp intake of breath... then they cue the scene to cut away as they start kissing. This is a pretty good alternative ending too.
I think she eventually got her memory back because it was starting to come back. She remembered the carving. Wasn't easy, was hard work, but they got back to where they were eventually. Also think Chuck remained a spy, was Sarah's partner, and like I said, they slowly got back to where they were before Sarah's memory was wiped.
this was probably one of the most amazing tv shows i have ever watched i totally agree that they need to make another season or at least one special episode i never thought that it would end up like this from the 1st season but i am so glad it did who agrees
Well said, i loved the series and although the ending was left somewhat aburptly, i still loved it.
+Joshua Mah I like it it's got good action, comedy and characters but the only issue ties into this when this show gets dark it goes all out and can really darken the tone the scene with Chuck's mind being wiped by the scientists and Sarah being tortured by the flash cards especially

alainab_14 Rujipas Srisutdee I just finished this show and I looked up what everyone else thought of the ending and everyone agrees with your opinion. I always pictured the show ending with them moving into their dream house and them having Ellie, Devon, Morgan, Casey (him on the phone talking to Gertrude wishing she was there), Alex, and all the other characters that were featured in the show (mary, mike, jeff, etc). And then Sarah pregnant while Chuck is talking to her and he asks Chuck: "So, what's the plan?" Sarah: "Well, give her or him the life they deserve. Just like I want for Molly I want for our kid. Prom, Morp, everything. We just need to be there." Chuck: "Well, do we tell our kid the truth." Sarah: "Always, remember, no secrets." And then the camera zooms out of the house, a dog runs up to Chuck and Sarah, and everyone is laughing and having fun while a soundtrack plays. I pictured it ending like that for awhile, and I'm surprised they ended it how they did. Really interesting.... kind of the worst ending I've ever seen. It even tops Oculus, and that ending made me go nuts. I think overall, the last season period sucked. Morgan getting the intersect, Shaw returning, Casey going to jail. I don't know if just the makers of the show changed for season 5, but it was horrible. It was like it was different people writing the show (which is kind of funny, in 5 years everyone changed :P).

THANK YOU...I Thank you with all my heart, Chuck and Sarah's was one of the best and most heartfelt love stories imho and the ending simply broke my heart and left me floundering for something, anything. Your ending helped ease some of the pain that the brutal original ending left me with. Thank You so much. Hope Chuck & Sarah get a movie one day :)

Ok, I'm a little late to this party. Mainly because Josh Schwartz means The O.C and Gossip Girl to me before this, hence why I've avoided his work. Chuck was a nice show, slightly flawed but entertaining. Great chemistry between the leads and support too.
I had to watch this twice to decide but, in my humble opinion, I think the original ending is better. There's too much going on in this (by that I mean too many superfluous cuts, not to mention jarring editing styles) that doesn't add anything to the poignant moment when Sarah asks Chuck to kiss her.
For me the moment she asks him to kiss her is Sarah not only wanting to remember their lives but accepting that she could love Chuck all over again regardless of whether she remembers or not. Those two simple words tell me everything about their arc without the need for another two minutes of flashbacks.
I just watched The Vow & I guess it is based on real life, but at the end of the movie he was wanting her to fall in love with him again & she was open to that. They said they fell in love, got married, had kids, but she still never got her memory back of their time together.
Guys the ending wasn't bad sure it was sad that Sarah lost her memories but she was getting them back slowly Ex. rearranging the wiener cups, and the Irene Demova Virus, plus the fact that she went back to the beach where she went to talk to Chuck and the end of episode 1. and that kiss at the end was not some little peck on the lips they were making out. When you see that you just know Sarah's memories were coming back albeit slowly. But like Chuck and Sarah said they don't need the white house with the red door as long as they have each other memories or not.
Yes thats what i felt...she said him to kiss him..it wasnt a desperate attempt kiss it was the way she said kiss me in affectionate way...she listened to him.. laughed cried things chuck knows about her are that he might be the only to know them so she knew at the end that her feelings were still there and that wasn't just a kiss it was like they were really in it...might have not triggered all her memories but enough...she left saying she wants to find herself but ended up at the beach because something held her back. Morgan was right about that so i believe he was right about this if not immediately but by gradually.. chuck says that this was the place were she told him to trust her and now h3 wants her to trust him which she does at the end together they can figure a way out...(chuck is an intersect even if she doesn't get the whole memory back he will find a way out with ellie)
Chuck got his memories back from a kiss it will be unfair if she didn't get hers back. Plus Morgan's idea of getting back memory always works
anything is better than the original ending. i wish sarah just could've been treated before she lost her memory. she is the character I've felt the most emotional about in any snow and all i really was for her to be happy. and they screwed that up. i really just wish the last episode was them giving up the spy life for good and revealing all their secrets. not Chuck having to make up 5 years of memories with his wife. i actually rewrote the entire last few episodes i was so mad

I actually think the original ending was good. Sure, i wanted Sarah to obtain all her memories back, but the open ending makes it more emotional. They have another chance at a relationship again, but chuck will have to fill in the blanks. Telling someone what they did in the past and actually remembering the times and feelings they had.. Sure, maybe chuck sparks a memory, who knows. Think about losing every day with chuck and all the missions and adventures for 5 years. That's irreplacable, and probably the most emotional scene that ive ever seen.

That was better then the original. I fires i have to take it for what it is and assume she got her memory back. I was hoping we would get something along the lines of they stop kissing and she says "my Chuck..." or "i remember..." something like that.

This is entirely possible within the story line. If you remember in the episode series that the intersect was suppressed in Chuck and he chose not to lift the proverbial "rock" (his love for Sarah) be removed so that he could again gain access to the intersect. Sarah, had her memories forcibly removed like they were going to do with chuck when he was taken. This would allow the intersect to reactivate in Sarah after the kiss. They could also say that removing the added components in the corrupted intersect left Sarah with a "pure" version of it without the corrupted programing erasing her memory again. Sort of like resetting your device to factory default concerning the intersect itself. This would allow both Chuck and Sarah to have each an intersect. Also,
The money seized by Decker could be freed and would allow them to branch out into other areas of technology inventions. Giving Jeff and Lester a reason to come back from Germany to pursue their technology aspirations working for Chuck and Sarah.

There are two ways to stop the intersect option A: suppress it this is what Chuck's mum did (probably so he could help later on) it keeps the intersect down but doesn't remove it fragments are still there
B: remove it is basically take it away which is what Quinn did to Sarah once he finished flashing her so she wouldn't flash anymore and he wouldn't lose any more memories that could stop his personal super assassin
It doesn't matter what we come up with now. The creators have no interest whatsoever in giving us a solid ending. They have even said so themselves. Bragged about it, no less.

i wanted closure. i wanted Sarah to remember everything after the kiss. just like this vid. i also want the series to keep on going, to see if Chuck and Sarah quit spying after their baby is born. or if they finally got to move into their dream house. In end, I wanted Sarah to be the same Sarah as before and for chuck to buy the dream house and raise the baby in it.
So easily it could have been made perfect instead of still hurting. Thanks for this :)

I still don't get why he never showed her the drawing he made of them with the house and baby. She specifically said "of course I'll never forget that". So maybe that instead of the kids would have brought her memory back. Plus the spy box like her in case of death box whatever was in it.
I think he did show her that in Chuck VS Sarah but she continued to say that her spy skills were so good that it convinced him that she loved him

Good point but I think CIA would have started keeping Sara's mum and "sister" under close watch seeing as the baby almost got caught so I think it would have taken way too long to get her details off of the CIA and Beckman was kinda in a pissed off mood during this entire story arc so I don't think Chuck could easily get her to give him the details
She said about the name carving that she would always remember that and she did...plus the drawing was in his appartment and he took her directly to their dream.home....it worked since she remembered the name she wrote and stopped she was doubting the orders when quinn stepped in because he too found out sarah was remembering as he was on comms

I've been a great fan of Chuck since I watched the premier episode back in 2007. Hulu didn't have season 5 of Chuck, so I wasn't able to watch the finale until yesterday.

I used to watch the series when it aired back in the day but never got to finish it until now. After watching the ending, I've been absolutely depressed for 8 straight days because what I had pictured in my head as the ending for the 2 of them for almost 6 was far better than what we actually got from the series. The ending here is absolutely perfect and exactly what I expected would happen but never did. I can't believe they messed it up so badly. I love your ending. The ending I would have liked to see would have been that chuck had to put the neural governor back on and as he kissed Sarah, Chuck bumped her with it and the neural governor rest her memory as he was kissing her. Still great and it would have had some basis in the series for her memory being restored. I wrote them letters to see if they would change the ending for the DVD release but unfortunately, my ending didn't happen. I really like that you made your own.
I had thoughts that were similar to that, but it was more like chuck just giving Sarah the intersect and letting her disarm the bomb. The problem was that in the story they said that it would take multiple days to configure it so that it could restore her memories, which is the fault in your ending.
No I mean that Chuck would get the intersect back and he would have to wear the governor, but when he got back with Sarah and gave her the kiss (which was set up by Morgan so well in the script) that the governor that Chuck would have to wear would conduct through him and his lips during the kiss and realign Sarah's memories and she would get her memory back. Because it was an intersect that took them away it would follow that an invention of Chuck's father would restore it and we would have had a happily ever after ending.

I loved this show from the beginning and I loved every single thing about it, except the ending. I hated the fact that Sarah lost her memory and she was unable to remember Chuck or how much she loved him. I had a feeling that everything she did over the past 5 years was for nothing. And then, for ending to be even worse, they don't even give you a decent closure if she gained her memory back or not. This alternate ending is all they should have done. This is all I needed to see.

If you want to understand the ending, you need to first interpret the bunker scene prior to this one.
Here are the clues:
• Sarah is shown first (She stated earlier that she was going to disappear after the mission.)
• Chuck is at the head of the table
• Sarah is dressed up in a skirt and heals wearing power colors
• Sarah is not wearing her wedding ring
• Sarah protects Chuck by taking the blame for the team breaking up
• Sarah says I need to find myself and trades glances with Chuck
• Casey also responded to Sarah’s statement with a glance
• Sarah witnesses the exchange between Chuck and Casey
• Casey, an extreme version of Sarah, is hugging Chuck
• Sarah glances at Chuck to witnesses Chuck’s response to Casey
• Casey grabs Sarah's handshake with both hands capturing Sarah’s attention. He quickly rolls his eyes to Chuck, then looks back at Sarah and winks (Chuck is unaware to what just happened)
My brief interpretation:
• Sarah is saying: Chuck, I see you and I now understand why I married you. I’m still not feeling it but I know if I let go of you I will lose something special. Please don’t give up on me. I will fight to try to come back to you. I need time.
• Casey is saying: Sarah (non-verbally) Look to Chuck for help.
Remember Sarah's original problems were she had trust issues and a closed heart. Now, rewatch the ending and it will all make sense. Sarah is starting to feel the love.

Thanks for this video, although I prefer not to chose whether Sarah gets her memory back or not, it was in my opinion a risky but excellent call to let some doubt over it, even though it's clear that she and Chuck will be together again.
And by the way, The Book of Love, great choice of music ! Reminded me of the ending of Scrubs, which is also one of my favorite shows, now alongside Chuck, Psych and others. All three endings teared me up quite a bit, literally. Feels good to shed some more or less manly tears once in a while :)
i loved this finale and I loved psych's (much less ambuguity lol), and they are both my two favorite comedies.

I know they said it's up to whomever watches it to deside how it really ended but that's just being lazy. They ran out of money or they just couldn't think of anything. That's why we get crappy endings for shows. And most show endings involve a recap of everything...I usually hate it because it seems lazy to me, but in your case I think you did it well.

Is this a version a fan made up or is this honestly the version that never was shown. I like this way better the show should have continued not ended. I did read thou that Zack aka chuck is trying to get at least a movie done so the fans are satisfied I hope he can.

its amazing... actually, this is what probabily happens/will happen on our minds when we saw the chuck vs goodbye. Everybody didnt like the end because it didnt show what happened with Sara, but it didnt mean that wasnt real your alternative version. Probabily, your ending version is what the main prodecers had in mind, but decided to let the Fans thinking about and dreaming... anyway, great job

For me this was show was a love story hiding as a spy comedy, which is why the ending just doesn’t work for me.
Chuck and Sarah’s relationship was always the heart of the show which is why I will never understand why the writers thought it was a good idea to have Sarah lose all her memories of Chuck.
