I think the last 15 years have been a statistical outlier from a winners point of view. Before that it was normal to win the Ballon d'Or with similar performances as Vini today. Figo, Nedved and Zidane won although not having incredible numbers in terms of goals and assists. Also it wasn't expected from a midfielder or a winger to have numbers like a striker. Then there were Michael Owen who didn't win Premiere League or Champions League scoring 18 times in the league who won it. Or Shewtschenko who didn't win the Champions League in that year as well crashing out in the quarters I think. Same can be said about Ronaldinho who was the best player in 2005 but crashed out against Chelsea. In my opionion Mbappe, Kane and Haaland are crushing the old generation strikers with their numbers and would be deserved winners. Vini is playing a season Figo would have dreamed of (maybe on par with Rivaldos season) and Bellingham has a season comparable to the ones of Nedved or Zidane. The fact that Kane, Haaland, Suares or Lewandowski were scoring so many goals over the years is crazy. These guys were putting out better numbers than the best strikers of the generation of players I grew up with (Ronaldo, Henry, Van Nistelroy, Shewtschenko, Raul). We should value the new players and not compare them with Messi and Ronaldo because I think we will only be disappointed in doing so.

Rodri, was a dominating force in the Premier League, Champions League, and in the Euro Cup, without him, I am most certain Spain would not have won the Euro Cup. His only blemish on that 2023-2024 season was when MC had a close lost to RM in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, but due to no fault of his own. Bellingham was fire the first 3/4 of the season. He carried Real Madrid the first 3/4 of the season due to his elite plays scoring many goals. RM eventually won both the Champions League and La Liga. He also helped get England to the finals of the Euro Cup. We all only tend to remember the last 1/4th of the season. We forget just how great he was the first 3/4 of the season, and only faded towards the end, most likely due to fatigue because he played just about every minute of every game. Vini carried only Real Madrid through the LAST half of the season. RM might not even have won the Champions League nor Liga without Vini's great play that last half of the season. In Cop America though, Vinicious did absolutely nothing (same for Rodrygo). However, with his elite play making abilities for Real Madrid that last half of the season, that gave Real Madrid both the La Liga and Champions League Title, and that might be enough for him to win the Ballon D'or.

Jude is the only person i think is worthy, I'm not a Real Madrid fan neither am i English, but i know that that guy played incredibly well for his club and country, his club felt his absence when he was injured too
he hasnt, he had no influence on the KO cl stage at all and got owned and cocked by players everyone would consider as far worse than he is (Bernado silva, laimer etc). I think the last 15 years have been a statistical outlier from a winners point of view. Before that it was normal to win the Ballon d'Or with similar performances as Vini today. Figo, Nedved and Zidane won although not having incredible numbers in terms of goals and assists. Also it wasn't expected from a midfielder or a winger to have numbers like a striker. Then there were Michael Owen who didn't win Premiere League or Champions League scoring 18 times in the league who won it. Or Shewtschenko who didn't win the Champions League in that year as well crashing out in the quarters I think. Same can be said about Ronaldinho who was the best player in 2005 but crashed out against Chelsea. In my opionion Mbappe, Kane and Haaland are crushing the old generation strikers with their numbers and would be deserved winners. Vini is playing a season Figo would have dreamed of (maybe on par with Rivaldos season) and Bellingham has a season comparable to the ones of Nedved or Zidane. The fact that Kane, Haaland, Suares or Lewandowski were scoring so many goals over the years is crazy. These guys were putting out better numbers than the best strikers of the generation of players I grew up with (Ronaldo, Henry, Van Nistelroy, Shewtschenko, Raul). We should value the new players and not compare them with Messi and Ronaldo because I think we will only be disappointed in doing so.

For me Rodri is 1st, Bellingham a very close 2nd, and Vinicious a close 3rd, though I would have no complaints if any 1 of these 3 won the Ballon d'Or.
Rodri, was a dominating force in the Premier League, Champions League, and in the Euro Cup, without him, I am most certain Spain would not have won the Euro Cup. His only blemish on that 2023-2024 season was when MC had a close lost to RM in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, but due to no fault of his own.
Bellingham was fire the first 3/4 of the season. He carried Real Madrid the first 3/4 of the season due to his elite plays scoring many goals. RM eventually won both the Champions League and La Liga. He also helped get England to the finals of the Euro Cup. We all only tend to remember the last 1/4th of the season. We forget just how great he was the first 3/4 of the season, and only faded towards the end, most likely due to fatigue because he played just about every minute of every game.
Vini carried only Real Madrid through the LAST half of the season. RM might not even have won the Champions League nor Liga without Vini's great play that last half of the season. In Cop America though, Vinicious did absolutely nothing (same for Rodrygo). However, with his elite play making abilities for Real Madrid that last half of the season, that gave Real Madrid both the La Liga and Champions League Title, and that might be enough for him to win the Ballon D'or.
