I'm a big fan of Joe Baggs tog jigs. Great hooks and he has large jigs for party boat fishing. Bottom sweeper jigs are also great for urban tog fishing.
I never though about fish curry but with tog being so firm I bet that turned out great. I have some Korean curry powder in the cupboard and will have to try it.
Glad that such a solid brand and parent company supports On The Water. @Kevin you mentioned the kayak's stability. With more wind and some chop, how might a 10' 6" or 12' Sportsman perform? The 13' 6" might be too big for my kind of transport.
@@kevinblinkoff8466 An early 2000s Ford Explorer, so thinking of cartopping it or using a hitch extender. Whichever provides greater peace of mind over longer treks on the highway. I'm gonna go the PDL route: Sportsman 106, 120 or Bigwater 132.
@@topwater_tommy I am a fan of the Bigwater - I actually find it easier to get on top of an SUV (nissan pathfinder) because I can "lever" it up by putting the bow up first and then lifting the stern. And if you are doing a lot of saltwater fishing, it handles open water waves and chop a bit better than the 106/120
@@kevinblinkoff8466 Perfect timing. A few days ago I was able to secure a Predator PDL! Looking forward to picking it up this weekend. I came to the same conclusion about length given where I fish and I saw a 2020 Predator in a color scheme I've wanted for a long time. Cheers.
No registration/Hull Identification Numbers on the kayaks? Thought ALL boats powered by a motor (including electric motors), and operated in public MA waterways had to be registered.
Toggin' is the best! I would recommend keeping those cut up legs as chum to keep the fish under the boat.
Tog is love, Tog is life!
Champing at the bit to get out there... This is the time of year I organize and reorganize my tackle every few days in anticipation.
Another amazing video. Tog are my absolute favorite fish to target. Can't wait for the spring season to open up in April here in NJ
Yea buddy 👍
@@anglerissues2309 haha, yes indeed my friend. We're getting close!
Can't wait to get back on the water!
Your filming is awesome. You guys always kill it.
Thanks for watching @Fishing Long Island!
Really like this video... Taug fishing and the AP / spotlock are a great combo. Thanks for sharing... stay safe you guys.

Awsome video can't wait to get back out there on my kayak although mine isn't that nice 😂
That fever is setting in as the days go ... my yak is ready for april here in nyc
You got me itching for some fishing.👍
Bunker schools were incredible in BBay in the late fall last year.
Great channel with top notch content. Views and subscribers should be triple of the current stats
Thanks @d bourke! We're working towards it!
Chowdah looks great! Made blackfish marsala last week and it's killah!

@@Tog_Tastic Not curry, Marsala wine and mushrooms
@@peterbattista7261 Ahh gotcha
Damn that chowdah sounds & looks good.
It was really good! Very much recommend Andy's recipe.
@@OnTheWaterMedia Yes, unfortunately I couldn't add taste to my comment above!
He sure has some great recipes up his sleeve!
Excellent!

Hi Matt - what's you transport? and are you looking at pedal drive or Autopilot?

Nice fish!!
Thanks 👍
Remember Togs crush shell fish with their teeth so keep your fingers away from their mouths.
guess i know where my stimulus check is going. lol
I’m lookin for a good lightweight tog rod for the kayak. What were you using if you don’t mind me asking?
That setup is probably a little shy of a used bowrider! Lol
What type of battery are you using ? Lithium ?
Where I can go fishing on my kayak I’m new to kayak fishing.
Where are you from?

I know exactly where you launched
Where so I can go ?
You should not be fishing colder water without a drysuit or drytop/waders combo. Very foolish.
