Yes, I really appreciate Lacuna Coil Female Vocalist (Cristina Scabbia) especially Live. She has that rare ability to sound better Live then in Studio version. Her Live vocals are breathtaking ans soul piercing.

Although I love the stage production making the stage a "circus", I still love the Lacuna Coil when they had 2 guitarists. The "circus" is just a one-off thing. No need to understand it as long as you enjoy it and if it's not a distraction from the music. Regarding the bass sound, the leader of the band (Marco Coti Zelati) and the main songwriter happens to be the bassist. If you want to listen to Lacuna Coil in your private time, I strongly recommend listening to their album "Comalies". Nothing technical but beautiful melodic songwriting.
As I understand it, Lacuna Coil hail from the north of Italy. So, Italy’s finest, bringing their excellent Gothic metal to all. I agree that Cristina Scabbia has an awesome voice, and surprisingly sweet in its upper range for a contralto. Before they broke through and got big, they were the opening band on a Danzig tour. He mentioned that in an interview, and also said they are “now one of the best f***ing bands out there.” And it’s true- they really got great Gothic grandeur.

So no, this is not what you would've seen an album or two back and beyond.
Really enjoyed this! I'd considered requesting Lacuna coil, especially for Cristina's vocals, from back when you were in the NW zone. Amazing voice.
Lacuna Coil accompanies me since almost 30 years
I like the first albums the most but the last ones also have very good songs on them.
And yes this style with face paint and costumes they only use since a few years, some like it some dont.
Their earlier songs are more "pure" for me , they had a big hit album with Comalies, which sold over 500k copies, most of them in the USA in 2002. My favorite songs are from this one, but maybe too boring for a first reaction or a second or third... :)
Thanks for the request! I was pretty sure that DH would enjoy this a lot and had considered making requests for LC in the future. I'm personally not the biggest fan of male growl vocals (although they do them really well) but really enjoy the music and especially Cristina's voice is amazing.
Thanks Homegnome, Personally i like many harsh Vocal Bands ( but not all) Lacuna Coil does at least 40 if not 50% of their songs with no hard vocals at all. Check out for Example End of Times Music Video, this song even POP People will love :) And Andrea( the male vocalist can sing perfectly fine normally)
I will do further requests for Lacuna Coil over next year and I'm sure i will not please everyone with my choices because there are over 100 of songs and I already have read some requests here in the comments that I personally dont like. Do you have any suggestions ?..Its also hard to find good Live or MV Videos for them. But Veneficium i want to request at some point, Bad Things is also an awesome performance from her but the song is so damn short with 3:10, also older songs like Our Truth and the newest Never Dawn, my favorite song of them is i guess, Tight Rope but its hard to choose@@homegnome2429
What i take away from the lyrics is very prog metal. A sorceress on the battlefield casting a spell helping the warriors or something like that....very very cool stuff. The writing paints a very epic picture....great stuff from the coil.

The thing is, there are so many good bands who are similar with their sound and production - a symphonic metal goth sound for want of a description. Think Nightwish, Within Temptation, Dimmi Borgir etc. It is difficult to stretch yourself to follow, buy the albums and see all the bands live. Sadly, sacrifices have to be made. As you have discovered with Lacuna Coil.
Yes this Show was a One Time Thing at least the Dancers, the Style and Makeup and different costumes is always going at least the last years.
Especially Christina and Andrea do way more crowd interaction without such a Show.
Guitar and Bass are normally close up front Stage.
They also toured some time with Peter Steele and Type O and become good friends, and they also did a Tribute Song to him. Have seen them booth at once, that was wonderful.

I'm so glad you finally got to see Lacuna Coil - I've been amazed by Cristina's voice since they broke out into the US market with Heaven's A Lie - which is still my favorite! That song would be my vote for your next LC song, but I'm sure their big fans will have more/better recommendations.
I think you need to pull a "It's My Channel" - and treat yourself to a few Lacuna Coil reactions....you'll be happy....
I clicked on this video thinking "oh man, DH is gonna love this". Glad I was right. One of my favourites as well. You have to know going further in though that this is one of their heaviest songs and quite a lot of stuff is much softer. Not worse, just softer. If you want this exact sound, the albums Delirium (which this song is off of) and Black Anima will probably be your best bet.

Hey David, Lacuna Coil fan here, better late than never :) LC is an amazing band, they have a lot of heavy songs, especially from the last two albums Delirium and Black Anima. The previous albums are less heavy but also great. If you want to listen to their heavy songs, I recommend their last single released this year "Never Down" or "Layers of Time", "Reckless" and especially "Veneficium" from their last album. Live, I recommend the song "Out Truth" from the Woodstock Poland 2016 concert. If you want to hear what a wonderful voice Cristina Scabbia (vocalist) has, I recommend the song "Falling" from the same concert. She also recorded the Diablo II Resurrected song "Start Again" or the Metal:Hellsinger game song "Dream Of The Best". Thanks for your reaction and I hope to see more Lacuna Coil on your channel. For February i will request Victims from Poland 2016 concert, but i will request "Never Down" or "Layers of Time", "Reckless" and Veneficium also next year , every month one song, because this Band has to less Reactions to them
Absolutely love Lacuna Coil, forget when I got into them but have been hooked ever since. It's already been mentioned in another comment but definitely worth checking out Layers Of Time and Reckless. Layers Of Time and Reckless I'd recommend watching both one after the other since Layers Of Time leads into Reckless. 🤘🤘

This is the first song of two. The second song, "You Love Me Because I Hate You". The two songs in order, tell a complete story. Watch them both and then you'll understand.

i knew the name too for several years, 6 months ago i put on an LC playlist on while gaming and was blown away, theyve got alooot of good songs, a nice addiction
This show was a one-off with the circus motif. 1/19 is the band's birthday and they were making a celebration of the show. That is probably why their energy and interaction was a bit lacking since they are not used to the other people on stage with them? I don't know for sure, but I have seen them without the dancers and they are really entertaining to watch
I remember that you had a similar reaction to In Flames. I hope you listen to more of them sometime.
