i just got the e2500 and plug n play and wideband kit for my jdm ep3 type r - the base rom didnt get the alternator working - needed to tweak some settings in the base map (pid for alternator) to get that charging - the factory knock sensor is crap with the haltech ecu - get the haltech knock sensor and use that - very happy to tell you any gotchas i had but im pretty sure you'll be fine with it. check all the tables as some of the axis are weird (like cam angle defaults to using tps vs rpm not map vs rpm and a few other things) yeah - big purchase - but you wont need to replace it in a hurry - also i got injectors - bosch motorsports ones - enter the settings that come with the injectors into the ecu and the car starts and runs without needing a retune. Good investment - im super happy with it and future proof - you will be too :) ( i used xspurt injectors 1000cc from msel.co.nz - $120nzd per injector) Cant wait to see you do vids about the install and running and tuning of the ecu on the kseries :)

Excellent choice ! I’ve been running a haltech elite 1000 for 3 years now and I absolutely love it. The short / long trim fuel trim functions let’s you optimize your ve table. The safety’s are excellent too

Haltech elite is a sweet setup. I went with AEM infinity on my turbo k series.
No reasons to go overboard unless it's a crazy 450 whp NA drag build or crazy sfwd setup.

My guess is you’ll make maybe 260. My personal opinion; ditch the all engine build and go turbo.
I made 310hp on a smaller setup. I drive a supercharged daily and my girl has 2 turbo cars. We don't need another turbo build right now lol

We would all love one for ou r kswaps ..but .. With the same money as a haltech ecu and harness we can buy another healthy k24a2 and 6spd transmission... I mean kpro which is 20 yr old shit technology is a ripoff at 695 but haltech asks 3 times that. And all of us building and buying k parts are on a.budget not you tubers getting free parts or paid to sway us to buy overpriced parts.. .
That why allmotor sucks, u have run big cams,e85 etc to make power. To daily drive a car like that is not responsible. U should have turbo it and drove it to car meets like the good old days.
