Proof of the NPC stupidity in GTA V
"Look! Cars blowing up! What should we do?" "Let's go fast inside this mess, maybe we'll be lucky enough and no car will blow up once we go in!" Car blows up...
Even NPC in Skyrim (who, when there is a dragon attack in a town, go fight the dragon instead of running away, even though they might die) aren't that stupid...
But it's so funny! Especially when they get stuck on something. And the paramedics are hilarious!
Phoenix Wolf it's funny when you watch it from outside this mess. It's less funny when you try to escape this NPC crash madness, and then one runs you over.
And yes, the paramedics are complete fools. Sometimes I wonder if NPC from Saints Row aren't more intelligent than those in GTA.

When I play the game, I love the random pileups that go viral, burning and exploding, over and over, claiming more and more stupid drivers entering the danger zone... It's hypnotic and savage, why do we love it so? Fog is a great cause, but cuts visibility, and we want to revel in the growing gory destruction... Thanks for sharing this classic! :)

The last clip might look like some stupid KI driving their cars into each other.
But watch closely. There is definitely more meaning in it.
The developers want to clarify the transience of life. All cars are protagonists which symbolise human beings struggling in their way of life. After all, the only thing remaining is death, which is symbolised by the explosions. That´s why all the cars were pulled into the pileup, although every car (human being) tries another way to get past it. The modern medicine, as shown by the paramedics, is no help as well.
Another important message is emphasized at 6:30 : Every action has a reaction and ends up deadly as well.
My personal hero in this fable is symbolised by the smart at 9:40 for being creative in finding solutions for his struggle, but I guess the car lost his life in the water later.
If I overlooked another car getting through the pileup, the only thing I can say is: Every game has its bugs.
