Sure hope you can come back someday and hike this section on a clear day! It's amazing! You guys are making great progress! The Sierra will be so different when you go back to finish the section you skipped due to snow. I sure enjoyed watching you in the winter conditions. Seeing Rumbles cross those raging Sierra creeks was terrifying! Love the humor! Happy trails!
I have loved following along on your hikes. I’m gonna be sad when it’s over I wish you could be live when you hit Canada. It has been such a great joy watching the three of you, and that has been such an inspiration
Cispis pass( sis piss) is gorgeous normally. I’m sorry you are missing the jaw dropping views but at least you are able do do it. Often this time of year it can still be socked in with clouds. Just be happy if you don’t have gale force winds there that can come up on the knifes edge trail of goat rocks. There is a glacier you have to go up to get to the knifes edge trail. That snow is there all year long. Congrats at being less than 400 miles to go. Have fun at the kracker barrel. It’s a good pit stop. You all planning an excursion to Leavenworth? I can relate to Beetle. I’m the older lady with some bad bad knees that can’t hike just any trail. Cuz I can’t do rock scrambles or long descents. But I follow the pct hikers cuz I love and miss those places where I grew up hiking. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us arm chair codgers who you inspire to do day hikes that are more smoothe and shorter distances 😊
Hi! I am Beetles mom! You guys are amazing, your journey has reassured me and allowed me to experience some of what my daughter is enjoying and enduring! Happy Trails🥰
Finished up the Goat Rocks section just a day ago and man we got lucky with clear skies and out of this world views. Our views weren't that smokey! Lol
I see a forest with trees in various stage of life include he sunshine and blue skies of a Goldilocks day in the forest as well as the lazy and hazy days of summer.
What a beautiful experience to have Birds eating right from your hand. That happened to me years ago when I was hiking on the NM/CO border near Taos. It is a special gift for sure. Glad you received that gift!
"sispuss" pass at 10:55...just sayin'...and apologies for the smoke. It's what we are dealing with these days. Loved that bit with the gray jays (Camp Robbers, as they are known locally) greeting Hazel!! Happy Trails through Goat Rocks!!
Thanks again guys, I am so hooked on watching you guys finish. As a Canadian, just want to say sorry for the smoke and hope that you can make it to Canada without wildfires stopping you. (fingers crossed!!!). Keep on keeping on.
I'm also hooked on the Codger hikers. Great hiking today and views, even tho they may be smokey. Under 400 miles to Canada! You're all doing well! Happy trails!
Goat Rocks is worthy of its own dedicated hike. I def plan on going back to explore. Had amazing weather and views on my ‘19 trek. Hoping it clears up for you.
Wow.......Canada is going to get a new name.......old Smokey......I would never guess a fire country ..........goat rock.....where's mountain goat ......goat goat....cheers
The Goat Rocks is such a spectacular area, too bad the smoke is obscuring the views. If it's not smoke, it's lots of low clouds in that area. Beautiful nonetheless. I just looked at my FarOut app, didn't realize that section is farther south in WA than I thought. Birds eating out of Hazel's hand was neat!
Something about the codgers that make people
Love you folks. Thanks for the hike along.. keep pushing happy trails aloha

Those grey Jays stole a bagel sandwich out of my hands on top of Mt Si in 20 mph winds and freezing fog. They are beasts!
Hiking with Codgers is an inspiration

Enjoyed meeting your daughter and saw her again today. Who knows but we might reach the border at the same time. She has a great tramily.

It’s amazing how healthy y’all have been!
I just hiked from Trout Creek Lake to White Pass a month ago. I'm sorry it's not clear for you all. It's spectacular!
❤❤❤ xxx

Washington is a beautiful state to hike…I hope you actually get to enjoy it with all that smoke and focus on miles and reaching the border…

Such a shame. I heard that’s the prettiest section on the PCT. Still killing it.

A couple of old goats and a mountain goat in the Goat Rocks! 😂
Here we go 🚶♂️
The smoke is insane !!!

Bummer about the views! Hope everyone is okay with the fires! Hazel looked like Snow White with the bird!
MARMALADE !
👍👍🤙🤙
Cispus. Cis pus. I was a camp counselor at Camp Cispus in 1970.
Smokey views. 25 miles good day.
Burnt forest and smoke filled air is not what I think of as a nice hike in the great outdoors.
It's been smokey here in the Seattle area for the past few days.
Yes worried about you all breathing the Smoke 🍃

Cispus Pass views are the best on a clear day. So sorry you did not get to see it.
Goat rocks and knifes edge was one of my favorites on the trail. I sorry it’s obscured by the smoke. It’s one of a kind views
Be safe ...remember that ash and water make lye which is used in soap.
Wait a minute. I'm 43. Does that make me an older person watching you all!!
Washingtonian here. You should wear masks with the smoke, it contains ash. We see it on our vegetables in our garden😩
That´s realy a pitty to have such smoke in this great area.
Looks like Joe changed his tent set up a bit
I’m sorry that the most beautiful segments of the entire trail are hidden in smoke. The North Cascades is on fire.
And the N Cascades Hwy is closed because of another fire jumping the road. Can’t see a thing up here 🙁 Stay safe ya’ll
I hope you're all ok and not getting your lungs full of ash. Wildfire smoke can be quite bad.
Hopefully it’s not goats throwing rocks, that would hurt.
