Hi there. Thank you for taking the time to create this video. This is the first digital bujo video I have come across that remains true to the essence of what is proposed in Ryder’s bullet journal book.
I’ve been dabbling with bullet journaling for a bit ever since my son introduced me to it. I am looking to get more serious with it, but I wanted to use my iPad mini instead of the pens and paper. I liked that you kept it simple and on point without the distracting whimsical art diversions that most of the other Journal videos are focused on. Not that there isn’t room for it, but basics first. I also liked the mentioning of reflection. I also greatly appreciate the focus mode idea for journaling and planning you proposed. I hadn’t considered that until you mentioned it.
Anyway you’ve earned a like an a subscription. 👍. Keep up the good work!

Thanks a lot, I appreciate the support. It’s definitely possible to get lost in the arty side of it and lose the value.

Can Good Notes 5 do what I want on an iPad mini 6, that is replicate my old logbook that I have used for years on paper? I devised my own custom logbook of numerous entry spaces that includes for example, blood pressure, prescription drug taken, work hours, books read - the list is long. Using the book let alone prepping it is so detailed that it is a time suck. I want to create a sort of database notebook that I can choose to ignore sections or fill everything out, maybe even hiding the parts that have zero information. Most of all I want to literally duplicate the appearance of the logbook I am very familiar with.
    Old notebook...
    Upsides..
U1. Suits *my* custom needs and can be changed as I go (unless I have already drawn the template for long periods)
U2. Nothing to learn because I have used it for years
    Downsides...
D1. Cumbersome to search as in almost impossible
D2. Bulky and heavy to store old notebooks
D3. Cannot sort for example, a copy of all category B entries over a year
D4. mathematical errors of dates and day X out of day (total) in location Y
Again, I do not want to copy the Bullet journal, but instead my own variation

Sorry but I hoped when I click on this video to get more about the app … do I have to draw everything from the beginning?
And also transfer previous task all by hand?

There will be templates you can use online in you search for them. But I actually like drawing my own with bullet journaling things as I keep them basic but personalise them to exactly what I need
